About this cottage rental

This is an adorable, vintage, beach cottage surrounded by flowering gardens. It is clean and comfortable with two small bedrooms. There is a gas fireplace, hardwood floors, ceiling fans, window AC unit, full bathroom and kitchen. You will be charmed by this place, it is as sweet as the photos look. ****Please note this cottage is small and best for two adults or a family with two younger children. It will be tight for four adults for more than a couple of days. There is very limited closet/storage space. ****One queen bed. One bunk bed with a double futon on the bottom and a twin on top. *****Full kitchen for cooking in but there is not a dishwasher or garbage disposal. The cottage has a private deck surrounded by flowering perennial beds and a large, shared yard - great for kids. Located on a quiet side street and only a short walk to Newport's Eastons Beach (a.k.a. First Beach). First Beach has public facilities and a snack bar well known for it's lobster rolls. Along with the beach, restaurants, coffee and ice-cream shops and a new local brew taproom are within walking distance. Downtown Newport is only 1.5 miles away. The location is best for those looking for a quiet vacation, close to but away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Newport. No parties or late night noise. Sheets and towels provided by a linen service. Due to delivery times, guests will likely need to make up their own beds. This is one of four cottages known as Beach Garden Cottages. Have some friends or family stay next door! See other cottages at VRBO.com ID #s 104164 (1 bedroom), # 112204 (2 bedroom) or #113650 (3 bedroom). The cottages share a parking area, a large grassy yard, an outdoor "after-beach" shower and a coin-op washer and dryer. However, your space will feel private due to the creative landscaping.

Cute place and great location-walkable to several restaurants, the beach, the Cliff Walk. Thanks to the owners who have beach towels, chairs and boogie boards to use while on vaca. The only shortfall is the lack of an ac window unit in the bedrooms. It would help with keeping the place cooler and sleeping at night.

What a lovely and peaceful setting. It was quiet, with beautiful foliage, creating privacy from the other cottages, as well as a pretty backdrop. Several rabbits hopped and darted around the grassy yard. We had three adult women there. Instead of sleeping on the top bunk, I slept on the couch, which was very comfortable for my 5’2” frame. The location was ideal- 5 min or less to Newport, the Cliff Walk, and the mansion tours. Blithewold (a favorite of the trip), was also close by- approx. 30 min. away. Owners were quickly responsive to questions. We highly recommend this cottage!

Family of five - we had fun and a pleasant stay great weather great location a mile from Newport - nice clean house and very supportive informative owners to assist. With family of five thought house might be small but no issue at all - one bath a couple times jammed but easily managed. We successfully cooked there a few times on our week long stay. Great vacation for us. Thank you.

We had a nice few days in Newport in this lovely cottage. The location was perfect -- easy walk to two beaches and quiet at night. Wish the weather was more cooperative but we had a good couple of days. Thanks!

There were 3 of us (adult females) staying at this clean cozy cottage for 7 nights. We absolutely loved it! We had just enough space for all of us. The location is ideal for people who want to walk to the beach, restaurants, through the neighborhoods...It is also a short drive to downtown Newport and to the Cliff Walk parking meters. The landscape was thoughtful in providing privacy amongst the other cottages. Trish and Paul were responsive to our needs. We would definitely stay here again!

The cottage is small but lovely. It was perfect for our little vacation with our 3 year old. Walking to the beach was easy with a beach cart for our stuff. It's just a car ride away from.many other great attractions.
