Location was fabulous! Small bars directly across the street and all other shops/bars/restaurants/beach also steps away.
Loved having a balcony.
Room spacious. Large closet. Multiple mirrors
Loved the view!
Too cold to swim, so I can't comment on the pool, but glad there is one.
Lack of pillows. Mattress a bit hard.
Washroom is outdated but I knew that when booking
Expensive bottles of water

The location
The management of the hotel clearly do not care about their guests.

The Bar and the pool area were lovely.
The room was grotty and the door didn't close properly, the bathroom smelt of sewage every morning. Apart from one of the staff who was really helpful the rest were miserable & rude. Definately would not stay here again.

Proximity to the beach, restos and entertainment was perfect, only a short walk. Several rooftop terraces.
Noise level at night; room doors are paper thin and you can hear everything and everyone on your floor. I stayed in 503, room directly across FULL BLASTED MUSIC till 1am at which point the girls finally headed out. On following day MAJOR ARGUMENT in another room and hallway well into midnight. On both occasions no staff present to request a acceptable volume. AC not great.

Great, helpful, cheerful and smiley hotel staffs.
Fairly clean room.
Tasty breakfast, smily servers.
Bar with all the drinks you need.
Swimming pool within the reach.
Located just 10 mins by the beach.
Sitting area outside the hotel.
The room we were given didn't have any windows but a balcony from where you can see only the sky, another balcony and attached house.
We booked and paid a month in advance, because it was mentioned as "Pool view/Beach/any outer" but were thrown in such a room.
I could be wrong about their policy however, I would make sure it has a view of at least a road on my trip next time.

The entrance and foyer of the hotel was nice and quaint but that’s about it.
The location is great because of how close it is to the old town, restaurants and beach.
The bedroom was small, old fashioned and not tidy when we arrived. There were nail clippings on the floor and the backing sticker of a sanitary pad/menstraul pad by the side of the bed. The beds were made but we questioned the cleanliness of the sheets.
The bathroom was small. There was no space between the toilet seat and the stand up shower. The sliding doors of the shower did not close/ were broken and the floor of the shower was filthy and did not drain.
Overall it was a bad experience. We felt very uncomfortable in the room and felt unclean after a shower. We voiced our complaint to the women at reception, who kindly offered another room but didn’t end up having another available. We stayed only one night at this hotel and moved to another one the day after despite already paying for five nights at Villa Recife hotel.

The location is great and the staff is really helpful and friendly.
Is a quiet place to stay if the guests know how to behave.
It's clean every day.
The only thing it kept me thinking all this time was the unnecessary quantity of furniture in the bedrooms. You can tell the new features we're added and those are enough for you to have in a bedroom but then there was all the old furniture too which took loads of space and we had to rearrange the beds to be able to acess plugs.

Do not listen to negative reviews if you expecting a 5 star hotel, move away. I am upset this hotel has such reviews. You pay what you get for! Great location and friendly staff. Decent size room with balcony. Next to many attractions. Will miss this place will use again if you ask me.
Air con did not work but I think its been misused as its been on all the time. Open the balcony you be fine. Only two sockets which not next to bed. Bed could be more comfortable but its good for your back! Not complaining.

Vila Recife is in a fantastic location, touching distance of the old town and you are in the square within a couple of minutes.
We got no sleep during our stay. Drunken people kicking doors, banging and shouting between 1 and 6am. I had to call reception to complain after a drunken reveller was kicking his door in as he was locked between 4 and 5am. Reception said they couldnt hear me, so had to tolerate it.
If you are ok with rowdy stags and all male groups smashing bottles round the pool and causing a general nuisance, then you will be fine. If you want to stay here ask for a room facing away from the pool as it tends to be a little quieter. If the hotel banned same sex groups, no stags or large parties, this would be a fantastic hotel and I probably would stay again, but as it is at the moment, I will not be returning.

Comfort , air conditioning and location
Room could be rather noisy at times as it was right next to the pool, however this didn't spoil my stay.

Breakfast was very basic
Very cramped room three single beds in a double room

It was close to attractions
Out of date, it had a pool but no umbrellas. The bed wasn't comfortable. It didn't have a microwave. The furniture was old and stained.

The location was great.
On our first night we checked in late, dropped off our bags and came back very late to find ants in our room. I informed the front desk that we had just arrived to find ants in our room. Her poor response was to ask if we were eating in our room. After some persuasion she did relocate us to a what appeared to be a studio suite with no ants but we could see through the door frame into the hallway.

Great location
Nothing like the pictures, walls and doors are very thin and could here doors slamming throughout the night.

Location was great and the courtyard for drinks was good.
The pool was small so sun beds were limited and there were no parasols meaning there was no respite from the heat (it got up to 39 degrees). No parasols on the 4th and 5th floor sun terrace either which made them pretty much unusable. The bar didn’t open for cold drinks until 230.

Excellent location, pretty nice little pool, friendly staff.
Fair breakfast. 1 min to Old Town and 2 min to the beach. A bit noisy as the music from the street goes into your windows till 1-2 AM.
The room is specious enough but the smell was disgusting.
My room was on Floor 0 looking at the pool, which was pretty good.
The staff do their best to make your stay comfy.
The room was shabby, damp and with bad odour. The linen and bedding were very cheap, as well as the cutlery in the cafe. My room looked more a cheap hostel and was really smelly. No even a cheap picture on the walls.
No hair dryer. No kettle. No glasses. Changing these little things would add a lot to the image of the hotel. And please do something with the smell. It was hard to be inside the room.
