About this house rental
Situated in Reed Creek, this lovely house for $448 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This beautiful Lake Hartwell home is located on a private lot, with deep water, in the sought-after Reed Creek area. This Jerry Turner built home has views of the lake and quality finishes throughout. The great room with fireplace is open to the dining area and kitchen with granite counters and a large island. The main level also includes a master suite and half bath. The lower level great room opens onto a lower deck just a stone's throw from the lake. The finished terrace level has a large rec room, two more bedrooms, and another full bath. You have an open view of the lake from both levels of the home. There is a concrete drive with plenty of parking and a location for boat trailer parking. The lower level deck offers additional space for outdoor entertaining and grilling. From the deck there is a short-improved walkway to the covered slip dock. The home comfortably sleeps 10-12 people (8 adults maximum) and is fitting for guests of all ages. Boat slip is occupied with the owners boat. However, if you decide to bring your own boat or rent a boat, docking it outside of the slip is not an issue. Follow on Facebook- Grateful at Hart

Renting a lake house in November probably isn't on the mind of many vacationers, but Grateful at Hart was exactly what we were looking for. The home is beautiful and while we really only used the primary level, it has plenty of room for larger groups. Lake views abound in this home. We particularly liked the enclosed balcony off the primary level. Our dog could enjoy it with us without worry that he might sneak away. Lake level was down as is normal this time of year, but that didn't detract from the views. There was still plenty of water to gaze at and enjoy. We took advantage of the lovely fireplace and enjoyed a quiet Thanksgiving Day relaxing in this beautiful home. We had no issues during our stay, just a couple of questions that Chad & Natalee answered right away - even on Thanksgiving Day. For those with dogs, the kitchen has an elevated dog feeding station which we very much appreciated. The size best accommodates larger dogs and while we brought our own, dog dishes are provided. The neighborhood is lovely and was great for walking our dog. Boat ramp is a half mile away and we walked there just about everyday to see more of the lake. We visited the quaint town of Hartwell a couple of times and loved it. We particularly enjoyed Southern Hart Brewing and Common Grounds. The location is also close to Greenville which is a fun day trip. Enjoyed our stay so much we didn't want to leave. Chad & Natalee were kind enough to extend our stay which we so appreciate.

Another great summer week on the lake! This is our favorite cove and this home was perfect for our family and friends to enjoy right before the kids go back to school. We rented a boat again and spent most of the time fishing and swimming. We brought our 10 month old golden retriever too and she loved the lake. The hosts were extremely responsive and we had everything we needed during our stay. Can't wait to do it again next August!

Very nice view of the lake Hartwell. House was well maintained. Only downside to house is no turnaround for boat trailer. Had to back boat down long driveway. House is about 45 mins from Green pond landing. I would recommend this house for anyone wanting to fish the south and west side of Lake Hartwell.

My family had a wonderful time at Natalee and Chad's home! The views on the lake are stunning! If you rent a boat as we did, the dock is very easy to dock your boat to. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need. There is a basketball net outside, which my son loved! The gas grill is easy to use, and we ate dinner most nights outside. If there is a storm, remember to close the umbrella and secure dock chairs. We had a lovely two-week vacation!!

The property was exceptionally clean and well stocked. Beautifully decorated and well maintained. The family had a great time playing air hockey:). My only complaint is that the fish weren't biting.

The home and location are lovely and well-maintained. It was perfect for our four generation family of nine, aged 18 months to 79 years, to celebrate our granddaughter's graduation from Clemson. The house has a great layout for lots of family or older kids bringing friends. The owners have made the most out of the indoor and outdoor space so we had plenty to do during our stay. The kitchen was well equipped and all of the furniture was comfortable and clean. My only complaint would be that there are very few window coverings. If you are in the Master BR, you have to change in the bathroom so the neighbors can't see you while walking down their long walkway to the dock. If you are in the kitchen, living room or main living area in the basement, the neighbor on the other side can see right into the house. I didn't like having kids in the basement knowing they could be seen by any passers by. And, my Husband likes a very dark room to sleep in...you won't get that in the Master BR. Other than that, I have no complaints or suggestions. We would definitely stay here again

We had a great time, the owners are great and readily available. The house was comfortable and in a great location; there was access to shopping, restaurants and site seeing. We did have some issues which may not be significant to some, but it was for us; there is no garbage service, you are responsible for packing the garbage and driving it 2 miles to the convenience center (which is open at specific times) so it can be discarded, the master bedroom has no curtains, and the bathroom and shower are small and somewhat uncomfortable. Other than that, it was great.

We had a really nice stay at this property. It was a rainy weekend and we lost internet connection for about 24 hours, which was a bummer since our kids couldn’t watch anything and we missed football! But the property owner was very nice and helped get someone out to the property to fix it on Sunday.
The last set of steps down to the dock were EXTREMELY slippery, and my husband and I both fell pretty hard on them. We put beach towels down to help, and luckily no one else fell, but would definitely recommend lining those steps to help prevent falls.
Overall, really nice house and dock area. Our kids LOVED the paddle boat!

The house was great, plenty of room for the whole family plus 2 dogs. The pictures are exactly what the house looks like. The driveway is long and downhill so for those that may bring a boat and trailer you will need to back down the driveway. The boat ramp was very close. We enjoyed the house and lake and loved going to the nearby island with the dogs! We would definitely come back!

Our stay at the end of October was relaxing and peaceful. Plenty of great restaurants nearby, convenient shopping for breakfast and lunch foods. This home is well laid out for privacy with nice shared areas. The only negative was that the carpets in the master bedroom and downstairs are due for a cleaning. There is a definite gym locker odor that could be easily remedied with Febreze carpet cleaner. Otherwise, the place was spotless.

Games were available, poker table, air hockey. Several choices on the upper and lower tvs. Enjoyable time there! Recommend!

We had a great stay! House was clean & comfortable with great wifi. We enjoyed the kayak, paddle board, and paddle boat at the dock and spent most of our time in the water. It rained on our last day so it was nice to just hang out, play games, and watch movies on Netflix. Highly recommend!

Great location on the lake!
The house was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of games and activities to keep the kids occupied inside while the occasional rainstorms passed by. There’s plenty of room to spread out but also good seating areas for conversation. Our favorite part was the location on the lake. The cove is very calm but not stagnant so it wasn’t dirty and gross. Very relaxing and we’ll definitely rent this location again…

The house is great- lots of space for everyone! We enjoyed the peddle boat and paddle board. Floated on rafts and swam!! One day we rented a pontoon from Harbour Light Marina and had a great day boating on lake! Had dinner at Boat House Grill one night - casual -great food and Sunday night is Karokee night! Also ate at Chicago Steak house in downtown Hartwell. Fun Vacation - def recommend Grateful Hart!!
