The home is spacious, well equipped with everything you need and magnificently decorated. The beds were super comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub, especially the skiers at the end of the day. The family skied at Cattaloochie Mountain, a great family location. Restaurants and markets are convenient.
The only warning is that the road upto the house is windy and steep. It was doable except for the snow day. We slid. Four wheel drive didn't help. Luckily we were fine. You should have snow tires or chains.

We enjoyed our quick weekend getaway. The house was easy to find, kitchen well stocked and plenty to keep our kids entertained. Easy check-in and check-out process. Look forward to visiting again!

We had a great family getaway at the Browns Cabin! The house has everything we needed for a relaxing week! Our grandson enjoyed the game room and especially the ping pong table. We will miss our morning coffee on the deck while listening to the creek!!

This is a nice home with reasonable space for 4-6 people. They require you to bring all of your own paper products, including TP. You find this out after you book and if your trip is under 60 days, you're out at least half the cost, under 30 (as ours was) is non-refundable. Take your trash with you as well. The hot tub was left at 82 degrees and took a few hours to heat up. The "game room" is an unheated basement and unheated garage.
Pleasant overall stay, but a lot of rules and unusual choices to save a few dollars. Much more responsibility on the tenant than I'm accustomed to in a VRBO.

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay here in early June. The layout of the house was perfect for our family. The kids (teens-20s) especially enjoyed the ping pong table and the hot tub. My husband and I loved having breakfast every morning on the front porch off the main level. During our stay we also enjoyed several hikes, whitewater rafting and dinners out to several local restaurants.

Beautiful home, spacious, great location, beautiful creek, nice amenities although the grill was charcoal and not prepared to not have a gas grill available. Hot tub only had one jet working but was clean and hot. Corded blinds might be a hazard for small children and some throw rugs in bedroom didn’t have backing which slid when stepped on. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and equipment. Beautiful peaceful porches, very relaxing and had a really enjoyable stay. Thank you Mr & Mrs Brown for sharing your home.

This was a great property. Very homey. Skiing at Cataloochie on MLK weekend was crowded but we still had fun. Coming back to the house when if was 15 degrees and hopping in the hot tub after skiing was great! Great places to eat in Waynesville. Wish we could have stayed longer because it was snowing this morning! The house was comfortable, cozy, and clean but don’t forget to bring your own TP! 🤣

We so enjoyed our stay here with the porch view of the mountains, sound of the creek, and the wildlife. The gameroom was a hit for my teens I had to make them come out and join the family. My 10 year old niece loved the evenings in the hot tub. I enjoyed the swing on the porch while she played in hot tub. At nights it got pretty wild with the board games. It was so nice We were not ready to home. We will return in the future.

The house had plenty of room, beautiful surroundings. Beautiful porches with awesome swings outside . Owners are pleasant and easy to contact. It was not as close to the ski resort as we thought, although it says about a mile you must go down the mountain and back up. My fault I did not google the drive. I just saw the distance. The house need a good deep cleaning with the exception of the basement. Layers of dust on the knick nacks, unswept floors and dust in the corners of the all crevasses . The linens were tired and the decor a bit dated but could depend on the eye of the beholder. The carpets had wrinkles and closet door off it’s hinges. Coffee pot had not been cleaned in quite a while and so neared through our stay without coffee ( kind of essential for vacation rental) . The hot tub was nice, clean and a nice retreat in the winter. A con was having to remove your trash and drive it about a mile down the road. Which is closed on Sundays and holidays. At the end of our stay we were charged for a broken chair we did not damage. Likely a previous tenant, and in my opinion could have been normal wear and tear, anyways. The owners were reasonable and removed the charge once we discussed it. So I appreciated them doing the right thing. Overall could be 5 stars with a deep clean and a few fixes. Minor but effects your overall experience.

Very cute house.
Stayed for Christmas holiday. Great secluded location yet not far from shopping and restaurants. Plenty of family games. My family especially loved the ping pong table. My only complaint would be that they consider new cleaning people. Little things like greasy utensils and vacuuming under furniture, (moved a recliner to get to an outlet and there was popcorn and garbage underneath). The hot tub looked clean except for the sand on the seats. Nothing that ruined our time spent there. Totally worth the money. And the creek across the street is an added benefit.

Everything we needed for great vacation
Overall very happy with stay, property and location. We came up to see fall leaves and get away from the heat of south florida and were not disappointed. Fire place was great, hot tub was perfect after long day of leaf peeping and hiking/viewing the waterfalls in the surrounding area. Bed was very comfortable and house had everything we needed.

Great time in Waynesville
The home was very comfortable and accommodated our group of nine people very well. Listening to the stream was so soothing and we loved all the birds. The jacuzzi was a treat for everyone. We found plenty of things to do in the surrounding areas. I would recommend this house to everyone.

great time in the mountains
House was very nice and clean. The porch is awesome. Did not get in the hot tub but it was also very clean. Loved the bird feeders hanging on the upper porch and the
chipmunks were so cute. Steep drive up the mountain , but not to bad.

Wonderful Smoky Mountain Experience
Kathy's house is truly wonderful. And, she is every easy to work with. My family and I were coming in during a winter storm. Fearful of the weather, I came in a day early. She was more than helpful in this process, gave me information relative to the road conditions, even discouraged me from driving up the mountain after a certain time. The house is roomy, and extremely comfortable. My family enjoyed the hot tub, the games that are available in the living room, as well as the activities in the basement area. Everyone had plenty of room. The sounds of nature abound as you step out onto the porch, the nearby towns are really adorable. And, Asheville is an easy drive away. We truly enjoyed our time. Thanks so much to Kathy for hosting us. I work in Cherokee a few times a year, and honestly can't imagine staying anywhere else. I am so glad I stumbled upon this gem!

A perfect, relaxed getaway
It was the perfect getaway for a girls' weekend. 6 of us gathered from 3 different states. We found the cabin to be clean and inviting, and the creek---oh, the rushing creek was a wonderful background to girl chatter, new friends, and precious quiet moments. We got to Waynesville and Asheville easily, but thoroughly enjoyed being out of the busyness while at the cabin. We each would recommend this home to anyone hoping for a relaxing time away.

Cabin
Browns Creeksong Home was selected for a girls weekend getaway, very disappointed, not as nice as shown on website. Linens were old and the few towels were well used. Overpriced for quality, maybe the owners have not visited lately and were not aware of condition of carpet, linens and towels. Would not visit again.

PERFECT VACATION
What a beautiful home and perfect location to spend our family vacation with our grandchildren. The home had everything for our convenient, very accommodating and roomy for our stay. We all enjoyed the porches and hot tub. The weather was perfect for open windows and even a fire in the fireplace. The kids loved exploring the woods and following the creek. We hope to return for another visit.
Thank you Ka for contributing to our family vacation.

What a wonderful week!
What a blessing this home was to our family. We loved sitting on the porch watching the birds, squirrels and chipmunks. The creek across the road was a perfect place for my daughter and grandaughter to explore. The gameroom was great fun in the evenings as well as the hot tub. The fully stocked kitchen was perfect for preparing our meals and the convenience of Waynesville for groceries was great. We found nothing lacking in this wonderful home and thank you for sharing it with us. We look forward to returning again.
