Good position and the check-in procedures. Not crowded during breakfast.Friendly staff. I have appreciated the energy saving technology used for the AC.
There was something wrong with our doorframe, it was very difficult to close. The fridge wasn't working and even though we asked to fix it, it wasn't done (had tonthrow stuff away). The plastic panel covering the AC was broken. The room was kind of tight (even though it was a "superior" room...can't imagine how normal rooms look like).

this property was very traditional style but upclose it was very old and uncared for, the air conditioning didnt work which is unfortunate as it was 35c outside, the staff didnt really try to deal with that issue and when they agreed to a refund it never materialised

friendly staff , wide room
AC was very poor , no enough cover for 3 persons ( was only 2) and there is no reception to ask during night

- great location
- very nice and helpful staff
- good value for money
2 relatively minor issues:
-room was not ready after we arrived at 14 (check-in time) - so we had to wait additional hour or so for it to be cleaned
- A/C in the room is rather a ventilator with limited cooling capability so in hot days it can be a bit hot

I hate to say this - but nothing. I have stayed in a high number of hotels, never complained, never left a bad review. this hotel was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.
everything - it was dirty, there is basically no reception as they’re mostly not there, we complained night 1 about the fact we were given 2 single beds wheeled together (they were literally 2 seperate beds and mattresses, no mattress topper just a sheet on top) and the lady said no this is a double bed. I had to show her the bed so she actually acknowledged what I was saying. she then never followed up, and ignored the issue, said we should contact booking.com if we had an issue and that she would not offer any type of refund- I even asked if she could possibly give a mattress topper and she said no. Air con was bad, the housekeepers didn’t actually refil the soap containers between guests, they allowed us to run out of loo roll even though housekeepers had been into the room. the room itself is so small you don’t have room to walk around. plug sockets sparked as plugs were inserted. I actually used to stay in hostels a lot when I was travelling when I was younger and they were 10x nicer than this. NOT WORTH THE MONEY- Do not go here.

The breakfast was good. They also had a good coffee machine. The breakfast room was always open (no food or drinks outside of the breakfast time) and I spent some time there relaxing. The location is close to a water bus stop and that was very convenient. Lots of good restaurants nearby.
The room itself was very small but it was comfortable.

Breakfast
Location
we at 72 and 69 were put on the 4th floor. there is a lift but for luggage only. the air conditioning on the 4th floor is ineffective in May. We were disappointed and uncomfortable and wanted to leave but they would not cancel and refund our first nights reservation. The receptionist Roberta was very firm on that. She did change our room to a lower floor for the second night and that was much more comfortable. Roberta was helpful with other details like storing luggage. The breakfast was good. The he location is about halfway between the train station and St Marks Square.

Nice breakfast - good choices and quality of food.
We were having trouble finding front desk staff at times.

very nice people, good location, very small but functional rooms
Photographs of rooms not truly representative of what's delivered! Room access via the stairs awkward

Tucked away and difficult to find even with Google maps, this was a hidden gem. After the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas, this was peaceful, and almost totally silent. The breakfast was good and the staff were patient and helpful.
Nothing.

Nothing, we left immediately because the room was so dirty and we had to lug 4 suitcases up 3 flights of stairs with no help.
Everything. We stayed for an hour and the whole time we tried to find a different hotel to stay in which thank god we did. There were little hairs in the sheets, the water coming out of the shower smelled, and there were holes in the bathroom curtains from bugs. The room was also set up so poorly and was so inaccessible with 2 queen beds pushed right up against each other. We also had to lug 4 big bags up the 3 flights of stairs because there is no elevator. I wouldn’t let my worst enemy stay here.

The area was fantastic, we had everything we needed nearby and it was so peaceful. The hosts, particularly when on site, were really helpful and polite. The room was nice and clean and the shower room was great! The bed was nice and comfortable.
The plug sockets in the room were pretty loose so didn't feel that safe to use. There wasn't a host/staff on site in the evenings, when we were there the most, so we could only communicate via WhatsApp (the responses we got were always very helpful though). There was an occasion when the cleaner accidentally forgot to close our room door after cleaning the room, however everything was fine inside. It would be nice if the room maybd included some bottles of water.

Great location and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. That's really all we can say that is positive about the place. It is Venice after all, so expectations need to be tempered.
The Hotel is not clean at all. We booked 3 rooms across our group and all reported bathrooms with broken shower heads, not very clean with hair left behind etc. The bathrooms just get a gentle wipe over and that's it. I don't think the place has ever been dusted. In the rooms, if you use the cups, they won't clean them, just turn the back over - yuck.
The bedding is more like an old B&B. For the price, totally not worth it.
Thankfully, this was my 3rd trip to Venice so I don't need to stay there again, but every place I have stayed in has been interesting.
Unless you have deep pockets and want to stay in a 5 star hotel, I'd recommend staying out of Venice and just catching the train in for the day. It's really easy to do and you'll probably have a better nights sleep.

Bed was very comfortable. Location was excellent away from the busy touristy areas of San Marco. In walking distance of everything including some excellent wine bars. Option of breakfast if wanted for an extra 9euro.
Not necessarily a hotel, more of a BnB. Room quite small but everything you needed. Could do with modernising the bathroom

position, cosy
too expensive for value. Toilet pipes run on top of the bed, making it noisy everytime they flush upstairs

Ca' San Polo has a good location. Only 15-20 minute walk to San Marco square. Also, close to Santa Lucia Station where we arrived. Even in the small streets of Venice, we could easily find it, as it was well marked.
The hosts were very nice and friendly: both when checking in as well as at breakfast. The breakfast itself was very good: eggs are made fresh for each table.
The room and the bed were clean and comfortable.
Price.
(However, it is Venice, so the price will be higher everywhere).

Rooms a bit small with little space to walk

good location, cute decor, good fresh breakfast
difficult to get to at night if you’re not taking a water taxi/public transit (expected of all properties in this area), especially if you have lots of luggage. staff isn’t there 24/7 to help out. staff was in a rush to leave so had to pick up our luggage earlier in the day than we would’ve liked

Nice place in every aspect. Atmospheric, well-located, and organized. Helpful staff and good breakfast. Recommend for a weekend in Venice.
The only thing that I complain - the pillows. Really not comfortable. But I would book this place once again regardless of pilows ;-)

Whilst I was nervous using it for the first time, this property did online check-in with Vikey - so we had the key to the hotel and our room on our phones. The room was super (it was at the top of the stairs, so not recommended for anyone with mobility issues) with a comfy bed and a great shower. Good continental breakfast.
The location was super, really central and close to all the major attractions.
