A surprise visdit to the old town, discovering the hotel with excellent cuisine

Continental breakfast well presented well served in pleasant restaurant area

No dislike but maybe other options for breakfast would have been appreciated

Ok, but better is possible as always.

Not far from my supplier. Clean room, good shower.

No water cooker in the room. Booking room next to public toilet! Restaurant closes at 21h00 but is open later, had dinner already. So bummer for the hotel.

Very nice hotel

We used this hotel for a stopover and it proved to be an excellent decision. The hotel was a couple of minutes walk to the centre. Our room was very quiet, clean and warm (very welcome on a cold early March evening) and comfortable bed. A good bathroom with strong shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. We did not eat at the hotel but the dinning room looked very nice. Good value. I would definitely stay again.

Not criticisms but to be aware. There is no lift but not an issue for us and the staff did offer to take our bags up but, if you are less able then a good idea to check for an accessible room. I didn’t see any air con so maybe it could get hot in full summer.

Comfortable stay with excellent restaurant and friendly attentive service

The room was large with a very nice bathroom with bath and shower . it was immaculately clean and warm . The bed was comfortable . . The restaurant is excellent which is one of the reasons we returned. , a very good choice of freshly prepared classic French dishes in two set price menus or a la carte and to finish with my favorite cheese -Langres _- an excellent wine list with well priced Burgundy . Breakfast has a good choice from a buffet with good fruit juices and coffee , the car can if reserved be housed in their garage . they also take dogs essential for us . all housed in what was a medieval building in the heart of a charming historic town -- Perfect

Conveniently located with a lovely restaurant

The location very close to the town centre was ideal and the restaurant provided a fairly priced and delicious menu in the evening. The room was a family room so it was located in the annexe, which was good value for money; but from reading other reviews had we been able to book a room in the main hotel, that probably would have been much more atmospheric. The staff were mostly friendly and polite and the car was parked safely in their garage and off the street.

There was nothing wrong with our room other than it was a spartanly decorated; a little dark and sad, with utilitarian laminate flooring. A revamp here could make the annex rooms feel more crisp, luxurious and light. It was fine for an overnight stay on a long road journey from Italy, but I would have been disappointed if I had booked this for a holiday or break.

Excellent hotel in Langres.

Lovely hotel, clean, comfortable rooms stylishly decorated. Welcoming staff, excellent restaurant for evening meal and breakfast. Langres is a pretty hill town, a good stopover when driving across France.

Lost count of the number of times we've stayed here over the last 25 years. Never fails us.

Has never failed us, rooms lovely and clean, restaurant still very French, excellent breakfast. Wonderful to see so many staff who have been at Le Cheval Blanc for years.

Maybe a little bar in the hotel? Langres has a few bars where you can have a drink or coffee. Would be lovely to have an area in the hotel where we could relax with a beer or a glass of wine after our long journey. The snug is lovely for pre dinner aperitifs, but no atmosphere otherwise

Excellent, really lovely, a proper hotel with a lovely atmosphere and kind staff.

I would like to have had a cheaper supper option, simply as we were on the move and a big meal is quite heavy when you’ve been sitting in a car all day.

Great stop between the French Alps and Calais.

The location and friendly manager. We will definitely eat there next time as the dinner is highly rated. On the "bad" side, the shower drain was blocked, but the staff leapt to our assistance and moved us to a larger room with a working bathroom.

The Wifi was a bit crap and meant that filling-in the stupid UK passenger locator form was very challenging. Under normal circumstances the Wifi would have been more acceptable.

Recommendable

The breakfast was good and the room had a lot of light. The hotel is central and the restaurant was good. The staff very pleasant and friendly. The room was very spacious. They followed up the COVID regulations!

No lift and we had a heavy suitcase.

Overnight in Langres

One of the best things about the hotel is that it has an excellent location, in the centre of Langres, with their own secure parking. Langres is beautiful and has quite a few shop, cafes and bars. The room was modern, clean, comfortable and spacious. Also dog friendly :) Another big plus is the restaurant, we ate there for dinner and it was wonderful. Breakfast was great too! The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and spoke English well. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

Comfortable, welcoming hotel and excellent dinner in a pretty French town.

Very good hotel with comfortable, modern rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Very good breakfast and excellent dinner. A warm welcome for us and our little dog. Langres is a pretty walled town in a good location for a stopover when driving across France. Merci bien pour nous acueillir!

No problems. We hadn't booked parking, but they were able to fiind us a space in their inside garage. They drive your car in as it's a small space, but this is fine.

Superb

Really good place to stay if you are travelling through Langres. Room comfortable, clean, well decorated, staff friendly and helpful, dinner at the restaurant was extremely good. Overall it was good value for money and will stay there again.

I couldn't fault anything.
