Nestled in the tranquility of the Pacific Palms is The Lake Escape at Tarbuck Bay, directly across the road from the shores of gorgeous Smiths Lake with totally uninterrupted views that will take your breath away! Only 10 minutes drive to some of the most beautiful beaches on the coast including Seal Rocks, Blueys, Boomerang, Cellito and Elizabeth beach. This is your perfect destination for a romantic getaway, an anniversary treat to your loved one or the long-awaited trip that you always wanted to get out of the busy life in the big city and spend time with your family, kids and your beloved pet (yes, we are pet-friendly). We provide free of charge two kayaks (1xSingle and 1xDouble) for our guests together with oars and life jackets. Just bring your fishing rods and bait! Ten metres across the road enjoy a walk along the lakefront or walk a further 10 minutes to Brambles reserve, both "off Leash" pet exercise areas, The Lake Escape is ideal for pets and kids. Enjoy boating, swimming, picnics, kayaking, fishing or windsurfing. "The Recky" Pacific Palms Recreation at Elizabeth Beach where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets over Wallis Lake on the lakefront balcony. They also provide a free shuttle bus daily and both clubs offer great food, including local seafood for great value. Blueys Beach shops offers pizza, fish and chips, bottleshop and small supermarket. Closer by is Smiths Lake shops which has a general store, bottle shop, butcher and café and hairdresser. There are 3 general stores all within a few minutes drive offering ice, fuel and bait & tackle. Nearby Boat Ramps: Brambles Reserve 1km Smiths Lake 3kms

As a family with dogs who need to travel with us, it can be hard finding pet friendly properties. This was a beautiful location, well equipped, clean and super pet friendly. Thank you for a lovely weekend. We will definitely be back.

This home is well equipped with everything you may need. What we loved is the lake view and the security of the fences and lockable gates for the kids and the dog. There was nothing else we needed and it was just an all round lovely stay. We hope to return soon! Thanks Jane and Jim!

The Lake Escape had the most amazing views of the Lake. The house was clean and had that holiday feel. We had issues with Netflix but the problem was fixed asap by Jim. We enjoyed the bottle of wine left by Jane and Jim (thanks).
The only negative was the busy road between the house and the lake. Enjoying the view of the lake from the verandah was spoiled by the constant through traffic.

Enjoyed our time here, house has everything you need for a self contained stay. Yard securely fenced for dogs, would have to be a puppy or very small breed to have any issues. Good idea to take a Chromecast as at the time there was no free to air stations on TV so this allowed us to stream normal TV to see news, footy etc. Netflix and NBN connection faultless.

Thank you for hosting us at your beautiful Lake Escape! We enjoyed celebrating Christmas during our stay and found the property to be well appointed, clean and very comfortable, especially with air-conditioning throughout the house. We hope to return for another stay!

Property was lovely but we had travelled with our dog expecting he would be allowed in most places as he had been on coastline to the south of Sydney but unfortunately he was not and this limited our enjoyment of the surrounding beaches and look outs. Such a shame.

My husband and I had a two night stay at The Lake Escape. Everything that we needed was provided. Good location to drive to Smiths Lake cafe and small grocery store. Not too far from Blueys Beach for great pizza! Backyard was secure for our dog. Thank you to the owners for a lovely bottle of wine that was left for us.

The place is spacious, clean, airy and quiet considering it’s along the main road but it never bothered us.
We will definitely come back for longer next time. Thank you Jim and Jane we had a wonderful time.

The lake escape was a well appointed house in a beautiful location with all the mod cons that you need. Plenty of room to spread out and with the lake across the road the kayaks were an excellent addition to our holiday.

Had a lovely warm stay here over a cold weekend in May. The house is beautifully layed out, comfortable, well provisioned and has a great view! The kayaks are a bonus.. a short walk across the road and you are on the lake. Jane and Jim were really helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended, and would definitely like to return soon!

Enjoyed our relaxing stay at this lakeside property. The house is clean with a good layout and comfortable beds and linens. The kitchen is newish and well stocked. The bathrooms are excellent with lots of room. The outside space and fenced yard were fabulous for our little dog. Nice sunny grass area with a view of trees filled with birds, lovely to hear their song. A beautiful view of the lake from the house. Close-ish to lovely beaches and about 25 minutes into Forster. Only negative would be the house is directly on The Lakes Way road so you do hear traffic, but it does settle down overnight and we slept very well.

Beautiful property! Fantastic location! We were so happy with everything about this property. It had everything we needed, spacious kitchen, great bathrooms and Wi-Fi and Netflix were an added bonus. The owners left us a nice bunch of flowers and a bottle of wine which was lovely. Beautiful view of the lake right out the front. Easy access to the lake and even utilised the kayaks and enjoyed our paddle out in the bay. We would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone. It's so relaxing and owners instructions were very easy to follow and directions to all shops and beaches were also very handy.

Lovely cottage in a relaxing spot opposite the lake with everything you need included, even dog bowls and bed for our dogs!Would recommend this place for a quiet restful break to recharge, not too far from a few cafes and bottle shop!
