What a cute cottage. We really enjoyed our stay. Area is lovely, cottage is lovely. Main bedroom could use a new and firmer mattress.

We loved our girls weekend getaway at this lovely cabin! It was clean and comfy with all the needed amenities. The location was just what we were looking for - secluded, quiet, with lots of hiking opportunities nearby.

This cabin is a dream! A quiet, cozy and well appointed space. Details and communication with the host is a snap and notes within the space help with tips to keep things tidy. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin and making it possible to enjoy such a peaceful stay.

My wife and I stayed in this wonderful house for 12 days in October. The house is cute, clean and well maintained. We especially enjoyed the firepit and walking the neighborhood. The owner communication was timely and easy.

We rented the cottage for a month! It feels exactly like you want a "camp" cottage to feel. lots of wood, cozy, VERY clean! Modern amenities too, like a very quiet "mini split" heat/ac system. VERY quiet dirt road. Short walk down to the lake. Super private. Unbelievably great water pressure in the shower too LOL! Close drive to some local restaurants and only 15 minutes to a Big Y grocery store. You will love it!

Our stay was perfect. Easy check in, wonderful location and oh the charm! We were looking for a quiet, peaceful place in the woods by a lake and that’s what we got. Our host Djuna left easy instructions and a bottle of wine! The forests were fun to explore, the people in the town are so nice and friendly, all around this is a great place to relax.

Stayed briefly. Was the perfect getaway.

My family and I stayed for three nights to get away before summer ended. The house was very clean and comfortable. My 2.5 year old son absolutely loved going out with me on the canoe. And the town of Lee, a short drive away, has lots of good restaurants. Overall, it was an excellent experience. Thank you!

Quiet cabin in the woods, was a perfect anniversary get away. We enjoyed the beautiful view, kayaking on the lake and just reading on the screened in porch.

It was just what my husband and I needed! The people in the community are very friendly and the area is beautiful. The owner clearly communicated all of the details of the workings and whereabouts of everything we needed for our stay. The cabin had all of the amenities fir a comfortable stay. We will be back and would definitely recommend this cabin to family and friends!

This adorable house surrounded by absolute quiet and peace, lots of woods, a trickling brook running along the property, a fire pit with wood provided. There is also pond access. It was absolutely what we needed to fully relax. The master bed was so comfortable! We loved every minute of it and I didn’t want to leave. I am certain we will be back again!
There is a general store very close by that has excellent food and the owners were so friendly. They showed us around their farm. We highly recommend grabbing a meal there.

Second stay at this property. Just as fine as the first.

We stayed during a short trip trying to see two daughters in college in CT and VT, so this was the home base halfway between. It was quiet and peaceful, off the beaten path but easy to find (especially important when arriving after dark), and exactly as described. We loved that it was not large since we all wanted to be together, but with much more space than a hotel room with the convenience of a full kitchen and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend.

The host was very communicative and the house was perfect for our stay. A quick walk down to a beautiful lake and we both caught some fish! I highly recommend this property. You won't be disappointed.

We spent a great time in this Sherwood Forest property, which was a cosy and warm "base camp" for our family to go skiing to Otis Ridge. The cabin was in keeping with the description : a functionnal and clean accomodation !

Our group of 4 adults had a lovely weekend at this cozy cabin. The hosts did an excellent job stocking the house with many items (puzzles, firewood, and plenty of kitchen supplies) and the check-in was effortless and straightforward. The cabin was easy to find with the address and the instructions. The wifi worked great too. The top bunk of the bed bunk is very close to the ceiling, so it's a tough spot for an adult to sleep in comfortably. Also, we were charged an expensive cleaning fee and then instructed to do much of the cleaning ourselves - which is frustrating. Especially since we arrived and the house wasn't fully cleaned (there was laundry in the machine that we had to take care of). We didn't want to be charged even more, so we followed the cleaning instructions. The cleaning fee should be waived or significantly reduced.

The cabin was cozy, enough space to be comfortable, with all of the modern amenities you need and a great kitchen. The owner was proactive and responsive. It feels like a place where the owners truly spend significant time there and have considered everything folks need to get away while having access to all the essentials and more. My husband and I had a wonderful weekend getaway here and can't wait to return.

This place gives you the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere but close to all the Berkshires highlights. It was the perfect place to get away from the city craziness. And pet friendly!!!!!

We've stayed here several times over the past several years. Always love it. It's now even more comfortable with the heat pump system. The owners are responsive to questions and issues. Looking forward to a possible winter stay if we can make it happen.

My husband and I stayed in Sherwood Forest for 2 nights while we did some hiking nearby. The check in was seamless and information from the owner was very thorough. The space is small but updated, clean and well equipped. I appreciated the little added details of local hand soaps and lotions by the sinks. I enjoyed drinking coffee on the screened in front porch. The small boat beach is a quick walk. The boats looked well maintained although we didn’t end up using them. The area was very quiet. I assume because it was “off season”. Some of the neighboring properties looked abandoned. We did make use of the fire pit one night. It’s a great spot to stargaze because it is so dark. We did have to watch our step in the yard between the driveway and house as apparent recent visitors did not pickup after their dog along the walkway. Overall this met our needs

The cabin was cute and comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed and the cabin is close to some beautiful hiking spots. A couple of suggestions -- the lot next door seems to be a dumping ground for trash which detracts from the setting. And we had some difficulty warming up the first night as wet wood wouldn't light in the wood stove and the heater in the main room was finicky. But overall we had a good weekend.

The cottage in Becket was perfect for our needs. We were impressed with several aspects: 1. The cottage is very clean and cozy 2. The owners provide condiments and other meal "starters" so you don't have to shop for food beyond the main ingredients 3. The information provided before arriving is very clear, without sounding overbearing 4. The area is very quiet 5. You have access to the use of kayaks and a canoe (which we didn't use because we were so busy) 6. The bed is quite comfortable. 7. The kitchen is well equipped with every pot, pan, etc. you could possibly need.
I could go on and on about how much we enjoyed our stay. I communicated a few times with the owner for suggestions and received prompt responses. We were extremely lucky when it came to weather. In cold or rainy weather, be sure you're ready to keep yourself entertained.
We love museums and hiking and found the following places to be great for our interests: 1. The Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge. 2. The Mount (author Edith Wharton's home) in Lenox, 3. The Clark Art Institute in Williamstown (a must if you like art museums) 4. The Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield (a stop on our way to Becket) 5. Mount Greylock
We also took several wonderful hikes, including Kennedy Park in Lenox, the trails around the Rockwell Museum, a portion of the Appalachian Trail in Becket, the Becket Quarry Trails, October Mountain State Forest
In every category, we rate our stay as 5/5, with the exception of the 4/5 for the neighborhood. Many of the cottages and houses are very well kept, while others are very run down. This cottage is very nice, so the neighborhood is not really an issue unless you want to take a walk where everything seems pristine. In bad weather, the dirt road that leads to the cottage could present a problem if you don't have front wheel drive. Although we didn't care much about having good restaurants close by, if you are looking to eat out often, you'll have to be ready to drive some distance.

This cabin is very cute and a short walk to a beautiful lake. We had a lovely labor day weekend stay and would recommend it to anyone staying in Becket. The property owner was very responsive to our few questions. The property is well maintained and provides everything you could need. Our only complaint was that the top bunk of the bunk beds was not easy to utilize (there is no step to help a kid up or down) so the kids shared a bed instead.

Great location, wonderful updated cottage. Lots of extras provided including laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, paper towel, toilet paper, trash bags. Appreciated gas grill and utensils. Loved screened in porch. Comfortable furniture too. Easy communication with owner
