Das koppelte Anwesen ist ein Traum so wie ich mir die Toskana vorgestellt habe. Wir werden diese Unterkunft so bald wie möglich wieder besuchen für einen erholsamen Urlaub in der Toskana.

Our family had an exceptional stay at Poggiosole with Alex as our host. The property is beautiful, as is the accommodation. It was the perfect location to use as a base for us to explore Tuscany with all of the popular towns within a 45 minute drive. After a day of exploring we would always come back to Poggiosole and spend the remainder of the day by the amazing pool. We couldn't recommend this property more highly.

This place is superb. With expectations already high prior to arrival, we were simply blown away from the moment we arrived. It was the perfect setting to reconnect with family who have been apart for over 2 years, and to remind us all why we love Italy so much! Alex as a host makes the place what it is - from local recommendations and an endless coffee supply to help with flat car batteries! It was a real pleasure and a privilege to share Poggiosole with him and his family. Thank you.

We knew that the location was superb (just off the road from (just off the road from Florence to Siena). What we did not know was that they completely renovated the place. Band new kitchen, bathrooms, aircon's etc. Alex the host went all the way to make our stay unforgettable. The pictures of the pool on Booking did not do it justice. It's bigger than it looks on the pics and more importantly the water was significantly warmer than the other pools we dove into during our 3 wk Italy trip. The 3 star rating in Booking is a bit odd, I would rate this 4 with a thumbs up. There are 2 units. We stayed in the smaller one (still rather big with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The view is not as nice as the bigger one. We had olive orchard view and some mountains/hills. The other one has the full mountain/hill view. If we return to Tuscany, Poggiosole is the place I would book! Due to all the attention Alex is giving to his guests and the property, the place has a soul.

Can't come up with very concrete things. Since everything was so new, some basics where missing (stupid example: small glasses and a lighter for the BBQ). The host Alex was always one phone call away to make sure things were solved.

If you imagine the perfect holiday appartment in Tuscany, this is what it would look like. We stayed in the larger Le Rose appartment, which was laid out spaciously and was very well appointed with quality furnishings and amenities. The very personable host, Alex, demonstrated attention to detail and went out of his way to ensure our stay was a fully enjoyable experience. The pool was of a good size and a joy to use several times per day, especially on hot days, as were the abundantly available ac-units. Secluded enough to feel you’ve escaped busy yet close enough to the main regional centres (incl. Florence) for convenience.
