Definitely a place to relax and drop down your daily tensions and rejuvenate yourself again.

The property is located very close to the backwaters. I took into a independent cottage facing the backwaters. Amazing sunrises, lovely view, great hospitality by the staff everything I wanted. The property owner was very much concerned to check on if the kids were comfortable and if we reached back safely from our outing. Excellent food , out of way to always be there to help you with either your plans of nearby locations and definitely value for money. Property was always kept clean.

Non availability of shops near by. Had to either walk 1.5kms to reach the junction or trouble the owner for arranging vehicle.

Amazing value for money, amazing food, beautiful location.

Absolutely beautiful idyllic location, right on the waters. One of the fish meals was the best meal we'd had in a whole two weeks of being in India. Arranged a private boat tour for us, lent us some bikes, room is basic but for the price still amazing.

our stay was made more amazing due to the owners and their daily help. There was a genuineness which a cynical traveller

The property was located within a beautiful and calming garden. it has the most spectacular views of the lake from where you can watch the fishermen and numerous bird life. We spent most of our time out and about or in the garden. The room was fine and everything worked. A little far away from the centre but definitely worth it, especially if you want to stay for a longer period. The owners could not have done any more to make our stay more comfortable. They assist with anything- just ask.

The lakeside location was green and peaceful. You're away from the main urban areas but there's a small village nearby with restaurants, little shops etc. We would have loved to have longer to enjoy the peaceful garden but we had a tight itinerary. Our hosts went above and beyond. They provided really helpful advice on local transport options. They were polite, friendly and chatty. Food was nice too.

A memorable stay cut short, which means that we will need to revisit to complete our experience!

A serene location right on the water that you can enjoy all day. We had our 3 meals at Lovedale itself, sumptuous, generous and freshly made. We enjoyed small boat rides, beach trips and a massage during our stay. Unfortunately for us, we needed to rush back home due to a medical emergency before we could fully complete our stay. The host & hostess were fully supportive - it was 5 AM in the morning, but Anshad, the host, immediately arranged a taxi for us to take us to the airport and was helpful in our time of need. His wife offered hot tea to help energize us as we rushed through our exit process.

Lovedale itself is a great property and you can sit under the pergola and enjoy the view. However, on either side of this property we witnessed constant disposal of trash into the water. There is nothing Lovedale can do about this and Anshad himself expressed sadness about it, but we wish that people that live along this majestic Vembanad Lake and gain their livelihoods from it treat it with the respect it deserves.

Warm and welcoming, with excellent food and service

I had a lovely stay with Anshad and Amina, who showed me incredible warmth and kindness. Anshad was very helpful in arranging activities and making sure that I was well looked after during my stay, and Amina's food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommended.

Home-cooked kerela food, fabulous view of lake & lovely hospitality truly made our stay memorable

We had a lovely homestay at Lovedale resort. It is owned by a wonderful family. The owner is very nice and helpful. We had an emergency during our stay and the owner was very kind in getting all the help we needed. The lady owner Ameena cooks yummy meals and was very attentive to our requests. The place is right at the lake where you can see fisherman boats pass by and even ask for a ride. The place is a bit secluded but the owner is very helpful in getting rickshaw/taxi rides to the boat jetty/beach.

The shower doesn't have hot water and the bath tub was not working.

More than a Homestay. Better name for this property is "Lovedale Lakeside Budget Resort".

Location is Amazing. You can step into the lake/boat from the Property. Good feel sitting there with the endless Lake in front... Enjoyed my stay, felt valued for Money, and Had a good Dinner (Fish curry meals).

Great place to stay. Amazing location by the lake, nice garden and hammock. We got complimentary breakfast and delicious dinner at an affordable cost. Very helpful owners of the homestay. We had wonderful time there, I wish we had stayed longer. Next time I'll only consider Lovedale when I'll come back to beautifull Alleppey. Anshad is a great guy, he found us a Houseboat at a very affordable price. Really appreciated and highly recommended to anyone who is visiting Alleppey.
