About this condo rental
Beautiful, oceanfront condo. There is now a desk in the living room (pictures not yet updated). Please note our cancellation policy BEFORE you book. Most insurance policies don't cover cancellations due to covid. We are a smaller building, only 24 units, so there aren't as many crowds as some of the high rises in the area. Maintenance is cleaning the elevator daily. There's also a stairwell if you prefer to avoid elevators. We have a professional cleaning service come service the condo between every guest. We also have professionally laundered linens. Welcome to our family-owned, beach condo getaway! HUGE oceanfront balcony providing ocean views from the master bedroom, full-size kitchen and living room! 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Kitchen is well-equipped with brand new stove, dishwasher and microwave in 2021, perfect for meals in. Ideal condo for a fun-filled family vacation, golf trip reunion or relaxing couples retreat. Come start your vacation right at The Shalimar 5C in Cherry Grove, North Myrtle Beach! We are on the 5th floor. There is an elevator, but it is outside and in windy conditions it can go out of service temporarily. Shalimar 5C includes an in-unit washer and dryer, complementary high speed WIFI perfect for work from home, 55-inch flat screen smart Roku TV in living room equipped with DVD player (cable in living room and master). Additional flat screen smart Roku TVs in every bedroom. The building amenities include direct beach access, beachfront pool, parking and elevator with luggage carts to easily unload your car! Condo sleeps 6 people: one king bed, one queen and two twins. There are parking spots for two cars. We do not offer additional passes, the parking lot is small since we are oceanfront. We are not able to offer any additional parking, please do your own research before arriving. No golf carts, motorcycles, boats or RVs allowed on the property. The parking lot is monitored and unauthorized vehicles will be towed. There is a standard 12 cup drip coffee maker that takes round/bucket filters (not coned). There is also a blender and toaster. Start your day off with the beautiful sunrise from your oceanfront balcony. Take a few steps from your condo to miles of pristine beach, perfect for collecting seashells, building sandcastles with the kids, or a relaxing afternoon with your favorite book on the beach. You’re also walking distance to the famous 985-foot Cherry Grove Pier with a two-story observation deck offering fishing fun for the entire family. Head back to Shalimar for drinks on the balcony or take a quick dip in the outdoor pool before enjoying a night on the town. The Shalimar is only minutes away from shopping, dining, championship golf courses, miniature golf for the kids and other North Myrtle Beach attractions. There are fishing opportunities all around, from deep-sea fishing charters to inlet boat fishing trips. Free parking for 2 cars ONLY. No additional parking available, please do your own research before arriving. Linens, bath towels and beach towels are all provided, included in quoted price. We do not have beach chairs at the condo. You can rent them through the city of North Myrtle Beach website if you'd like. Pool: Closes around mid-Oct/early Nov. Reopens mid-April. This property is in a great location with a wonderful view of the ocean. It was stocked with linens and kitchen supplies needed. The elevator did not work one afternoon , but was quickly repaired and in service the next day. not perfect: the driveway seemed like a curb to enter the parking lot; the third bedroom had twin beds which seemed like box springs—most uncomfortable, the sliding doors did not lock and were difficult to slide open and closed. The balcony seating and view were awesome, however.

We were in paradise for the weekend. We took my 90 year Mother to the beach after loosing my Dad in October. They had been married for 71 years. We always went to Cherry Grove for vacation when I was growing up. So going back to Cherry Grove to take my Mother and staying in the same location was just a perfect setting. The place was very homey and the view was perfect. I would definitely stay at the Shalimar again.

Very nice scenic views and dog friendly. Dry roomy and great place for our Thanksgiving get away. Love the large balcony over looking the ocean. Close to lots of things.

Although we had an intial hiccup upon arrival, it was quickly and easily remedied. The Owner representative, was extremely pleasant and very viligant in addressing our issues. She as much as the views and awesome location made our trip a great one. Thank you!!! We will keep this unit saved as a favorite for future trips.

A very great place to make Memories. Location to go to every where….less crowded beach to have room to enjoy…..smaller building = less individuals in the pool….huge porch w amazing view…..supplied so well it surprises you pet friendly so your entire family gets to come ! Thank you !!

We loved the place overall! Great location, picture perfect view off of the balcony... clean, safe, comfortable, quiet, reasonably priced AND pet friendly!!! C'mon... what more could we ask for? The only recommendation we could make is please consider replacing the twin mattresses.

Everything about this stay was easy! Communication from owners and check-in & check out were effortless. The condo is very-well appointed. When they say they have bath towels & beach towels - they mean it! We brought some of our own, but did not need them. Unit was very clean and comfortable. It really is just steps from the ocean, which is super convenient and makes 'beach-life' for the week very effortless. The ocean front balcony was a dream! Nice variety of furniture to relax in the shade and enjoy the ocean & beach view. One note for the master bedroom occupants is that the mattress is extremely soft. (maybe its a topper..we never checked) This is not a complaint, as it's really a matter of personal taste and the bed is 'comfy'. But if you prefer or need a semi-firm or firm mattress for your back, then this may not be the best room for you. Overall, it's a lovely beach-front condo with very nice amenities. Thanks to the owners for a wonderful stay.

The property was as described online. It was very clean and furnished with everything that you need for a vacation at the beach down to the beach towels. The balcony is awesome, and we loved the rocking chairs. In a quiet neighborhood with close amenities. Would definitely stay here again.

Did not like the overall property. Poo was even smaller than we thought. The gates to enter pool area are terrible. The handicap parking space just off from the elevator is unsafe with the step down so close - the same on the pool gate side. The room was nice except for the tube is master bath is horrible - serious drain problem and the sliding glass doors are very hard to open and close. My son and his family were unable to go with us, so it was just me and my husband. We were glad they didn't go because we were very disappointed in the overall place. Don't feel we got the experience we paid for.

We stayed here several years ago and loved it so much we booked again this year. Great pet friendly location. Just steps from the ocean. Nice oceanfront pool. We had breakfast on the balcony every morning. Kitchen is well stocked for basic cooking needs. The bed in the master bedroom was amazing. We slept so well. Our family had a great week. All linens were provided even beach towels. Highly recommend. The pool was never crowded and there were always lounge chairs available,

First time staying in this condo. I like the Shalimar because it is pet friendly and right on the beach. We had a problem with one of the shower heads when we arrived but the owner fixed it immediately and even compensated us with a small but generous refund. Unit is old and some things are need of an updating. It was very well stocked with everything we needed. It was motorcycle week while we were there and they were extremely loud. We came home early because of the noise. But the overall stay at the condo was ok. Just not the noise. Don't ever go to Myrtle Beach during this event if you are looking for peace and quiet.

First time in Cherry Grove area, usually stay a little south.
We booked this rental because it’s right on the beach. Our elderly parents could enjoy the beach view and sea breeze from the balcony. Was nice to be able to eat b’fast and lunch out on balcony while taking in the view. We even saw dolphins one day.
Location was also good, surrounded by houses so less crowded on beach. (Maybe we just picked a good week?).
Condo provided all the essentials. Beds were very comfortable. Not a new complex, few minor tweaks to unit would take it up to 5 stars. But we would definitely stay here again.

We spent a long weekend (4 nights) and really enjoyed the oceanfront condo and the area. There is a great balcony. It’s very pet friendly. From the coffee pot to the linens everything we needed was furnished. We hope to visit again in the future. The hosts were available and responsive for questions.

Beautiful property in a perfect location! We absolutely loved this space. I slept with the sliding glass doors open and the only sound was the waves hitting the beach - I pay for an app that simulates this exact experience. Quiet, clean, lovely. We will definitely do this again.

We enjoyed staying here, the location was good and the condo was great. A couple of small things necessitated contacting the owners, and they responded quickly and addressed the issues. We're already looking forward to staying here next year.

The condo unit and Shalimar complex were both very clean and well cared for. The location was excellent. You can easily walk to many shops and the pier. This are of the beach was not nearly as crowded as other areas. Owner was friendly and very responsive. We definitely recommend this property.

My family and I loved our accommodations and we had a wonderful week at the beach!! Sometimes when you see places on line they aren’t as great when you see it in person but Shalamar 5C was perfect for us!! It was clean, beautiful, and had all the amenities we wanted and needed for the week. Steve was great to work with. He answered questions and responded in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this place and we are already planning to book our next vacation here!

They were not able to go out part of the day on Monday and Wednesday . We are hoping for some reimbursement for the inconvenience this caused . Otherwise the rental was nicely kept , the sliding doors could use some cleaning , the curtains had stains on them in the master bedroom and the master bathroom tub could use some scrubbing .

Great place, great location…GREAT vacation!!
Our week staying at Steve’s condo was amazing! The space was perfect for our family of 5 adults and 2 small dogs. We couldn’t have wished for a place so perfectly positioned right on the beach, convenient to walk right on to. Plus, conveniently within walking (or extremely short driving) distance to a great food store, souvenir shop and delicious ice cream hut! All other shopping was also very convenient to get to. The condo provided a clean, welcoming space with just about everything a family would need for a great relaxing vacation. Our favorite spot was sitting out on the covered balcony enjoying the beach breeze and spectacular view of the ocean. Our host Steve was great about answering all the questions we had through Vrbo messaging and the building’s maintenance person was extremely friendly and helpful with any other questions or help we needed. The building had some issues with the elevator when we checked out, but Maintenance went above and beyond to help all the guests get their heavy luggage down and his perseverance was greatly appreciated! We highly recommend Steve as a host and his beautiful condo to anyone looking to have an amazing beach front vacation. We will definitely be returning!

July 4th Vacay
This is our 7th year coming to Cherry Grove for the week of the 4th and this condo was truly the best place we have stayed. It was clean, cozy and perfect for our family. The owners were extremely hospitable and answered any questions we had in a timely manner. I highly recommend this beachfront condo for your next visit to CG.
