I recommend the cottage. The property is a solid two bedroom cottage. Everything that I expected to find in a beach rental was there and easy to find. The furniture is comfortable and serviceable and I was confident in using the appliances, as well as the light and plumbing fixtures. Everything is up to date and in good condition. Prior reviews have mentioned the train station across the street. It is definitely there and you are pretty close to downtown so you will also hear traffic noise and people talking as they walk by, but I appreciated the location. I could walk to restaurants that are close; the pier and a nice beach park are also close. I visited with family during the day and slept well at night and was not bothered by the noise.

We have had the pleasure of staying at the beach house a few times. And the most recent upgrades make the stay even more amazing. New bathrooms and upgraded 2nd bed size was perfect! Love the back yard. We will be back as many times as we can!

We had a fantastic stay in Oceanside. The location was very convenient and the house met our needs perfectly. Comfy beds and a cute backyard area!

The house is in a great location, so close to the beach and downtown Oceanside. Our dog loved having both a fenced in front and backyard. Comfortable beds and nicely renovated. Would definitely stay again!

Our family of 5 had a great time at this home. The property had everything you could want for a vacation rental. Beach gear, games and well stocked kitchen. It was a short walk down to the beach and the property even had a little wagon to help get our stuff down to the water. Will definitely look into staying here in the future.

This property is within walking distance to the beach and many great restaurants. It’s also convenient to I-5 if you’re planning to travel in the region. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. I also appreciated the binder of local information provided by the hosts. This is a great property for two friends or a small family traveling together.

One block from the beach and one block from all the action on Mission. Plenty of room for my wife and I and a couple nights for our adult daughter who lives near by. Comfy beds and plenty of kitchen utensils and a nice BBQ for cooking at home and an easy walk to all the restaurants. A closed in front yard and a closed in back yard both with artificial grass. Our lab loved it! We especially like the quick walk to watch the sunsets!

Loved this cute beach cottage! Walking distance to the beach and everything else you could want or need. The cottage had everything we needed for the beach or just hangin at home, including comfortable furniture and beachy decor! It is located across from the train station but barely any noise. The flies were a bit of an annoyance but they were all over Oceanside so recommend your favorite fly repellant. Loved this short trip and can't wait for our next visit! Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It's obvious that the owners care and want the best experience for their guests. I am a clean freak and wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised overall at how clean everything was. I was also surprised at how well stocked the house was from the kitchen, to the garage, to the games, and extra linens. The walk to the beach was so much shorter than anticipated. It was basically 1 block away and once on the beach we were so close to the children's playground, bathrooms on the beach, and pier. The walkability was great; many good restaurants, stores, movie theater, hotels, and the train station is across the street. We enjoyed barbecuing every evening. The outside area is so cute and you can hear the waves from the backyard. We ate outside one night, but the flies were an annoyance for us so we felt more comfortable eating inside the other nights. (There is a fly trap outside catching many flies, but they were still a bother to us). I was looking forward to enjoying more time in the backyard. The outside shower after the beach was a great feature. We were able to comfortably wash the sand off of everything, including us each day. The beach wagon came in great handy for us every day and the beach chairs were nice and comfortable. The house felt spacious for the size it is. The bed was very comfortable. The house felt homey and welcoming. Parlor Donuts is an 8 min walk and is a must! And we enjoyed Handel's homemade ice cream as well one evening. The only downside for us was we didn't feel comfortable leaving the windows open at night when we went to bed or during the day while we were away, but we also live extra cautiously with all the crime happening around us. Besides California just having more crime these days, the house across the street, its occupants and appearance seemed sketchy. This said, we didn't have any encounters or any particular situation to feel this uncertainty. We weren't sure about the train station being across the street, but it actually wasn't an annoyance at all. The noise was minimal and my toddler really enjoyed seeing the train come and go. One night someone living out of their car was camped out in the train station parking lot, but they kept to themself and eventually left. The location, cleanliness, and homey feeling of this cottage can't be beat. I would recommend this rental to family and friends and we would go back again. Thank you for renting to us!

Can’t say enough about how much we loved this house. We were able to bring our dog and she settled in perfectly. Very clean and well stocked. Hated leaving. Hope to stay again.

This was our second stay at this sweet little house by the beach and it did not disappoint. The house is just as it presents in pictures and is super clean. The hosts are more than accommodating with all requests. The location to town, transportation and the beach are just steps away. Our family of five loves it here and we only wish we could come out more often.

My vision of a beach house vacation was absolutely brought to life with this stay. Jeff and Adrienne were the perfect hosts. We were able to go to and from the beach with ease, and with the assistance of our hosts, we had some of the best meals! We would love to stay here in the future!

We had a lovely stay in Oceanside in a house that has everything you need. Even the holy grail of holiday houses; sharp knives!!! The communication with Adrienne was fantastic, easy and quick. We‘d give more stars if we could.

Comfortable and cozy, in a quiet residential neighborhood a few blocks from the Pier and beach. Its close to the train station but we were not bothered. The locals were friendly and we were able to easily walk to a store and restaurants. Back yard was nice to relax in and the property is well cared for with great showers and amenities.

The property was perfect for us. We only needed 1 bedroom but there are 2 bedrooms in case we had a last-minute friend that wanted to tag along. The cottage had everything you can possibly think of. The front and back yards are completely fenced in which was nice because we took our 2 small dogs to stay with us. The master bedroom bed was super comfortable which is usually not case for me. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom. The cottage was 1 block from the beach, NICE!! My only con was the train station right across the street from the cottage. The train does not blow any horns but there was trains stopping and starting every hour or less throughout the day. If the front door is closed, the noise was not too bad. We stayed at the cottage almost the entire time but most people would probably not be bothered by the train because they are out and about, shopping, dining, beach, etc.....Over all a great place to stay.

This is a rare gem due to the walking distance from the house to mission avenue and the surrounding area, We enjoyed the beach cruisers that are provided also to explore the area. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend stay.
