About this house rental
KALAAL COTTAGE is a three bedroom holiday house plus converted garage/sleep out 2 minutes walk from the beautiful white sands of Callala Beach. The beach is child safe and dog friendly with off leash area at the end of our street. In the house Bedroom 1 has a Queen Bed, Bedroom 2 has a Queen Bed and Bedroom 3 has a Queen Bed. The converted garage/sleep out has two triple bunk plus a Queen bed. This sleeping configuration would be ideal for two families, one in the house and one in the garage or parents inside the house and teenagers in the garage. Doonas and pillows are provided, you will need to supply linen, towels and tea towels. The house is non-smoking. KALAAL COTTAGE is located an easy two hour drive from the Sutherland Shire plus is fully fenced and of course dog friendly. The laundry is equipped with washing machine, ironing board/iron plus a second toilet and shower. We also have an outdoor shower for salt and sand. An undercover outdoor entertainment area with seating for 10 and a 6 burner BBQ to make the most of a relaxing summer night meals. The house can be rented all year round and we have a wood combustion heater for the colder months and fans in all bedrooms for the warmer days. The Local Area The local country club has a nice restaurant and also has an 18 hole golf course and bowling greens where you can play bare foot bowls. There is also a take away shop with fish and chips and burgers Around at Callala Bay you will find an IGA, bakery, butcher, post office, newsagent, bottle shop and a pharmacy. There are some cafes and pizza place that also delivers. There is a Woolworths located only 10 minutes away at Culburra Beach.

We had a wonderful stay. Craig was great with his communication. The property had everything we needed to have a very comfortable stay. Location was perfect. Beds and pillows were comfy. The kitchen had more than enough cutlery, plates and cups for us. A very safe and secure yard for our dogs too.

After trying a few different places in the area, we can confidently say that this charming beach house has won our hearts as our favourite vacation spot. It's cozy haven with all the amenities you need, excellent Wifi provided us with enjoyable evenings, allowing us to Chrome cast to TV and enjoy movies on the sofa.

We just had a 4-day stay in this property with 6 adults and some dogs. The property is very nicely fitted out and presented very well inside and out. The location is just terrific, and the enclosed yard allowed ample space for the dogs and gave us comfort that the dogs were secure.
Walking with the dogs both in the street and especially along the off-leash beach was delightful. We were blessed with great weather, all-in-all a fabulous stay.

We had a lovely stay here and found lots of great amenities to the place: renovated bathroom, easy clean floors, fully functional laundry and second bath, outdoor entertainment space and lots of helpful features for a beach holiday. There’s a few things that could be fixed up and no aircon on some hot humid days was noticeable, but loads of fans and the outdoor space was like a second living room. It’s not a glamorous stay, but very functional and convenient for spending time at the beach with your extended family.

The house offers everything you will need for a great beach holiday. Plenty of room for even 2 families with well equipped kitchen and modern bathroom with tub and seperate toilet.
There are ceiling fans in all the bedrooms which is nice on those warmer summer nights. Mattresses could be a bit softer for my liking.
The house is pet friendly which was the reason we stayed here, and our little Millie loved her first beach holiday in Callala.
Craig has great communication and answered all messages swiftly.
Would definitely stay here again 😀

We loved our stay at this property. Having the undercover outdoor area was fabulous. There was plenty of room for our group of 10. The location is awesome with it being just a short stroll the the beach. The beach is beautiful, kid friendly and one of our favourites. A dryer would have been handy.

Great location. Clean premises . Good facilities in the house. Weather was a bit cooler, so maybe an extra heater in the large house wouldn’t go astray.

The property is simple yet has all you need to have an enjoyable stay.
Inside is pleasant and clean with lots of bedrooms and space for multiple families.
Outside has a decent sized undercover area with big table and BBQ.
Backyard is very secure for dogs.
Backroom is also well set up and would imagine older kids would love to stay out there without parents.
Location is really close to the beach.
Only 1 toilet which can be a downside when staying with multiple families however, wasn't an issue for us.
Overall, would highly recommend staying here.

Kalaal is a lovely place to kick back and relax.
The house is well equipped with everything you need. The bathroom is new and lovely. The backyard was fantastic for our little puppy and we can’t wait to come back next year.

We had a number of issues during our stay which were very stressful. 1. could not securely close the front screen door or the back sliding door.
2. could not close the hot water tap in the kitchen sink, luckily my husband is a handyperson so he changed the laundry sink hot water tap to the kitchen sink tap.
3. we had ongoing issues with the gas cook top as it appear to have a build up of gas and each time we turned it on it would blow up the point that it would blow the burners out of their place. This is extremely dangerous as someone could be seriously burnt.
4. the fire alarm went off and we could not stop it.
I called the owner few times about these issues but felt that he really was not interested as these issues had not occurred to him. I believe that some financial compensation is due given that my 19 year daughter was to scared to cook breakfast in case she got burnt or blew the house up. I would like some feedback please. cheers Nicky

Close to beach and great for pets
This property was spacious and clean, the yard was nice and secure for my reasonably big dog. It’s in a great spot just a block back from the beach and easy to get around to other coastal towns.
