We were accommodated in Hôtel des Allées, which shares staff and reception with Hôtel Jaures, so comments on the quality of room and the noisiness only apply to that one. In general, very friendly breakfast staff and decent breakfast, the room was spacious, and the bathroom looked nice

Wifi didn't work at all, neither in Hôtel des Allées, nor in Hôtel Jaures. The bed was very uncomfortable, forming a "valley" in the middle of the very worn-out mattress (slats were likely broken as well). There were quite a lot of bugs in the room and, disappointingly, even silverfish in the bathroom (it lacked ventilation). Although the room was somewhat tidy, it wasn't very clean and the furniture was quite old. Room was somewhat noisy with open windows due to the street below.

no elevator, rooms are organized per two roome each side of the floor, under common doors (rooms has extra doors), so it's great when you book 2 rooms, you can be close to each other, but the stuff did not put us next to each other :-(

We were given a duplex room with a veranda and a city view. Unexpected upgrade! :) The room was clean. The location was good, only 5 minutes walk from the port.

A bit dodgy looking building and its corridor. Otherwise it was a good money / value option.
