About this house rental
Warm and comfortable, the bach is well insulated, well heated and has a modern kitchen. You're only 2 minutes walk from one of New Zealand's most beautiful beaches and a 15 minute drive from central Dunedin. You can enjoy a barbeque on the deck or take a 5 minute walk to an excellent fish & chip shop. We are pet friendly and the property is well fenced so your dog will be safe to roam around the lawn. Ocean View beach is one of Dunedin's best kept secrets. We lived in Dunedin for 14 years before we discovered it in 2004 and we've lived here ever since. Seven kilometres of beautiful white sand just 15 minutes drive from the centre of Dunedin. The weather is usually better than in the city with average temperature about 2 degrees warmer. The beach is often fairly deserted so don't be surprised if you're the only human in sight. If you're lucky, you might get to meet some other visitors as we often see sea lions on the beach and fur seals and penguins on the rocks near Brighton.

Small and cozy stay in a seaside town 15 mins from Dunedin. Flat lawn fully fenced, great for backyard cricket/rugby with the kids. Bedding good but sheets a bit crinkly/noisy for us, we prefer cotton for feel/quietness but that's just our preference. Would def stay again!

Loved this bach. Excellent comms with the lovely owners. Liked the location right across the beach, perfect for sunsets and sunrises. Perfect for kids as it was fully fenced. Great value everything we needed. Thanks for having us!

This bach exceeded all expectations. We had such a lovely time. Our children were entertained with the garden and ample things to play with. The beach was such a treat to walk to everyday and the drive into Dunedin was an easy one. We would definitely recommend this stay!

Stan & Heather supplied everything you would need & it is a lovely, tidy, warm home.
Would definitely go back & take our dog next time. Heaps of fenced in space & the beach is right there. Wish we had stayed longer!

The best place we have stayed in the South Island. The accomodation was lovely and had everything you needed plus. The beach was stunning and literally a 2 minute walk. Close to the fresh choice green island. Would 100% reccomend and stay again. Thank you!

Perfect spot to relax on our last two days on South Island. A simple lodging (as promised) that had all we required. Walked the beach early with only two others in sight. Listening to the birds as we enjoyed the morning sun on the patio was a treat. And the stars!

The property is small but very cute and comfortable. There are plenty of amenities and 2 heat pumps keep it very nice and warm . Great location with wonderful beach very nearby and a short hop to the spectacular tunnel beach . Very close to Dunedin

We had a lovely time in Dunedin with this place as our base. It’s 18 mins from the city centre, and a 3 minute walk to a beautiful beach. The house was super comfortable, and had everything we needed.

We love staying at this perfect little getaway! The house is comfy, clean and has everything you need. It's next to the beach but close enough to head to the city. This is the first place we check out if we have to come to Dunedin.
And they allow you to bring your well-behaved fur babies! Could it get any better? ( I think not!)

Great property, clean and cosy. The location is a fair way from the Dunedin city centre. If you looking for a more central location, Brighton is not for you.

Arrived late to find the lights on and a warm inviting house. Fantastic location between the airport and the city. Friendly hosts who checked on us in the morning, made us feel welcome and assured us to ask if we needed anything at all. We had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this place to stay.

This is our second stay at this property and I wholeheartedly recommend it. The house is clean and tidy and has everything you need to for a comfortable stay. The beach / location is beautiful and it is a real bonus to be able to bring our dogs with us.

Superb property. Clean, warm, great kitchen, great shower, amazing mattresses on beds! So amazing to find such a great property that takes dogs. 60 seconds from the beach. We will be back!

Lovely, warm and clean. Appreciated the milk and treats on arrival. Great for our 2 dogs because it is so well fenced and lovely beach just across the road. Nice coffee shop nearby. Highly recommended.

Second time and still awesome!
Returned for our 2nd stay at the Bach with young family, grandparents and dog. We love the location close to the beach, quick drive to the city, house has everything you need. A toasty house for winter with plenty of heating and electric blankets on bed. Can’t wait to get back in summer to enjoy the deck and BBQ, an absolute find for anyone who likes to travel with kids and animals! Thanks again to the owner who is super fast at communicating!’

Lovely cosy batch by the beach
Really enjoyed the closeness to the beach- we went out every day. The fully fenced section was perfect for the little ones. Lovely private section with good kitchen-lounge flow. Comfy beds with beautiful cotton sheets. Easy self check in with great communication. Thanks

Perfect wee place for our family and dog to stay at. Fully fenced and no worry about the dog escaping down to the beach. Bed so comfortable that I checked out what make it was! Hope to return again some time.
