We enjoy how close this property is to Bok Tower and the fact that it has a beautiful, quiet location on a lake. The home is clean and well-stocked with towels, cooking supplies, novels to read, and a piano! (My only problem came when it was time to check out and I struggled to see the numbers on the lock box in the dark, but that is probably as much my aging eyes as anything!) Thank you for sharing this lovely home with us. Looking forward to staying here again.

Thank you for the pleasure of staying at the Lake House! We came for business, but the morning views and home-away-from-home vibes made it also a very relaxing experience. It was wonderful to meet and chat with William on his Saturday tending to the crop.

Even though Florida's weather wasn't cooperating (cool with periods of "liquid sunshine") during part of our visit, we stayed warm and dry while enjoying some of the many distractions this home offers, including large collections of books, puzzles and games, solid Internet connections, etc.
Once the sun finally made a showing, early morning mists were followed by stunning views of Lake Starr. And the views remain awsome all day long and into the evening.
We will be back to enjoy more of the beauty and relaxation offered by the wonderful Lake House!

Priceless Lake View
Sandra and Bill are incredible hosts! Check-in instructions were super detailed and helpful. The lake house is as pictured; spacious, charming, very clean and well stocked. The location was perfect; secluded yet close to everything. The deck, bar-b-que and priceless lake view provided one of the best meals and memorable moments. The purpose of our trip was to disconnect and spend quality time with our young kids (5 & 1) in a safe and peaceful setting. We seldom stay in the same place twice but this is an exceptional home and plan to come back.

We really enjoyed our time here and loved how well-stocked the house is. The welcome basket was great and we felt very "at home" while staying. The sunsets are really beautiful over the lake. I loved drinking my coffee and watching the lake every morning. Good luck with the trees!

Wonderful and Welcoming Retreat
Enjoyed our stay at “The Lake House” the only regret is that we hadn’t planned for a little longer visit. It’s a wonderful and welcoming retreat. You’ve made it so comfortable, just like home!
The Welcome Basket was such a lovely surprise…Something for everyone! Our Grandson (7 yrs. old) loved his own space upstairs. He took a video of how he organized his clothes and toys in his “Big Boy Room”.

Such a nice, relaxing, piece of property with good southern charm taste.
We absolutely love staying here and hope to be back again. Sandra and Bill were easy to deal with and very trusting with great class. The gift basket was an unexpected pleasure and the real flowers in the living room area were a nice little touch.

Super Relaxing
Our family of 4 stayed here for just 5 nights on a return trip from the Keys to NC. We choose this area because it was close to Legoland and Bok Gardens. I did not expect to find such a cute and comfortable house. Everyone was in love with the house and the view. Everything was well stocked with a great welcome basket too.
Super quiet and relaxing to come back to after hitting Legoland, which is 15 minutes away. Bok Gardens is maybe 5 minutes away. If you do stay here definitely check out Spook Hill, neat tiny little side trip.
We are 100% going back. I had planned on staying in a different place but this house is just too great.

Taste of "old Florida"

We have enjoyed staying here on the lake. We have been looking for a home this week so have spent a lot of our time away from the place. It is very peaceful looking out at the lake or walking down by the water.
The gift basket was a pleasant surprise and Sandra has been a real pleasure to work with.
The house is very clean and gives you a taste of “old Florida”. The place makes you feel like you are way out in the country, but a short drive will get you to Publix for groceries or a number of different eateries. Would definitely recommend this place.

Perfect Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at the Lake House. The house was perfect for our family of five. The kids loved playing in the house, exploring the garden, watching the squirrels, and gazing at the lake. The house had everything plus more that we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped for everything which made staying here even easier.
We had a great visit to Bok Tower – children’s garden and the café’s ice cream were a highlight for the kids. And a great swimming pool to visit was the Lake Eva Aquatics centre in Haines City.
We will definitely be back to visit and enjoy more relaxing days here.

Second Winter at the Lake House

Thank you for sharing your beautiful Lake House with us for a second winter. My father thrives here out of the cold and snow. He enjoyed so much reading at the picnic table & entertainment of the birds & squirrels. So much to do close by to add interesting outings to the relaxation & sun! the recommended ‘Cherry Pocket’ steak & seafood was a treat. Good food, service, & atmosphere.
This year we took in two Cypress Garden Ski Club shows, Florida Flywheeler shows at Fort Meade & Zolfo Springs, several trips to full blooming Bok Gardens, the sugar plantation tour down near Lake Okeechobee. Fantastic! Many trips to Sunshine Flea market for amazing fresh fruit & veggies. Disney Springs & picnics & walks at Lake Marie in Dundee.
We all had good relaxing days with Dad and hope we can enjoy another winter with him next year when he is 94 years old.
The house and amenities are so much more than expected. Thank you.

Another Amazing Winter
We returned to this beautiful Lake House for 10 weeks this winter, out of the Pennsylvania winter. Again, amazing. House well stocked, furnished with character and stunning lake view. Close to everything you would ever need. Owners are helpful and available if needed, but do not intrude. We are already planning for 2019!! Any one going to central Florida should definitely consider this fantastic property.

Wonderful inviting home in a very quiet area over looking Lake Starr. Beautifully decorated and very very comfortable . Bill and Sandra have gone out of their way to make this a special place to stay and to make guests feel welcome. The house is supplied with everything you need to make it your home away from home. We definitely will be back and recommend it highly to others. Wish we could stay longer!

We were in town for a weekend race. This property worked out very well for us. Size was great, perfect location to anywhere we needed to go, and the owners left great food recommendations. Very welcoming when we arrived and super helpful if we needed anything during our stay.

Such a lovely place on beautiful little lake! Amazing sunrises and sunsets right from your kitchen table! Sandra stocked the place like you wouldn't believe and left the nicest welcome basket and even fresh flowers! Close to shopping and dining of all kinds! Too much!!! Very comfortable bed. Wish it was available for next Feb or Mar but darn, already booked!!!

Relaxing
We enjoyed our week there with one exception. My wife got very sick the first night and we found out what the cause was. We turned the air conditioner on and it gave off a bad odor. I concluded that the duct work was full of mildew and mold. After airing out the house that night and keeping the windows open it was okay. It really needs some attention.

Stunning
From reserving through Nicole at Evolve to the personal welcome by Bill to discover the basket of treats and basics in frig to get us started I was stunned. The fear of internet rentals was immediately gone as this house far surpassed any advertising. Beautifully decorating, clean, various sitting areas inside and out for space for all and the view in this secluded spot are enhanced by the local of stores, restaurants etc. Have already booked for 2018 so no one beats us out!!!!
