Emily’s Inn was fantastic. It has everything. Hot tub? Check. Sauna? Check. Steam shower? Check. Pool table, dart board, and bar. Check check check. There are beautiful views of the mountains. It’s nestled away, so there is total privacy and seclusion, but it’s also minutes away from downtown Stowe. We got to do everything from hiking Mt. Mansfield, to visiting the Trapp Family Lodge, taking multiple visits to the Ben & Jerry’s factory, and much much more. Management was very accessible. Anytime we had any questions management would respond almost immediately, so there was no waiting on having our inquiries addressed. We will definitely be booking this property again for future visits. This place was perfect. Thank you for letting our family stay at your wonderful property!

We had a group of four couples that needed to stay near Stowe for a wedding. The property could not have been more perfect. From the comfortable beds and bedrooms, to the easily accessible showers, to the late night sauna sessions.

Overall a great spot to land after skiing at Stowe. Hot tub and sauna were fantastic. The steam room never got hot enough for our use but that may have been a user error.
9 adults fit comfortably in the house. The games room was a great place to hang out as a group & we enjoyed the fireplace in the family room.
Our only complaint was a lack of linens. Sheets and pillowcases were not provided for the futon & the towel supply was low (using separate towels for showering vs. chlorinated hot tub use). I spoke to the owner and this seemed to be a housekeeping issue.
We came here for winter activities, but I would imagine that this place would be great in the summer with the outdoor pool as well!

Property was as advertised. Abit outside Stowe. Plowed as needed. Lots of room to spread out. Loved the hot tub. Quiet peaceful setting. Dining room table good size with enough seating for all. No need to contact owner at all.

My family and I stayed at this property over Christmas. It is a nice house - when the power is on. A major storm came through and the power was out for 34 hours (from Dec. 23 - 10:00 pm Dec. 24). It is bad enough not to have electricity for that long (the sun went down around 4:30 pm and came up around 7:00 am), but even worse, at this house you don't have water when the electricity is out. That means that you can't flush toilets, shower, or cook.
We got in touch with the owner about the electricity and she was responsive and communicated with local authorities about it. She kept in touch with us. We were told at least 5 times that the power would be on 'soon' but it didn't happen.
We went to Stowe on Dec. 23 and found that many businesses had experienced a power outage also and were closed. We had no choice but to use the bathrooms at the house, even though they couldn't be flushed. We spent the night of Dec. 23 by the fire trying to keep warm and woke up on Christmas Eve hopeful that the power would be on 'soon' and we could enjoy our vacation. It didn't happen and we spent most of the day in the house with toilets full of excrement. My husband finally got some snow, melted it on the stovetop (which is gas), and put it in the toilet tanks to allow us to flush the toilets. This process literally took hours to be able to flush all four toilets. We ended up renting one hotel room (there weren't many options on Dec. 24) so my 79-year old father could sleep in a warm room and we could all take a shower and use a toilet that flushed! The owner said she would pay for the hotel room, but we had prepaid for it, and she didn't refund any of the money to our credit card.
Regarding the property itself, it is a nice, spacious house. However, furnishings are pretty outdated, some things do not work well, and the lighting is low in most rooms. For example, the shower head in the master bedroom had a hard spray that could not be adjusted, so I took my showers in the bathroom by the hot tub. The couch in the game room is uncomfortable because you slip off the cushions and the cushions don't stay in place. The game room is nice but there aren't any comfortable seats. Be aware that it is 10+ minute drive to downtown Stowe and a 20+ minute drive to the mountain.
Would I recommend this property? IF the electricity is working, I would rate it a 4. If you stay here, pray that the electricity does not go out!

Emily’s Inn delivered! The home is well cared for and offers several fun amenities hot tub, spa, steam room, fire pit, game room and fabulous Mountain View’s. The location is perfect close to the activities but a little bit secluded. Perfect place for a family vacation anytime of year.

We had a family gathering at Emily's Inn. We enjoyed the place very much - great location, beautiful views and spacious rooms. Hot tub, sauna and steam shower were much appreciated. The house was few miles from town and close to several trails. The game room was amazing which brought joyful moments for the family gathering. We will definitely come back some time.

Emily's Inn is a lovely property that suited us well for a short stay to attend a wedding in Stowe. We enjoyed the deck and views and the quiet setting. Plenty of room for 5 adults and a large dog! It is out in the country, so keep in mind that there are well maintained dirt roads and it is really dark at night.
The hot tub, steam shower and sauna were appreciated!

Communication with Emily was easy. The house was perfect for us- spacious, plenty of comfortable seating and gorgeous views, especially from the sun room. We loved the hot tub and the pool table and there was a ton of outdoor seating to enjoy the fresh air. We definitely will be back!

Ideal Mountain Getaway
Three generations of our family gathered at Emily’s Inn for a restful, fun and engaging long weekend. We made delicious meals and dined at a large table that overlooked the beautiful Vermont mountains. Relaxing by the fireplace we played pool, darts and board games. The delightful sauna & jacuzzi were a hit with the young adults in our group and everyone had plenty of space to gather or discover a quiet space to be alone. Our host was responsive and wonderfully accommodating. You will love Emily’s Inn for your next Vermont family vacation!

Ski getaway
Overall no issues whatsoever. Great location , great house and views. Communication from the onset was easy, Emily's Inn always answered my questions quickly. Complimentary bottle of wine was a nice gesture. Hot tub, sauna and steam shower was amazing after long day of skiing. The house is 5 miles to town which is nice but also far enough from town and the traffic. It is close enough to the mountain if you don't mind the 15-20 minute drive, which we liked seeing all the views at different times of the days. The house is very spacious and the game room is where we spent most of our time. I will say that the pictures in no way does this house any justice. it really is big. Definitely will rent again.

This home is perfect for an active family who wants to get away! The host was incredibly accommodating and very responsive. The space has all the amenities you could want. Great house, way bigger than pictured. It was fun arriving and discovering all the rooms and ways to turn on lights. Went away with some friends for a ski trip at Stowe - 15 minute drive to the mountain (20-25 with traffic on weekends), sauna and hot tub for some R&R after a day on the slopes and plenty of entertainment in the bar room after a nice dinner in the family room. They even plowed the private road that leads up to the house when some snow fell on our last day. Ended up being my engagement weekend - Emily's inn provided a great place to hide the surprises and celebrate after!

This is a great property in a remote location. The property has a lot of perks such as a pool table, whirl pool and sauna and is less than 30 minute from the ski resort.
Only drawback is the lighting is limited at night to read by the fire place.

Home in the Woods
6 friends & myself stayed at Emily's Inn for a long weekend and had a blast! I'll echo what other reviewers wrote that the common areas are bigger than the pics show. Kitchen, living room, dining room, decks, firepit, billiard/bar room, and the room with the telescope are all big spaces. The bedrooms are all decent sized, except the room with 2 twin beds is very tiny! House is clean and everything is in working order. One thing I noticed, it is pretty dimly lit and it was a fun game trying to figure out which switches turn on which lights! The lighting is minimal, so if you need bright spaces, plan accordingly. One other detail to consider, is the hot tub is inside the house and situated directly outside one of the bedroom doors. So the pump is loud for whoever is sleeping in that room. Overall, everyone loved Emily's Inn. The location is great and there is plenty of parking. I am just being picky.

It was a bit outside of the downtown (10 min drive to the center) but the location and space of the house couldn’t have been better. The house is huge and has so many cute appointments and touches, and the land is really tranquil.

Plenty of fantastic hiking in the area, and the hot tub was a joy to come back to!! Downtown Stowe is a very short drive and has lots of great restaurants and wonderful little shops to browse through. The owner was wonderfully accommodating- she definitely wants to ensure that all guests enjoy their stay- and we couldn't have been happier with the trip overall. We are looking forward to returning and definitely recommend Emily's Inn for any groups visiting the area.

Amazing Getaway
Highly reccomend staying at Emily's Inn!! The pictures do not do this place justice, it is much larger than it appears in the picture. Host was super responsive and provided all the details we needed - she even left a beautiful bottle of wine for us to enjoy! The hot tub was awesome, we used it every night during our stay and it is in a great location in the house. Overall, it was a fantastic place to stay, close to Stowe with beautiful mountain views from inside and the huge deck and was also very clean. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home!

Beautiful and Secluded
Overall LOVED IT and WILL BOOK AGAIN! The views were amazing, the property was huge, spent a lot of time in the game room and hot tub. Sauna and steam room were great. Very big back porch, there were some bees so we stayed on the front porch. There was a fire pit which was a nice surprise! Not a lot of outdoor seating, perhaps that is because it's still winter season, we brought our own camping chairs to sit on outside. The house is down a dirt road, we had no issues getting there. Not sure how it would be after a snowstorm/icey roads.

Emily's Inn is the perfect spot to stay when coming to the Stowe area with friends. Pool and bar room were great! So much space to enjoy and relax! On top of this, having an indoor hot tub, sauna, and steam room were absolutely clutch after long ski days! There are 4 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms so definitely space for a group to sleep comfortably! The views outside are great as well! Definitely will want to stay again!

Property was clean, well appointed, and best of all was oozing with character. Way more spacious than the pictures let on. Hot tub, sauna, and wood fireplace were enjoyable after a day of skiing at Stowe. The grill was cleaned and ready for us when we arrived and we were able to cook some great food while we were there. Fabulous Stay!
We typically go to Stowe a couple of times a year and stay in a small condo, but decided to treat ourselves this trip with a stay in this beautiful house with all its fun amenities. The house is private and spacious, and very clean. The kitchen has everything you need. The owner was very communicative prior to our arrival to ensure a smooth entry, and did a couple of extra things that made us feel she was going the extra distance to make our stay enjoyable. One thing to note is that the house is not actually in Stowe (it's not in the place it shows on the map), but in the neighboring town of Morrisville (fine for us, but I could see it being a potential disappointment for people wanting to be off of 108 for better access to skiing). We were just a small family having a special trip, but I think it would be good for large families or multiple groups -- plenty of space for everyone.
