This condo was beautiful! Very comfortable and clean. Views were stunning. Nice and quiet, great pool.

We absolutely loved our stay, especially watching the sunset each night from the top balcony. Delia was so helpful in arranging transportation for us and was very responsive. Also loved the proximity to Punta Sur for sunrises.

What a great location and the house manager, Deliah really made our stay amazing. She coordinated transporation to and from the airport and answered any and all questions we had so quickly! If you're ok with a lot of stairs you won't want to miss staying here! It has all you'll need for a comfortable stay and the views from each level were amazing. We rented a golf cart for a few days which allowed us to explore the island. Definitely enjoyed our whole stay!

Just stayed for 3 nights, but it was a great place and location. Very walkable or you could rent a golf cart. We rented a golf car for one day and walked the rest or took taxis to the other side for about 150 pesos. You should note that the coffee machine takes the Nestle pods and you’ll have to get more:) great iced coffee and gelato at Marakame within walking, great wings and live music next door at The Joint and we also strolled over to Denuccio’s for an amazing Italian dinner! If you are looking to watch sports take a taxi to Snappers (old Nash’s) and then get a churro from a street cart after! Fresh juices from Aroma Isla are also a must! Can’t wait to be back! Thank you

Delia was absolutely amazing. This trip was our anniversary as well as my Son’s proposal to his girlfriend. We wanted everything to be perfect and Delia made it happen.
The property is beautiful with stunning views. The location is perfect with snorkeling right behind you.

My family and I really enjoyed our time on Isla Mujeres. We loved how close the place was to Garrafon de Castilla and the snorkeling was incredible. We also enjoyed walking to Punta Sur and rented a golf cart one day as well. We went during the rainy season but still had a wonderful time. We ended up cooking dinner at home a couple of nights since the places in town were rather expensive, but we had a nice time at The Joint one evening. It was a nice end of the island to stay in and felt very safe and secure. The infinity pool was also amazing and our kids really enjoyed swimming in it during the mornings and evenings.

Great condo with amazing views. Excellent support by local manager. Had minor issue with air conditioning but it was resolved within hours. Location is right next door to Castillo which has private beach with great snorkeling and food/drinks served, cost to get in was $10 US p/p.

We had a great stay quite location very clean and safe property beautiful breath-taking views rent a golf cart to get around nice, peaceful place I traveled with my 4 teens as a widowed mother and we had a great time we felt safe and got away from the busyness of downtown but we rented the golfcart for a few days and it worked out perfect.

Rent a golf cart and shop for your essentials at Chedraui. The condo is beautiful and safe! Great mangos and drinks about 5 houses down from a local not a restaurant. Beautiful views and Delia is quick to help! Can’t wait to come back!

We came to Isla to swim with the whale sharks and relax in a quiet, safe place. It was very nice and just as pictured online.
Delia was so awesome, aiding in transportation, arranging golf cart rental and really anything we needed.
We would definitely recommend this place if visiting the island.

We spent a week in Isla and a week in Cancun. I wish we would've skipped our Cancun portion and stayed at the villa longer. It has absolutely everything you need. The place was clean. It was in a safe area. We walked to a market for some supplies, and we were able to walk to a few other places such as the Joint for some food and Garrafon de Castilla (right behind property) to snorkel. The villa comes with absolutely amazing views. I highly recommend this place and would definitely go back in a heart beat. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time staying at Sotavento. This property was exactly as listed, has amazing views, lovely pool and the perfect location. All staff is very friendly & accommodating. We felt extra safe having evening security at the property. Don’t hesitate, book this and enjoy some of the best views on the island.

This was our second year in a row staying at this property, and we think it is the perfect spot! We have also stayed on Playa Norte (north end of the island), but prefer the quieter south end of the island. The condo is well stocked, and is great for cooking a meal, and hanging out on 3 different decks all with amazing views. Walking distance to Punta Sur for sunrises, and The Joint just steps away for live music, food & drinks. We hung out at Garrafon De Castilla beach right below the condo several afternoons for great snorkeling right from the beach. We'll be back next year!

This condo was “as advertised”! Simply stunning location on the very quiet end (South) of the island, yet convenient to The Joint, a nearby coffee truck and quaint little store for soda and beer.
Watching the sunset over Cancun was spectacular and as the lights came on in town, the show lasted into the evening.
Everything went smoothly from check in, replenished water and necessities to check out.
We felt very safe and secure in the building and grounds….and this is the perfect place for us to return with family…

Spacious, clean, modern condominium in a small well kept complex. Great location away from the crowds but within walking distance of several restaurants and taxis are plentiful and cheap to get around when needed. Not for people with an aversion to stairs but otherwise the perfect place to spend time in Isla Mujeres.

Everything about this stay was relaxing, safe and perfect. We loved the low cost accessibility of having Garrafon de Castilla beach park (not the actual more expensive actual Garrafon Reef park next door) right out our back door,. It had great food and drink (for purchase) comfy beach chairs and good reef access for about $8 US per person, per day. The home is high up in the Sotavento complex and has numerous flights of stairs ( no elevator). The homes pool was perfect for lap swim and we had not one but three balconies available to just us, all with ocean view. The rooftop balcony has an amazing view complete with loungers, grill and sink…. Where we made our fresh ceviche. They even offered to do our grocery shopping for us for a small fee, so the unit was already stocked when we arrived. Communication with the host was phenomenal. Good beach style restaurants were within walking distance as well. Punta Sur park (small fee) makes for a perfect morning walk too, highly recommend this entire place!!! Golf cart not needed but recommended…

Communication was excellent and we really appreciated the location, to all restaurants, beach etc. The golf cart rental was a bonus and fun to get around and explore. The complex name is a must when handing address to cab driver. He mentioned they all know this rather than actual address 🙄 so it was a little testy at first. He was a good guy and we ordered his cab for the return trip there and then. All in all a very good experience

We stayed in Delia’s condo for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s in a great area, easy to get to everything. You face the west looking outwards Cancun and the view and sunsets are amazing from the balcony. We had everything we needed there. She also supplied us a pack n play and sand toys for our daughter. The house was clean and felt safe. The shared infinity pool was also a plus! The only thing to be aware of us you have to take 4 flights of stairs, which for me and my husband was okay, but my (60 year old) mom struggled a bit. She arranged our transportation the day of travel and it was seamless.
Overall, We would definitely recommend this place and will stay here again in the future!

Very Nice clean property in quiet, peaceful part of island

Nice property on the quiet side of the island
The property was very nice for our family of four. There are two beds, so our boys slept together, but if you needed more space I believe the couches pulled out.
Pros:
- Close to a good snorkeling beach. The beach club was right behind the condo. It cost 150 peso (or $9 USD) per person and you got a wrist band so you could come and go. It was nice because we could come back to the condo to eat and then go back snorkeling.
- A short taxi ride away from Chedraui where you can get groceries
- Had a washer which was nice so we didn't have to bring as many clothes. Note, there is no dryer, so you have to air dry, which takes about a day.
- Only a 5 minute walk from Punta Sur. We loved walking there to watch the sea turtles in the evening.
- Having a pool onsite was nice. Our boys used it a lot and it was well maintained.
- Having 3 balconies overlooking the Caribbean was beautiful. The top balcony was large and even had a grill.
Cons:
- Only 3 restaurants within walking distance and they were all pretty pricey. We mostly made meals at the condo.
- Far away from most everything else. Plan on paying for a taxi to get anywhere. To get to the north side (where most things are) it cost anywhere from 100 - 150 pesos. Your other option is to rent a golf cart, but those are usually more expensive than just taking a taxi.
Overall we had a very good experience. Delia and Caesar were easy to work with and Delia really helped us out when we needed a taxi early in the morning. We would recommend this if you don't care about being close to the sandy beaches and the tourist areas. If you love snorkeling, then this is a great location.

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!
Our family stayed for a week in this penthouse condo and had a BLAST!!! The owners were very thoughtful about the items people would need while staying. The location was on a quieter side of the island which was splendid! The property as a whole was immaculate, well designed, and had some of the most amazing views! There were a lot of steps, but each step was worth the experience of the stay. Not to mention, right out back was the BEST snorkeling experience I have had of all the places I have done this activity. The variety of fish was simply amazing!!!

What I was hoping for and more
We love Isla and have stayed at Playa Norte in the past. I was wanting something a little more tranquil and relaxing. This stay was absolutely amazing.
Yes, it's a golf cart ride from just about everything, but the drive is beautiful and so easy. The Join is right across the street and there are conveniences nearby. It is definitely quieter and the views from the unit are unbelievable.
The beds are so comfortable, the kitchen was a wonderful size, the showers are luxurious ... all of the amenities were superb.
One day during the stay we caught a storm on the island It was so neat to watch it from the unit. We all curled up on the couch and bed and watched a movie until the storm passed.
I can't say enough about how nice this place is to stay. Communication with Delia was 100%. She was SO quite to answer any questions we had. We'll be happy to stay here again!
Felt very safe here with our 3 and 6-year-old. We actually like the stair walk-up for a little exercise, but that would be the one thing to keep in mind when it comes to the stay and your abilities

After renting one of the golf carts near the ferry, which is highly needed and recommended, we were able still to access all parts of the island and explore playa Norte. One of our favorite parts of the stay were the beautiful views from the apartment terraces, the pool access and the very cozy, charming layout of the villa. I would highly recommend this apartment in isla mujeres and would visit again.

it's starts from the beginning when you book your stay, Delia was very prompt in answering my message and she answered all my questions. Upon arrival, Cesar is there to greet you and welcome you to your place. This penthouse has it all-views for days of the Cancun skyline, the gorgeous blue water and breathtaking sunsets. Location is great, close to everything the south of the island has to offer plus directly across from some great snorkeling. The penthouse is fully equipped with everything you need to be comfortable, including all the kitchen necessities. It's very quiet and relaxing. I would highly recommend you stay here if you want to feel like royalty.

Exceeded expectations!
Sometimes you wonder if a place will live up to the pictures and expectations, this property exceeded! We have been coming to Isla for 7 years, and this property is now our favorite. On the quiet end of the island, but still close to everything you could want. We spent several afternoons at Garrafon de Castilla (right below Sotavento) for beach and snorkeling, walked to the Joint for dinner and live music, spent a day at Amazona Beach Club (1.5 miles). We are already thinking of booking next year!

My adult daughter and I just spent 5 wonderful days on Isla Mujeres at Sotavento. Delia, the property manager was amazing. The condo is beautiful and we could walk to multiple restaurants, beaches, snorkeling, and interesting caves and ruins. We rented a golf cart for the first two days. If we go back, we will probably rent a cart for our entire stay, but we got some good exercise, which helped burn off some margarita and shrimp taco calories!
