Location was amazing, so close to the Pisa tower and right around the corner from restaurants and shops. The room itself was big and beds were comfortable, spare pillow and blankets also provided. Bathroom was massive and clean, shower had good water pressure. Overall very pleasant experience, I would come back if I came to Pisa again and I would recommend to a friend.
Hotel was quite loud at night, lots of banging and door slamming. The shampoo/body wash provided wasn't amazing, better to bring your own. On website it said that the city tax will be 9€ for all of us but when we checked out we have been asked for 18€ and that could only be paid with cash. There was no kind of microwave, fridge or any kind of cutlery or crockery, not even a glass in the room and only thing that was available was a snack machine downstairs. Luckily the Carrefour nearby had paper cups and cutlery for if we wanted to have dinner or breakfast in the room. However there are plenty places to eat around the hotel.

the location was very good. a two minute walk to the leaning tower
there is no elevator. I was on the top floor, so if your not fit or elderly I wouldn’t recommend it. the room was dusty. I have a dust allergy and woke up during the night struggling to breath with the dust in my room

The hotel is located in the heart of the old town. Walking distance from the main attraction of the city, the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
For the first time, a late check-in fee was charged when checking out of the hotel. It was disappointing that no one said anything about this fee when we checked into the hotel.

Location great!!!! A few steps to the Pisa Tower complex. Great choices to eat and buy other needs. The receptionist very kind, helpful and happy to answer any question. Good advise from her to reserve the taxi to the airport the day before. Very puntual too!
Bathroom excellent!
Don't have elevator. It is important for persons with limited mobility. Going upstairs 3 levels with luggages could be challenging. It will be the only thing to take under consideration.

Pensione Helvetia was just what I was looking for and needed. Simple inexpensive accommodation very close, (two minutes walk), to the historic buildings. I arrived late in the evening and was met with a smile from Michele, good advice and assistance, and I could not be happier with my stay there. If I was to revisit Pisa I would certainly stay here again.
There was nothing that I was dissatisfied with.

lovely room, great location
On the 4th floor, no lift, had to carry two heavy
bags up and then down the following day. I was told off for
banging them into the steps.

First night they cancelled our reservationd and they didnt ask it to us, and whrn we arririved to the otel we shocked. The Man in the reception was arrogant and angry. Also they are taking internet money from us, i saw it first time.

The view from my room was amazing!
There is no elevator and I had to carry my luggage to the 4th floor🙊 but it was worth it for the view from the window😊

The place is very well located, just one step away from the city centre. The staff was friendly and available.
Room was mostly uncomfortable, tiny, not very functional and clean and the bed was horrible. There is no lift, so it is a bit difficult to reach the top floor when you got a big baggage! Having said so, it is still good for the money considering the super advantageous location.

The location of the hotel is incredible. Just a 3 minute walk to the leaning Tower.
Would be good if there was a fridge in the room.

The location is awesome! Only 2 minute walk to Pisa Tower which gives you a chance to see it when there are no crowds (at midnight!). The room was clean and staff were nice. Would definitely recommend for a short stay in Pisa.
There is no air conditioning so it was very warm in July. But there is a fan which helps a bit. It is a bit of a problem if you come with a car, but if you are there on a short visit you can pay 7 eur and park right on the street.

We were actually surprised at how perfect the location was: you turn a corner and you're literally on the square with the cathedral and the tower. The room was clean, a little small, but more than sufficient for our needs. We were a bit concerned about the lack of A/C (even though it's listed they don't have one) but the overhead fan did an amazing job keeping us cool in the sweltering heat. The fan wasn't too noisy either so we easily kept it on throughout the night. The woman at the reception was very friendly and nice too. We would definitely stay here if we visit Pisa again :)
We got a room with en-suite bathroom but many of the other rooms shared an external bathroom that was right next to our room so it was quite noisy in the evening. The walls are thin and the place is centrally located, which means a lot of people coming in and out throughout the night, noise from the street, etc.

A comfortable, romantic room of a hotel in an attractive location. The only point which I found a bit strange there was that you must not close the door of your room otherwise you cannot reopen the door yourself. :-)

The hosts make this hotel stand out, they facilitated a pleasant check in well after midnight and were very helpful throughout. The accommodation is in a characterful old building with beautiful small garden.
