Clean rooms, good location, great value - but parking is an extra fee

Convenient location at the edge of the city by the ring road. Room wasn't huge but had everything we needed. We didn't use the facilities (pool, restaurant etc.) as it was a quick pit stop. The night manager kindly sorted me out with a free coffee when he came off shift as it took a while for the coffee stand to open in the morning. Will book again.

Parking was £6 for 24 hours, barrier controlled. That wasn't clear when I booked. I understand why - it's to deter non hotel guests from parking there and then riding into town, but it felt like a little sneaky extra. Bus service isn't great - we just took cabs in and out of the city centre.

It was fine

It was very clean. bed was very comfy. staff were pleasant.

Thin walls, could hear everything going on around us including phones vibrating in adjacent rooms Bathroom door didn't quite fit right

Amazing reception staff so accommodating

Very comfortable Reception stuff were absolutely awesome . I called to book an early check-in and greeted by a very friendly young gentleman who accommodated all of my requests without batting an eyelid. So helpful and it makes all the difference when you are a business traveller.. i’m afraid I can’t remember the name of the chap, but he had a short beard and was quite tall. Hats off guys really good performance.

Met up with family so had a nice time, rooms need updating

Clean, comfy and great value.

Clean. Quiet room. Comfy beds. Very handy for the bus into Oxford. Excellent price. Daniela on reception. Very friendly.

One night stay sufficient, no longer

Friendly staff. Reasonable parking price.

Breakfast over charged too expensive no mini bar, carpets have markess black and lamp shades dirty and dishevelled, the room was tired. No lift that I could see for lack of being able to walk.

Great location and reasonable

There was a great selection at breakfast and the staff were lovely.

The rooms were a little bit worn out and could do with an update. The bath was extremely creaky and felt a little unstable when standing in it for a shower so I got in and out super quick.

Breakfast was lovely but waitress said it's a bit of an ordeal when someone asks for poached eggs but couldn't fault food

Couldn't have dinner as fully booked maybe you could squeeze in a few more tables as reception said it's always happening as it's Marco food

We will definitely return

Liked the warmth of the staff and their efforts to please. They were approachable. On site Marco Pierre White restaurant was very nice and we enjoyed the food. Pool water was warm. Reception was welcoming.

It’s ok ,all good ,but 204 room was poor lots things need fixing!

AC unit was showing error and newer warmed room to comfortable temperature it was little cold ,

Nice hotel, well placed but still driving distance from central Oxford

Nice hotel, quite easy to find and good value for money. Stayed there several times. The food in the evening is good with a decent size room..

No complaints, just expect to pay for overnight parking at £6.00

GOOD I WOULD RETURN TO THIS HOTEL

ROOM WAS SPACIOUS PLENTY OF SOCKETS AND USB PORTS BREAKFAST WAS GREAT

FLOOR WAS A BIT DIRTY AT THE EDGES LIGHT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER I WAS COLD I DID NOT REALISE THAT HEATING PUMP WAS OFF.. MATTRESS ON THE HARD SIDE I SHALL ASK FOR TOPPER NEXT TIME

Comfortable room. Spacious. Thanks for upgrading my room for free!

The location wasn't that great if you had no cars. About 30 minutes to get to the city centre, considering the walk to the nearest bus stop and average waiting time. Breakfast was mediocre, but this was expected.

Comfortable stay but the swimming pool was a disappointment.

Rooms were clean and nice, we were 3 in a bedroom. Comfy beds. Breakfast was good.

We select this hotel because of the swimming pool - what a huge disappointment for us as a family. Be aware time slots are short, very limited (baby classes etc) and the pool is tiny. This facility is owned/run by another fitness company and NOT the hotel. No where at the time of booking the hotel online it mentioned parents need to accompany their kids in the pool. Our kids are 10-nearly 14 yrs old and swim well. They could not swim as they did not allow kids in the pool without a parent in the pool (not sitting on the side of the pool with your legs inside). We (parents) did not had our swimmers with us, so our kids could not swim, they were so disappointed. Was this clear on the website, we would have chosen another hotel to stay. The location of this hotel is not great, you do need a car and we had to pay extra for parking as well.

Convenient but a bit pricy in high seasons

Clean beddings and towels. Reasonable breakfast Coffee machines in the room with pots - a nice surprise

1. cups / glasses in the room are not cleaned throughly; 2. There were food stuck in forks at breakfast

Fantastic, helpful, chic spacious and super comfortable!

Super comfortable beds, big room. They added an extra cart and gave me a little upgrade. Easy parking. Will definitely stay again.! bathroom Tiny for such a big room, but I’d rather have the space in the room to lay out luggage when you have a big family!

Nothing to do with the property, but maybe they can call the council for better signage at the top of the road to say Godstow road from all views

Very poor

The place was alright, though a bit distant from the city center. However, the staff was terrible at a level that I have never seen, traveling at over 35 countries. I initially booked the room with a breakfast, but then found out it exceeds the amount that can be reimbursed by my school, which means I might not get reimbursed at all. I contacted the property months in advance and asked to amend it, and was told it was done. When we got to the property late at night, I was told this was not true, and the breakfast is still included. I asked to cancel to which they said they can only do it with Booking.com's approval (but didn't bother to call their 24/7 call center). It was late so I just paid and decided to take care of it later. For context, I was in Oxford for a 3 day conference, and dealing with this breakfast situation was not my idea of how I spend this visit. Anyway, so I spent the early morning talking with Booking.com, which was actually very fast and considerate, they tried to call the hotel reception but no one answered (this pattern is going to repeat itself later). They sent an email but no one replied. I came to the desk and asked them to check the email: They said they can not do it right now, only later. I then came back late in the evening from the conference, again explained the whole situation to the desk. When the lady at the desk realized I want a refund for the breakfasts, her attitude changed, and she ignored me and started serving other customers. I later realized she was the manager, because I tried to talk to the other lady at the desk, but Lady1 told her this is something that can not really be done. I then called Booking.com again and asked them to call the hotel: They were calling the desk and they didn't pick up the phone! So I came to the desk again, asked them to pick up the phone, after which they reluctantly agreed to cancel the breakfasts, but this wasn't the end: When I booked it, the breakfasts cost 18

for each person each day. However, I told this to the desk lady, but Lady1 intervened again, said that breakfasts are only 15 pound (no idea where she got this number from, she just said it without looking at my reservation or anything), and so that's the amount that should be reimbursed. Great, so did they reimburse it? No, because the desk lady I was talking to wanted final confirmation from Lady1, so I had to wait 15 more minutes for this to happen because Lady1 kept ignoring me. Then, she said she was going to cancel only 3 out of the 4 breakfasts because today's breakfasts already happened (but of course, I did not go to the breakfast!). At this point, I just yelled at her, she was so obnoxious. Got my refund for the 4 days (but only 15 out of 18 pounds paid). I will never step at this hotel's doorstep again. And by the way they hosted graduation parties that were noisy, the second floor where we stayed was not accessible with a baby stroller, etc, but these are small issues compared to how horrible the staff they employ is.

There were bugs coming out the carpet I took a photo On booking I had requested connection rooms. On arrival I was told that hotel doesn’t have any On booking I was told plenty of free parking. It was chargeable
