Locatia excelenta.

Brilliant location at the Bosphorus abd short but steep walk to old town. Lots to see and do.

The hotel is clean and inviting. Being near to the Blue Mosque allowed me to visit the mosque in the limited time available - and it is worth visiting. I also appreciate that the mosque is so sharing of the beauty of the mosque. It is a memory I will treasure always.
The reception staff were very competent and obliging. They did everything to help a weary traveller.
The restaurant staff served me lunch and dinner with lovely food and a friendly manner.
Perhaps the hotel could have advertised the local tourist attractions so that business visitors can enjoy a holiday experience while working.

The location is great.
The original room we booked was with partial sea view. Actually from the window you can only see the carpark and a wall.
Room was like a tunnel, not comfortable at all.
We changed to full sea view room which was ok but a bit run-down and cost us additional 50 euro per night.
Breakfast also not great, very little selection.
I don't think we will stay there again. There are better hotels in the same area.

It was my third time visiting Istanbul and I was amazed. I stayed in two different hotels the last times that I don’t want to mention but I didn’t enjoy my stay there and can’t really compare them to the Kaylon hotel. It’s gorgeous. This was the first time I liked my stay so much that I didn’t want to leave. The place, hygiene, food and everything about it was great. It’s located directly at the sea and near the Sultan Ahmet mosque I loved that. It’s a heavenly view. The staff there was nice and friendly but especially a young woman named Fidan was always there for me. She would always help whether I had a question or simply just needed help. For example, once I struggled with unlocking the door and she didn’t hesitate to send someone to help me immediately. Fidan made my stay so much easier and comfortable for me. This hotel is a four star hotel but it deserves to be a five star hotel. I thank everyone so much for making my stay at this hotel such a good memory. I’ll be back at Kaylon hotel soon.

The hotel is clean and the bed so comfy. The view at the restaurant is so nice, and they even extended the dinner time for me one day when I arrived late.
The standard room was so small, so was the shower cabin.

I stayed in Kalyon with my friend over the weekend and we can only recommend the hotel. When the overall experience was great, I still would like to give a special shout-out to Semanur Unat and Fidan Havare. The comfort that they graciously provided us with was just outstanding. Going the extra mile for a customer, lovely ever-lasting smiles, thoughtful recommendations. I trust the management of Kalyon recognizes the impeccable service of these ladies.
Only one note that we would like to add as room for improvement: the restaurant. The breakfast can definitely be upgraded with a fresher and better quality assortment.
Other than that: extra happy :)

The staff were ok and kind.
The beds at the hotel was very very uncomfortable , They were very hard beds and cause of this caused me having a sore back. The hotel didn't have any better beds or room so had to stay there for a few days.

location
the staff were not quite clued up with the marathon event taking place in their own city . also struggled to speak English . I have stayed at Kalyon quite a few times , I would think that in the modern era the owners would at least invest in smart TV’s . to this end , some of the male staff in the restaurant are rather abrasive.

The hotel manager was amazing, friendly and welcoming. He rectified all our issues and even upgraded our room after we complained. I was about to leave the hotel however due to his amazing service I decided to stay. We had 5 rooms booked.
The location is great and within walking distances to all Blue Mosque, Aya Sofya, Topkapi, bazaars etc
The hotel is ok if you are on a tight budget however I would recommend spending a few extra quid and looking for nearby hotels.
The property is listed as a 4 star however compared to UK hotels it is more aligned to a 3 star. The property is really outdated and needs extensive refurbishment. The beds were really firm, there was mould in the bathrooms, the carpets were stained.
The check in staff at night don’t really have a clue on what is going on. They seem to overlook any complaints and ask you to speak to the daytime staff to rectify any issues and not take ownership of the problems described above.

Almost nothing even the breakfast wasn't cooked well but they cooked it again for me after some explanation to the chef, the Hotel staff themselves never bother talking to the restaurant for me , they just brought me to the cheff and went away .
1- the place smells.
2- the staff smells.
3- shower space is very tiny.
4- the room is really small but that is mentioned when you book, however they could use the space more wisely.
5- they help you after you wait for a generation or two .
6- the staff is normally rude, it's like a standard here not even a smile to greet you in for the first time , only one guy had the courtesy to behave well.
7- they kept the lobby and aisles air conditioner off all day long even in the middle of the noon sun when I asked them to open it nicely the manager himself said and I quote "we like it this way" 🙂.

Location
Difficulties with conversing with Front Desk staff. Many, many misunderstandings because of this including cleaning of room (which is not done unless you request it). Breakfast staff had a gruff attitude with no please or thank you ever.
Room was tiny as was the “double” bed. Felt like I was a hindrance rather than a paying guest.
