La ubicación y la atención de Santiago.

Pésima relación precio calidad. Los cuartos no tienen siquiera una mesita/escritorio. En un cuarto para 4 solo había una silla y un pequeño placard. Muy mal iluminado. El desayuno que ofrecen es pésimo y si sos celíaco vas a pasar hambre. Sin perjuicio de haber avisado que mi esposa es celiaca no tuvieron un solo reparo en ello, el primero de los 4 desayunos directamente no pudimos tomarlo. Nos trajeron a la mesa unas galletas de arroz en el mismo plato que el pan. Te ofrecen solo unos huevos revueltos, Manteca y dulce. Es la primera vez que me decepciona tanto un lugar

Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, das Wlan ist sehr schlecht, in den meisten Cafés oder Restaurants hatten wir besseres Wlan als im Hotel. Das Frühstück ist auch extrem basic. Ganz einfaches weißes Toastbrot, 1 Stück Butter und Marmelade, immerhin aber Rührei. Dafür war der Zimmerpreis für argentinische Verhältnisse schon sehr hoch.

Não tem segurança, a porta por dentro é uma tranca que qualquer pessoa que force consegue abrir e por fora fechamos com um cadeado de mala com código (o mais simples e frágil); o chuveiro sai pouquíssima água e se usar a descarga e o chuveiro começa infiltrar água pelo rejunte que está solto e fica cheirando esgoto o quarto; não tem cortina na janela da cozinha e uma pessoa com 1,65m se subir no deck que fica para rua consegue ver toda a acomodação e não é possível deixar o quarto escuro (obs: no verão amanhece as 5 e anoitece as 22).

Agradable para descansar. Hay pocas habitaciones. La zona muy tranquila; cercana al centro y sendero Fitz roy. Rico café.

El desayuno podrían mejorarlo con más opciones. Para comer sólo había huevo revuelto, cereales, budin y pan.

Good location

There was a bad wifi connection, no A/C, no Fan, and the window couldn't open. Guests had to open the door to get the wind

Todos los empleados muy amables, solidarios, atentos a las necesidades de los huéspedes, un placer realmente. Todo muy limpio y comodo. Son muy respetuosos y flexibles. El lugar esta en una muy buena ubicación donde rápidamente tenes acceso al centro/negocios/supermercados y también a las caminatas.

A localização é ótima, perto do comércio, restaurantes e do início das trilhas. A staff é muito cordial. O hotel é bem bonitinho e limpo.

A rua do hotel não tem asfalto, então para carregar mala de rodinhas fica mais complicado. As janelas não abrem, mas parece meio padrão na região. O chuveiro tem pouca pressão e sai pouca água. Nao tem corrimão nas escadas do quarto e os degraus são bem estreitos.

Nice large room with a mezzanine, great dining room where you can eat your own food (no cooking though but we made salads and sandwiches) with a beautiful view. Nice location. Some of the staff are friendly. The price is very good for Chalten. We would stay there again.

The room was too hot and it is impossible to open any window!!!! The breakfast was a bit stingy and not that great (the first morning we had 3 toasts for 2!!!) and they seem strangely uptight that some people may make some sandwiches for their lunch etc (which was not our intention and the whole vibe in that respect is bizarre, but then again they might have had some issues in the past)

En la recepción y la chica joven que nos atendió en los desayunos, muy amables. La ubicación es excepcional y muy tranquila. Habitación limpia con camas cómodas. Puedes utilizar la zona de mesas del desayuno para hacerte tus comidas.

Piden fianza en metálico de 50$. Pedimos dos camas y no lo tuvieron en cuenta. Tuvimos que separarlas y nos dieron ropa de cama para que nos las hiciésemos nosotros mismos. Habitación y baño algo pequeños. Desayuno escaso y con poca variedad.

La cercanía

Cobraron al dólar blue. Y saben que no corresponde. El desayuno malo. Muy escaso. Sin televisión y mala o mula WiFi

De receptionist deed zijn best om het ons comfortabel te maken, maar was beperkt door zijn management. Ontbijtruimte biedt mooi uitzicht op omgeving.

Het was koud op de kamer bij de check-inn. Dit werd opgelost door de receptionist door het aan zetten van de gasconvector in onze kamer. Toen we een paar uur later terug op onze kamer kwamen, vroeg de receptionist of hij onze gasconvector even mocht controleren. En inderdaad, de convector was uitgeslagen EN DE KAMER STONK NAAR GAS! Onverantwoord! Ooit valt hier een slachtoffer. We kregen ter compensatie een elektrisch verwarmingstoestel waarvan de elektrische draden aan elkaar geplakt waren. Het slechtste ontbijt dat we gedurende onze ganse reis hebben gekregen. Er staat duidelijk vermeld dat je niets mag meenemen van het ontbijt. Correct. Maar wat zou je meenemen? Er is niks mee te nemen of het zou een stuk brood moeten zijn, wat confituur en een kop koffie. Zeer gehorige kamers die dringend een lik verf nodig hebben. WiFi zogoed als nihil. En als top of the bill durft men 50 € waarborg vragen. Waarvoor???

Die Lage war gut, aber das trifft auf alle Unterkünfte in El Chalten zu. Die Betten waren obwohl dreckig bequem.

Das Zimmer war kalt, die Heizung ging nicht. Es war alles total kaputt oder verranzt. Das Leintuch war extrem vergilbt und dreckig. Dafür 50€ Kaution zu hinterlegen, obwohl nichts funktioniert frech....die Türklinken waren so lose, dass sie teilweise gar nicht gingen. Die Seifenspender waren schon verrostet und seit 10 Jahren sicher unbenutzt. Das Frühstück war kaltes Rührei und sonst 3 Scheiben Toast mit Marmelade. Unter gutem Frühstück verstehe ich was anderes. Für 300€ für 4 Nächte kann man keinen Luxus erwarten, aber ich kann es wirklich nicht empfehlen.

El personal no nos explico nada al llegar. Solo nos dijo esta es vuestra habitacion y teneis que dejar un deposito de 50 dolares/ euros por una habitacion en la que no habia absolutamente nada q llevarse o estropear. Las toallas estaban sucias. El desayuno es pesimo. Muy caro para lo que es. Ya que encima no te dejan pagar en pesos. Ademas si llegas mas tarde de las 12 no hay recepcion por lo que tienes que llegar antes o no entras

The bed was comfortable and clean, the guy in the reception (he was from Spain) was very polite and friendly, the location was very good. The bathroom was clean as well and the water of the shower was hot enough.

The "hotel" is more a hostel with private bathroom. It´s very very basic. The heat didn´t work, actually the room had gas stove that turned off with the outside wind, so we slept without heat. The breakfast was so poor! It doesn´t have cheese and jam as you see in the booking pictures, and neither fruit like the pics in instagram. Just ugly coffee, toasts and eggs. And it begins at 7.30am, so if you want to leave earlier, you´ll have to do it without breakfast. The bathroom didn´t have hair dryer, so you take a bath and then go outside to the frozen night, with you hair wet (and no heat in the bedroom). You don´t have a comfortable common place to stay, just the small place where you have breakfast (everything is smaller than you see in the pictures). The bedroom didn´t have blackout curtains, so you wake up because of the sunlight. If you are looking for a very basic place just to sleep, then it could be an option, but maybe you find a much cheaper place for the same kind of accomodations.

Un matin il n y avait plus d œufs pour le petit déjeuner. Celui ci pourrait être plus copieux pour des marcheurs ( fromage, jambon)

Very clean (room done every day), powerful heater in the room for cold nights and very nice receptionist.

No WiFi in our room / not consistent WiFi in the common area. No kettle in room and no mugs available throughout the day to make tea etc in the common area Very strict rules on bringing food or drink in - I wasn't even allowed to drink a mug of herbal tea in our room, which seems a bit extreme Breakfast and coffee are not great- not very diversed (scramble eggs, toast,jam and corn flakes).

Location is very good.

One of the first things you will see when you enter this hotel will be signs posted all over, telling you reservations made on Booking.com will not be refunded. You will soon see understand why. This property employs a company based in the UK to collect the money (plus a few percent for itself) directly from your payment method. It will charge you in USD, not in ARS. You will be paying black market rates, not the official bank rate for Argentina... Any attempt to reverse that will fail because the guy at reception will keep telling you he is just a clerk and the owners are in Buenos Aires. Customer satisfaction, it seems was not a thing for him. Significantly, they have worded their policy very ambiguously. You won't understand you are getting ripped off until you actually are. No one else is doing this on Booking.com and there are plenty of vacancies in El Chalten.

Nice room, nice view for breakfast, nice staff. Large room.

Bad internet (although common in area), hard to find (no sign at the time). Poor sound (could hear people breathing in lobby from room, let alone loud conversation at night).

The person in charge was super nice, with so many tips and help for all the hiking and the city tourism.

The windows couldn't open, and there was little chance to change the air in the room.

Friendly staff, great breakfast, clean room.

Poor wifi, wall plugs were in odd places, door locks were cumbersome.

Leo and Cecilia were brilliant hosts, they looked after us so well and are very kind. The room was large and comfortable with a good shower.

Charging sockets were behind the beds, so awkward to reach.

Staff was friendly, helpful and professional.. Breakfast was very good. a suggestion: put glasses or paper cups in rooms. also, a bath mat

Once we booked the hostel we got an email saying a prepayment of the 1st night would be charged 7 days before arrival. You will pay the hostel in local currency(Argentina pesos) at the exchange rate on day of payment. Then a few days before arrival we had confirmation that they had taken the full payment for 4 nights in NZ dollars which included extra fees of $NZ23.47. It also stated that if you prefer to pay by a different method you could get agreement from the hostel on arrival. When we arrived at the hostel their was notice to say that paying in pesos wasn't an option. This was a issue for several people booking in at this time. So we were paying at full rate and getting no advantage with the blue rate plus paying extra charges because we were being forced to pay in NZ dollars even though we had US dollars on our card which wouldn't ha ve incurred charges. Others had tried to complain with no. joy. This is the only hostel in Argentina that has treated us like this. The staff were helpful but their hands were tied by the owner. I believe this is breach of policy, why send out an email to say you can pay in local currency and then change your method of payment when it is blatantly not going to be honoured. So this hotel costs a lot more because of the method of payment and extra payments.
