Everything. The classy furniture and linen at bedroom and bathroom; the cool furniture all over the garden to relax; the excelent breakfast with fresh fruits, fresh orange juice, freshly made eggs, pastel de nata and French bakery; the quiet location, but still close to restaurants, city center and bus stop for castle tours; the swimming pool and private inside parking place. Will book it again for sure. Good quality for price.

Good location. Pool and surrounding area was nice.
Our room was overrun with a strong smell of SEWAGE during both nights, coming from the bathroom. This stopped us from being able to sleep.
We mentioned it to the hotel, who clearly knew this was an existing problem. They just sent maintenance staff during the day (who probably just cleaned the bathroom to little effect).
They refused to offer any alternative, and refused to compensate us for what was a terrible experience.
After leaving I developed multiple cold sores, which could well have been from drinking contaminated water.

Cozy and large room, with a very nice bathroom. The breakfast was rich. The area was quiet.
Not very close to the town's historical center (like 20 mins on foot).

Breakfast was great, location was perfect, we could walk everywhere.
There was an intense smell of mold in our room, so bad we had to open all door and windows every time we went in there. You could see the mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. If we had been staying longer than 2 nights I would’ve requested a different room or moved to a different hotel. The pillows were not comfy, they were pretty much flat. Also there was no coffee in the room, and breakfast/coffee was not served until 8:30 so if you have to or want to wake up early to leave or go do things, you’ll miss breakfast.

The breakfast was exceptional! The staff were friendly, the grounds were beautiful and relaxing. I found the location was perfect - close enough to town to walk about 10-15min and far enough for a relaxing retreat! I would highly recommend this villa.

This is a beautiful place. We stayed in two room interconnecting apartment with a direct access to the back garden. Rooms are pretty and comfy. We had a large bathroom. Breakfast was very good. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Maria contacted me regarding the best room option for our family after I booked it and recommended the interconnecting rooms. She booked for us a lovely local restaurant and recommended places to visit nearby. Hotel is at the quiet residential area, further away from touristy center but still very close to get there.

The hotel was very close to the town center yet it was a large property with beautiful gardens, pool and spa area. The room was clean, spacious and comforatable. Maria was kind and so helpful.

Excellent location, close to the train station were you can take the bus to palacio da pena (5min walk). The room, breakfast and overall the personal working there were very king and friendly. I highly recommend this villa for next trips.
