Dreamy Athens Penthouse with Acropolis View
About this condo rental
A unique penthouse in the historical center of Athens , just 200 metres away from Monastiraki square. It has a breathtaking view of Akropolis and view of the Observatory from its balcony. It is close to the metro station, to trains and to all touristic spots. The flat has direct access to the airport and to the port of Piraeus. There are plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, bars ,shops in the area easily reached on foot in just few minutes. Modern renovated studio of 41 sq.m. where it can comfortably accommodate 4 people. The apartment is on the 6th floor and easily reached via a lift. There is a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary kitchenware (pots, pan, utensils). Salt, pepper, sugar, extra virgin cretan olive oil, vinegar, coffee and tea pots are provided. There is hot water 24/7 through an installed solar panel. The household appliances available for use are a coffee maker, a toaster, a boiler, and a stove. To facilitate and ameliorate your stay, a series of amenities like shampoo, body soap etc are available for use. The Bed is King size (dimensions are 160cm x 210 cm) and the sofa-bed is double (dimensions are 135cm x 195cm, available for 3rd & 4th person). The mattress of the bed and the pillows are hypoallergenic. Cleaned ,ironed towels and sheets are provided. Netflix is also available for your entertainment . Moreover, there are converters/ adaptors for the plugs. In the flat, you will find maps of Athens and Greece, restaurants' brochures, leaflets about organised tours, daily excursions around the Argosaronic golf and other kind of interesting activities. The flat is fully equipped with fire extinguishers, (smoke) detector and a first-aid kit. The whole apartment is equipped with soundproof windows for a quiet stay. We spent just 2 nights in Athens. The location was as described. We were a 20 minute walk to the Parthenon and there were many local/ neighborhood restaurants nearby. George picked us up at the airport and took us back as well. He gave us tips on restaurants and on things to see besides the Acropolis. The night view of the Acropolis was stunning. We walked to see the changing of the guard and saw the coliseum where the first modern Olympics were held in the 1800's.

Great views and decent location. In the heart of it all. Markets, restaurants, and shops all close. The apartment is nice but very small. It worked for us though!!

Great apartment in perfect neighborhood. We loved the location, so easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby plus several metro stations.
The building is old but the apartment is very modern and well appointed inside. The balcony has to be the best feature. It was huge and of course had an amazing view of the acropolis. It does have air conditioning but we were there the first week in October and just opening windows was fine.
Vangelis was easy to communicate with. She emailed back immediately if I had questions. We had one small maintenance issue and she sent someone out right away to fix it even though it was after hours.
Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again the next time we visit Athens.

This apartment was just as the listing described. It was very clean and spacious with a fantastic balcony and view. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions. I would definitely recommend this property to others!

Our stay could not have been better. Communication with Vangelis was great, we had numerous of conversations leading up to our stay and he was always quick to respond. He arranged for our airport transfer which was seamless. George, the driver was great, and we a guy continued to use his throughout the trip. The Penthouse is exactly as the listing; perfect location, amazing view, clean and well appointed. There truly is no reason to stay anywhere else.

This property was beautiful! The view of is just like it appears in the photos. The hosts were extremely accommodating in helping us arrange private transportation from the ferry port and to the airport upon departure. It is within walking distance of many delicious restaurants and shopping. I would definitely stay here again!!!

Property was as-advertised: clean and well maintained. Within walking distance to most of the major sights, and close to the metro if you wanted to go further afield. Great views of the Parthenon as well!

We had an amazing time at this place. The apartment interior was modern and clean. There were many nice extras left by the host like wine and coffee that made mornings and evenings even better. The location absolutely could not have been better. Surrounded by shops and only a very quick walk down to Monastiraki Square and stops for all the tourist buses (red bus etc). Absolutely beautiful view of Acropolis. We were in our way to Mykonos and Santorini and still didn’t want to leave. Do yourself a favor and hit up the creme royale for a quick breakfast and coffee. Also recommend Nancy’s sweet home for dessert. You can find many hidden taverns and shops off the main road just steps from the entry way. I have nothing negative to say at all. Host was always responsive and sent George to pick us up, an absolutely amazing guy. We can honestly say we will miss him. The only two warnings I’ll provide for those not used to Athens is be prepared for lots of graffiti on streets outside of apartment and surrounding streets. Not at all dangerous but for some this may seem intimidating. It should not be. It’s a very very safe area. Also the elevator may cause hesitation if you’re scared of small spaces but we actually enjoyed using it as it was so different than what we were used to. If you’re going to Athens do yourself a favor and stay here.

The penthouse is clean, modern, and comfortable, but best of all is its location. You can walk to most of the major sites and museums in Athens or walk to the metro station to ride to anywhere in the city. Being on the sixth floor gives the advantage of a spectacular view, and provides some quiet. You can find dozens of restaurants within a four or five block walk, and the Greek food is as good as it gets. The owner-recommended taxi driver, George S., is a valuable, dependable, and friendly resource.
We recommend the penthouse without reservation, and would gladly return to spend more time there.

There is no way I can properly describe how pleased we are with this experience. Check-in was easy. The host Vangelis connected us with the best taxi driver in the city (George) who took great care of us on our transportation from the port and to the airport. Any questions we had were answered promptly. The neighborhood is absolutely the coolest place we have ever been. Walking distance to literally everything. If you're going to Athens and it's only two of you, this is the one.

A great place! Excellent location, the apartment is immaculate, really wonderfully decorated, and communication with owner was among the best we have experienced. Inside is quiet. View is excellent. It's on the 6th floor, but the elevator works, no problem.
Your first impression of the building itself may be (like ours) "..well, this could be interesting." Then, like us, you'll just discover yes, it is interesting and you'll really enjoy it.

Everything as promised. Vangelis arranged our transportation from the airport and to our cruise ship. The apartment was great! The location with its proximity to sites could not be better.

Wow....i cant say enough about our stay. The location was amazing, loved the views and our hosts were super responsive. Athens exceeded our expectation and we loved it!!!! This property is absolutely perfect. There is plenty of room and the balcony which overlooking the Parthenon is large comfortable and beautiful. Perfect for an evening (or afternoon) drink. The location is ideal. My wife and I are fairly fit 70 year olds and we were able to walk to all the major tourist attractions, all the archeological sites and museums. We also walked to the trams and went to the port area, easy to do. Vangelis was a great host, providing great advice on places to visit and eat.

We loved this place. The location is great, so many good restaurants within walking distance. We walked to the Acropolis and the Agora easily. We took the train from the airport and only had to walk a few blocks to the place.
The view from the terrace is amazing, and the place was very clean and cozy. Communication with the owner was easy and he was quick to respond. I highly recommend this place!

Perfect apartment for a couple seeking to explore the downtown area of Athens. Almost everything is walking distance from the apartment with plenty of little cafes near by foot a quick breakfast and coffee. Walk a little further and find some amazing places for dinner overlooking the Acropolis with minimal tourist pricing.

Perfect location for many activities in Athens. Owner arranged transportation from the airport (George) and we used him for all of our transportation needs throughout our stay in Athens. Walk to restaurants, ancient sites, museums, and shopping. Apartment was as described and very nice. Balcony was fantastic to escape the streets and have amazing views. 100% recommended this property.

Beautifully renovated apartment with a spectacular view in the heart of downtown. Fantastic location with restaurants, shopping and metro within walking distance. Host was very attentive. He arranged for transfer from the airport, had very clear instructions for checkin, and checked to make sure everything was okay when we got there. My wife and I traveled through Athens on our honeymoon and had the best experience at this location - beautiful views from the balcony and an outstanding location for food and entertainment. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by taxi driver to make our check in process extremely smooth, and were provided with multiple recommendations by the hosts of local gems that were phenomenal. They made us more than comfortable from start to finish and were very flexible with our check in/out times. Will be recommending this location to any friends/family traveling through the area on honeymoon or any vacation

This is an outstanding property for a stay in Athens. We stayed for three nights on our visit. The apartment is sparkling clean. The view of the Acropolis from the penthouse windows is amazing. It is very near to the Athens outdoor market and the Ancient Agora. The area is charming with many shops and restaurants. Highly recommend a stay here.

Loved our stay at the penthouse. Super convenient location to Monastraki Square and the Metro. We could see the Acropolis lit up at night from our bed! Modern accommodations and a large balcony to view our surroundings. Also a safe neighborhood.

Just wonderful. I loved this property so much and would definitely choose this same spot the next time I’m in Athens.
My husband and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary, and looking for a central location to stay. We were traveling from the States and it was our first visit to Greece. We didn’t know anything about the Monastiraki neighborhood prior to our visit, but it was the perfect neighborhood for us. We enjoyed our coffee every morning on the terrace overlooking the Acropolis. We visited the two nearby rooftop bars, which we enjoyed tremendously. Plus found a great spot for craft beer a short walk from the apartment.
The check-in was the easiest and best communicated I’ve ever experienced through a VRBO rental. The hosts were wonderful with their restaurant recommendations. We enjoyed every meal! And especially enjoyed the welcome bottle of wine waiting for us when we checked in.
The apartment was wonderful. It had everything we needed for our stay including a comfortable bed! (Not always a guarantee with a VRBO rental!) It was a short walk to all the major historic sites and close to the metro. And a supply of coffee kept us caffeinated when we didn’t feel up for running out to a coffee shop. There were even adapters available if you happen to forget yours.
I could gush about our visit all day. But if you’re looking for a lovely place to stay, you won’t be disappointed if you chose this property.

Rating is 6 stars out of 5. Great location and views. Very well equipped. Grocery store and metro within easy walking distance. Lots of restaurants close by. We were also able to walk to all the tourist attractions. Bed was super comfortable with view of the Parthenon while lying down.
