The property is clean and relatively close to a few restaurants, a market and a few beaches

Not as advertised, the pictures makes the facilities and the overall property look massive. It isn’t. The structure is relatively small instead. 2 small pools. Type of hotel that attracts an older crowd and groups. Hotel “bar” is a counter that closes early guests aren’t able to consume drinks anywhere else around the property. Towels for the pool aren’t provided.

Restaurant staff. Raffaele (the maitre), Carmine, Daniele and Davide where always on top of the service although the restaurant was always pretty busy. In my opinion, they would have benefitted from some extra hands. You cannot argue with the fact that they are very hard working and always keeping the smile on their face.

Honestly, for a 4 stars hotel in a very popular tourist destination I was expecting better facilities. First of all, the hotel description says there is a private beach area. Well, that is not true! The nearby San Francesco Beach is public and very small. Most of the beach is private and you need to pay for beds/chairs and umbrella. The hotel collaborates with one of these structures nearby and offers a discounted daily rate which is a pretty significant expense. In the end, we decided to explore all other beaches in Ischia but the situation is more or less the same in terms of public space and private beaches. The room size was ok. With the hot weather, it would have been nice to find some welcome water bottles in the fridge. There were problems with the hot water for 2 nights in a row so we had to shower with cold water. The maintenance staff explained they took some actions to raise the water temperature but we were more of the impression there was a capacity issue with the hot water supply... The other downside is the absence of rules in the common areas. What I mean by that is, the staff is not really doing anything to make customers understand what sort of behaviours should be avoided for the sake of mutual respect (e.g. people shouting in the corridor late at night, people watching videos with loud speakers while having a meal...this sort of stuff was happening continuously).

Breakfast was good made to order and you could be outside to eat. Dinner sucked cafeteria pre cooked food and you had to eat inside ,it was full and did not follow COVID recommendations

The air conditioning broke at 12 pm 27 Celsius in the room had to fight with the night manager to get another room, told us we needed to wait for the technician.
