Durchwachsen!!

Das Zimmer war groß. Man konnte waschen und die Wäsche trocknen.

Wir dürfen mit Tattoo das Onsen benutzen. Obwohl die das angeboten haben. Das Service war unfreundlich und Inkompetent. Wir haben in Zimmer, eine benutzten Tampon gefunden, wo durch das Bad nach Blut gerochen hat. Wir haben die Mitarbeiter informiert, und leider gab es fast keine Reaktion und sehr enttäuschen. Hier würde ich leider nicht nochmals übernachten. Wie sind sehr toleranten Menschen, aber das war leider nicht schön.

Amazing

Everything was more than amazing, we booked a Japanese style double room; it was so nice and comfortable, beds are comfy and clean, the room has all the facilities one might need. Staff were wonderful; welcoming and smiling. Location is excellent; just beside Kiyomizudera temple and the renovated museum, there are plenty of supermarkets, souvenir stores, and drug stores. Subway station (Kiyomizu Gojo station) is just a 3 mins walk and Kyoto main station is just 20 mins walk.

This hotel is very traditional Japanese style (except the futon is a very comfortable mattress, on a base, on the floor). We managed to get a room on the 6th floor, which was so special for our honeymoon. The room was complete with Tatami flooring, stunning views of the surrounding mountains, and included breakfast buffet each morning. We witnessed a beautiful red sunset on our first night, and we could see Kyoto tower all light up. It was so magical. I loved this room, I loved the hotel, and the staff were fantastic. We were close to the train station and had multiple bus stations. This hotel is only 20 minutes away from Gion by bus.

Outstanding hospitality (omotenashi) from the staff, good location

The hotel is located close to the Gion district. The staff were very polite and attentive to our needs. I was also surprised to see a wide selection of alcohol in the happy hour. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

The breakfast buffet had a nice spread of traditional Japanese cuisine but had few western options. We think the cleanliness could also be improved a little bit more.

Great stay, clean and tidy with great facilities

We loved the staff, they were very friendly and helped us with the check in and even called the bicycle rental shop near us to see if they had bikes to fit us. In addition it had a great location, and had a great Onsen that wasn't crowded

There wasn't much that we didn't like.

100% I love it!

This place made my trip to Kyoto even more fabulous. 100% comfort, super clean, a lovely bed, large room, great stuff helping me with lots of information like where to eat the best Kobe beef around Kyoto for a good price and not to forget the toilet... :) The public bath is also great, do try it! The breakfast is fantastic, the perfect occasion to taste many Japanese foods. The location is amazing, within walking distance from the main spots and also the metro. I liked it so much that I extended my stay with one night. I can't wait to come back to Japan and I would definitely stay here again.

30 min walking from kioto station 15 min from gion 15 min from kiyomizu dera Location was good, you habe also a close Subway statuon ( doesnt enter with jr pass)

Nice place with good facilities like a bar and bath. Staff was polite and helpful.

A bit of a walk to the closest station. Usually had to take several lines to get to where we wanted. Beware of the hotel tax in Kyoto as well.

I had a really great experience spending the night here. It was close to familymart, 7-eleven and Lawson which makes the stay really great. Good quality beds and facility. The only struggle was understanding the washing machine instructions

A really nice and enjoyable stay in one of Kyoto's finest locations.

The breakfast is excellent and the location is ideal for walking to attractions, entertainment, and places to eat.

Great hotel and staff, convenient location.

Throughly enjoyed this hotel. My sister and I liked this hotel the most out of the 4 we stayed at in Japan. Service from every single employee was impeccable- they were incredibly accommodating and even helped us set a reservation at a hotel ahead of our stay. The breakfast buffet offered was also great. The location is also relatively close to many shrines, temples, and shopping areas. 100% recommend.

Next time Japan I'll certainly visit Kyôto again, at least for a week in this hotel.

Excellent breakfast, choice between Japanse and western style. Had to "reserve" a time. The location was good within walking distance of Kiyomizudera and with nice train connection to Fushimi Inari. Restaurants across the street. I rented a bycicle 15 minutes away. Nice size of hotelroom.

Only minus point was no coffee or tea at the reception. Otherwise the rating would have been 10/10.

Great place for location, service and price value! Awesome breakfast!

All was great and the hot bath was a surprise! Also liked the home wear they are - cozy and Japanese style. Breakfast was awesome!

I can say that you won’t receive such service by this price nowhere in Kyoto, except this place

I have been feeling comfortable during my stay here. There are a lot of different amenities, like toothbrush or hairbrush. The onsen was fantastic, it was my first time ever so it felt special. Breakfast was presented as buffet where you can choose from traditional Japanese meals.

Maybe the location is not great, and the view from the window is just another building’s wall. But for such price those don’t matter.
