There are wedding venues nearby, excellent caterers, Mosport race track, skiing and a short distance to lakes. In Bethany you will find a cafe with yummy treats and ice cream, an LCBO, General Store, IDA Pharmacy, Diner with take out Pizza and Gourley's Service Station. Deborah's cottage is an exceptional retreat. Her proactive and detailed communication before our arrival ensured a seamless check-in. Despite residing in the adjacent wing, Deborah respected our privacy while remaining easily reachable for any needs via text. The well-decorated living space provided every amenity, creating a cozy and stress-free environment. A unique highlight was the on-site equestrian school, offering an enlightening horseback riding session. Erica, the knowledgeable instructor, shared her passion and expertise, making the experience enjoyable for riders of all levels. We had a fantastic time at Sky Haven during our family reunion in August! The cottage stay was a true delight. The well-equipped kitchen made cooking a breeze, and the great pool added an extra layer of relaxation to the trip. It was wonderful to see how kid-friendly the place was, and the horse-riding opportunity was a big hit. We shouldn't forget to appreciate Erica's patience during the horse riding lessons. The pool table and indoor activities kept not only the youngsters but also the adults busy.
Overall, it was a PERFECT getaway for families and anyone looking to unwind amidst beautiful surroundings.

Deborah's property exceeded our expectations for our diverse group of 14, spanning ages 6 to 85! Breathtaking views and lots of activities for everyone! The pool was definitely the highlight for the children. We really appreciated how there were lots of towels and pool toys available (one less thing to worry about!). There were also a variety of outdoor games like cricket, badminton and spike ball. During the evenings we took advantage of the billiard table and shuffleboard. The property was exactly as described and we would not hesitate to return for another stress free little getaway. Overall, great location, well equipped with all basic necessities, lots of privacy and spacious for large groups.

Our stay here for the bachelorette was AMAZING. The property is breathtaking and Deborah was a great host. Our stay was all adults but would also be great with family's as there is a swing set and trampoline aswell as the STUNNING pool. Her one dog kept us company all weekend which was also a bonus. 10/10

The home was clean, spacious, with a billiards table, shuffle board, atrium, patio, out door speakers, BBQ and big pool filled with lots of toys to keep everyone busy!
Deborah and her family lives on the property but you wouldn't know it. If you needed anything she was ready by text. We have a big family and hosted a BBQ pool day. Did not know there would be an event fee, requirement of life guard and rental of portable washroom as sceptic tank can't handle more than 30 people but it was understandable, worked out and was worthwhile so please be aware of this, if you plan to do the same. Our weekend there was too short!

This is a beautiful property to stay at. There are stunning views of the surrounding rolling hills. The grounds are kept up nicely. The house was built with high quality materials and furnished with quality pieces as well. It is also very well equipped with all the cooking and serving implements you will need. We had access to the beautiful pool and grilling area. The beds were comfortable and equipped with all the linens you will ever need.
Our group was hauling race cars to go to MOSPORT. There was plenty of room to park our trailers, and easy entry and exit from the property. If you have ever pulled a trailer, you know how important that is. The house is an easy 20 minute drive to the track.
Deborah was a fantastic host!! She met us at arrival and told us all about the property and what it has to offer. She promptly answered all of our text questions. She always made sure we had what we needed.
Everyone in our group enjoyed our stay and we would absolutely stay here again.

We chose Sky Haven to host our small wedding because of the beauty of the property. The lush green grass and trees, the beautiful gardens and of course the home itself. We loved taking advantage of all of the beautiful spaces inside and out. The atrium was a beautiful indoor space, flooded with natural light. The host Deborah was incredible, she was very prompt in communication and was a dream to deal, helpful, kind and responsive.

We booked this property for our dog’s birthday getaway! We have 2 reactive dogs and the owner is very understanding and accommodating. The fenced in yard is large enough to throw the ball around and for our 2 dogs to run and play without worrying about them wandering out. The best part is the dogs are allowed in the pool!
We had an amazing time, beautiful property, the owner is very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place! They have a nice game room area with pool table and shuffleboard and a good selection of books as well. Netflix was also available on the tv!

My friends and I spent our NYE weekend at this lovely place! Lots of space (we were a group of 10) and super comfortable. Deborah was a great host, very friendly and checked in to see if there was anything more she could do to make or stay better! Overall, I’d love to come again… maybe in the summer to be able to enjoy the pool area and on site activities!

My daughter, her 5 children ranging in age from 5 to 16, and I just spent 4 nights at Sky Haven. We had an absolutely wonderful time.
The property is 27 well maintained acres that includes a trail through trees and meadow with a lovely vista. We stayed in a 5 bedroom suite with 2 full bathrooms and 1 half bathroom. It’s L shaped with 4 of the bedrooms opening onto a long room with a raised shuffleboard game, a pool table, a large dining room table, comfortable seating, and the entranceway.. Down the hallway to the kitchen and family room there is a full and a half bathroom, with the entrance to the master bedroom and spa type ensuite bathroom. The windows look out onto either a long vista facing west for the sunset, or out onto the yard with a large L shaped pool, wonderful custom built playset, and a trampoline. Everything is spacious and designed for comfort. The kitchen is huge and well designed. The family room is comfortable with a large TV and lots of DVD’s. The WIFI is good.
Deborah and her daughter live in a wing of the large building. Deborah and a friend met us when we arrived and helped us get our things moved in. We had the pool, covered furnished patio and yard to ourselves. Although the owner was living on the property it was in no way intrusive, in fact it added to the warmth of the experience. Deborah is a very gracious host. We felt like valued guests. Any questions were promptly answered and Deborah covered and uncovered the pool as per our schedule, which kept it warm and pristine. The property is clean and cozy.
We spent a lot of time in the large pool, which was warm and very well equipped. It has a slide, as well as a diving board. One part of the L is fairly shallow with a volley ball net. There are lots of floaties, pool noodles and plenty of nice large pool towels.
In addition to the above amenities the property also includes a small ranch with 8 horses. Our five kids were able to have a really meaningful horse experience that included learning about the horses and participating in taking care of them as well as a ride.
We hope to go back again next summer if not sooner.

Country setting, large space for entertaining
We used this location as accommodation while we were racing at Mosport. We had some team members and some family with us and the space was set up great for separate entertaining spaces. Although we did not spend much of our day at the Retreat, we did enjoy it when we were there. It is set up to be a great escape with plenty of room to host a large or small group. The owner was very hospitable with our requests. Beds were comfortable and the unit was clean. Recommended!

Wonderful!
I went to this beautiful property this past weekend for a cousins get-away. We all had such a wonderful time. Deborah was extremely accommodating and very kind. She was quick to reply with any inquires I had. The pictures do not do this place justice.
A few of us also did the horseback riding lessons. Ellice was the one teaching us. She was very patient and a great instructor.
I would highly recommend this property and will be booking again soon!

Amazing location for family fun!
We had an incredible weekend at Sky Haven! Our whole family went to celebrate a birthday and spend some time together . The location is spectacular, an easy drive from the city, with activities for everyone from ages 0 - 80! We had loads of winter fun, with the ski hill just minutes away, nice walks, tobogganing and horseback riding. The house itself is lovely, clean, quiet, with loads of fun games, and beautiful views. We never felt cramped and could find quiet space if needed. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals for our whole crew, and Deborah was fantastic- she answered all of our questions, and was easy to get a hold of if we needed her. We can't wait to coming back, hopefully sooner rather than later!
