My family enjoyed our stay at this homestead. Kids were really taken with the pool table. Area is quiet. Check in process seamless. Staff friendly and informative. Highly recommended

We'll remember our stay fondly! Incredible place, really unique, our kids loved the full-sized billiards table and made the most of having serve-yourself breakfast included. What this place lacks in creature comforts, it makes up for in uniqueness.

Had a great stay. This is a lovely place, if only the walls could talk.
Close to town, well kitted out....except no vegemite in the cupboard! Ha ha :-) But every thing else you could imagine.

This was a lovely place to stay. Beautiful, old rooms, but modern kitchen and communal area. Ideal location near downtown Dubbo.

A grand place to stay
This is a historic property with multiple private rooms and shared living spaces. Our rooms were huge and very comfortable. There is a lovely big eat in kitchen and a good selection of continental breakfast items. The house also has a full size billiard table, two lounge areas, a swimming pool and a library - all available for use by guests. Would definitely recommend as an interesting and comfortable place to stay.

we booked in 3 weeks earlier, but 10 minutes before we were to step onto their property we were called to say that they were double booked, the owner said there was plenty of other rooms available in the town but there was nothing left in the town, basically the tone in his voice it was all a big joke to him, so as far as staying there well they can forget it ever and i will be sharing this experience with everyone i know

Spacious Heritage Property
Ranelagh is a lovely old guesthouse at the edge of Dubbo. The bedrooms are spacious and well stocked for sleeping comfort. The lounge and all communal areas were charming, and having 2 areas for relaxation meant that we could be by ourselves or share those rooms with the other occupants. The kitchen was well stocked with basic provisions for a continental breakfast, though some fresh coffee would have been welcome. Our bathroom was clean and we were provided with plenty of towels. It was a very pleasant overnight stay and would have been a great spot for a longer stay, as the kitchen cupboards were very well stocked with basic provisions for cooking.

Historic Ranelagh
We have stayed at this beautiful property twice and have found it a comfortable and impressive property. Linens are spotless and the property is vast and full of heritage features.

Ranelagh offers a unique experience in a character filled heritage property. The bedrooms and parts of the house are quite dark but this is typical of the age and sheer size of the house. Being a guest house you do need to be prepared for the comings and goings of the other guests and the housekeepers. My small-medium sized dog was allowed inside but larger dogs are not. The pet cottage where larger dogs are to be kept is horrible and is basically a dark big cage in a shed. We also had issued with bindis and burrs that are everywhere. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Nobody onsite to greet you, guests all confused. DONT take pets, the ‘Pet Cottage’ is nothing more than a big cage. On subzero nights they freeze. And there are handwritten instructions from the housekeeper all around the house. I felt like I was in my grandmothers house with her looking over my shoulder making sure I didn’t make a mess. And it’s on a busy main road with trucks thundering past all night. For the price, not worth it.

Charming period home
We stayed with our two young kids. They loved the old fashioned rooms with four poster beds, the horse in the front paddock and the billiard table! The character of the house is quite amazing but we did find the bedrooms a bit dark and imposing at first. The other challenge was that our bathroom was across the shared living area from our bedrooms, but I believe other bedrooms have an ensuite or bathroom right next door - I'd make sure you get one of these if you prefer to keep to yourself. We had a lot of contact/chat with other guests which we quite like - but this might not be the place for you if you don't like interacting with others. Ideal house to book the whole thing for a family group though!

Perfect for families
We had a great time. The house has great character and everything that is needed. Our boys loved the pool table, and afternoon tennis was a must. Extremely enjoyable - look forward to returning.
