This little home was very comfy. It had everything we needed and was conveniently located.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bela’s home for the past two months. This was our second stay at this house. The location is a little noisy but is so convenient for getting around. The owner is VERY responsive to calls for needs and a very nice person. We have already booked a stay for next year. Thanks Bela.

What a welcoming home Bela provides for long term stays. We like old world charm and this cottage has it. A gorgeous bathroom, comfy beds, gas fireplace for cozy evenings, and walking distance to town and nature trail along the sea. Its just sweet. Only potential negative is the proximity to main road, but we got used to it. Being here is a Staycation!

Bela made our first experience in a VRBO very easy and was the perfect solution to our temporary living needs. Being between a rental house and waiting for our new home to be completed, we were thrilled to find Bela’s home in Anacortes. She is fair, helpful and very pleasant to deal with. Bela was responsive to any questions or help needed to ensure we had a stress free stay. Anacortes is a lovely small town full of friendly people in a beautiful surrounding setting including the nearby San Juan Islands, easily accessible from this home.

We found this comfy little home our home away from home.

We had a delightful month in this cottage on the edge of Anacortes. Bela was a delightful host and the cottage was convenient to downtown. We had plenty of kitchen supplied, bathroom supplies, linens, etc. We had ample parking and lots of seating. A few family members joined us briefly and enjoyed their stay. The only negative feature is the traffic on the main road. Once we got ear plugs, this was solved.

Very simple rental process...home is very close to marina and amenities. Anacortes is beautiful!

This was my second stay here and I have to say it met my expectations from before! Every need and want was met by my beautiful hostess. Of course I plan on returning as soon as i can arrange it!!!

The modest appearance from the street disguises a lovely and perfectly spacious getaway featuring excellent beds, luxurious duvets, generous light from many windows, a quiet street, and everything you need in the vintage tiled kitchen. But you won't need to do much cooking, as the location is an easy walk to all the best locations in Anacortes. Bela's charming design of the space will win you as you walk in the door, and it's always a plus to live in beauty. Her staff helped provide quick answers to questions and everything one might need during your visit. And, the shower is one of the nicest I've experienced, including those in exclusive spas. Stay once to see for yourself, and you too will become a returning patron!

We spent the month of August in Bela’s home. It is very comfortable, two queen beds, plenty of space, dog friendly, fantastic shower and very clean. Bela is an exceptional host who met all our requests. As the house is next to the main road into town, there is road noise. However, by evening there is little traffic. We would definitely stay again and we love Anacortes and the surrounding area.

This is a lovely two bedroom house that is conveniently located just off Commercial Avenue in Anacortes. The house has everything you need for your stay. It has been updated with new appliances and walk-in shower. Local restaurants and attractions are within walking distance of the rental. The rental has been meticulously kept and is ready for visitors to simply to put away their clothes and then hit all the attractions that Anacortes has to offer. The owner, Bela, went out of her way to make sure we accessed the property and enjoyed our stay. We can't thank her enough for her helpfulness.

My husband and I rented this charming '50s bungalow during August 2016, and we loved its comfort, decor, and amenities, and the owner was as charming as the house in her relationship with us and in her regard for our needs. The house is beautifully decorated, with an upgraded bathroom (fantastic shower); washer & dryer; spacious, modern refrigerator; and a large kitchen replete with every piece of cookware and glasses/dishes one could want. The house is very well maintained, and clean as can be. The furnishings were comfortable (great beds and pillows!), and we watched shows on the large TV quite a bit. There is a handsome gas fireplace, and I wish the weather would have been cold enough to use it. We were so impressed with the house and with Bela, the owner. Since it was a warm month, we had all the windows open, and because the house is located beside Anacortes' main street, we did have some traffic noise, but it never woke me up, and when the windows are closed, this would be a non-factor. In fact, the location is super convenient to everything. We frequently walked to nearby restaurants, and were minutes from grocery and drug stores, not to mention a couple of blocks from the Tommy Thompson Trail, which winds along Fidalgo Bay. We could not have been happier with our experience at Bela's rental. I think my lucky stars I found it.

This is a charming little house that was a nice place for us to stay (coming from Seattle) for a week with a friend who was visiting the area from New Hampshire. It was immaculate and the decorating is lovely. Bela thoughtfully provided events listings, ferry schedules, and visitor guides for the area. The house is convenient to grocery stores, a nice coffee shop, restaurants, and just a few miles from the Guemes and San Juan ferries. For a longer stay, it sure beats a hotel room! There is a real dining room with a table and also a counter with two stools in the kitchen, so it could easily work for two couples. The bathroom is newly remodeled and is just lovely. The house has much built-in storage in the well-equipped kitchen, as well as in the bedrooms and bathrooms, so it is easy to shop and do some meals at home. There is also lots of space to stow your backpacks, water bottles, bike bags and hiking gear - without it being in your way. There are many great bike routes and hiking close by. Good Wi-Fi, nice washer and dryer if you have been on the road for awhile and need to do some laundry. We enjoyed a hike at Whistle Lake, took in a play at the Anacortes Community Theatre, took a day trip to San Juan Island, and ate at Bob's Clam Chowder and Barbeque Salmon (just across the street), during our time there.

We spent 4 weeks in Anacortes on our summer vacation and used some of the time to check out the area as a possible place to retire. This home was the perfect place to relax and unwind! The central location made it easy to go anywhere...downtown, the ferry dock, La Conner, Mt. Vernon, house hunting...everywhere was an easy drive. We especially appreciated the cozy living room with a big TV and a cable system, which had many more channels than our system back home. The open floor plan made possible many dinner and a movie nights for our family. There are several good restaurants within easy walking distance. The home has recently been updated and is very clean and comfortable. The remodeled shower looks like it came right out of an episode on HGTV! Bela is an awesome owner and quickly took care of the few items needing attention. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend this property!

I came to Anacortes for work, and brought my mom and little girl with me. Not sure what to expect, we were delighted by the comfy cute home we walked in to. My mom is sometimes nervous when she is in an unfamiliar place, but the very first night, she fell right to sleep, and so did I! It is centrally located, and we walked to many places, including a local park/playground for my little one and many local restaurants. The beds are super comfortable and the owner is awesome, checking in to make sure that everything was good on our side. I loved the updated feel of the older home, and it was nice to have maps, menus, and activities to do in the local area. My daughter spent hours out in the yard and checking out the cool sink and closet space...if you stay here, you'll see why. :0) She even made a reading nook in my bedroom closet because it was just her size. The kitchen not only has cooking utensils and pans, but also has a few necessities like salt, pepper and sugar and even coffee. There was only 2 things it was missing as far as having everything we needed...a pitcher (but we made do with the blender) and a blow dryer, but not that big of a deal. If I was coming back, I definitely would look this place up...I would not want to stay anywhere else. Thank you Bela for being such a gracious host and for visiting with my mom and daughter!

We loved staying here. We found this property on Homeaway and while reluctant to commit to a property with no reviews we were very pleasantly surprised to find an owner who has vast experience in the hospitality industry and it showed. Bela was the best! The home has been tastefully updated, it is conveniently located to downtown Anacortes, shopping and the Marinas. All the conveniences of home with a fully stocked kitchen, good wi-fi for streaming, washer/dryer, and a GREAT shower! We were quite comfortable staying and hated to have to leave. We hope to return very soon ... If it is not already booked.
