Casa Marina is a beautiful villa, the pool and privacy is a magical place to hang out after a day at the beach.
Rincon & the people are a friendly group, don’t miss the Art Walk on Thursday night , beautiful local art & craft !!! Booked 10 days for next year in another villa owned by the same hosts. You’ll love it !!!

We had a very nice experience. The home is in an excellent location, close to the water, a little coffee shop, and within beach walking distance to the main part of town. The pool was clean and cool and had a nice, updated fridge. The foliage around the house created the secluded vibe even though you were on the corner of a busy street. The deck was great for sunsets and winter sunrise over the southern hills.
Some negatives are that the couches in the living area barely seemed usable. They are likely from the late 1980's and aren't cleaned regularly or at all. They have a smell about them and aren't comfortable - they should be outside furniture, upstairs on the deck. The beds in the spare rooms could use better bed frames - no hanky panky with those loud metal frames. A few non-slip mats would be nice as the wet floors can cause accidents. Also, bring beach towels or you'll be forced to purchase them. Only white bath towels and beach blanket-things are provided.
Overall, this seemed like a decent rental - a little overpriced for the quality of the unit - adequately priced for the location. I recommend new furniture and some basic upgrades, but overall a great experience. The cat is great, too.

Spacious, beautiful and enough room for 4 couples to stay at location.
Communication with owner is spot on, he answered all questions quickly and perfectly.
The ONLY downside for me would be the lack of mats at entry doors, the tile is very slick make sure you dry off completely and sweep floors often.
PERFECT spot for my 50th birthday celebration :) will return soon!!

The home itself is very safe and structally strong. We were worried about a possible storm but this is a very solid house with a generator (thank goodness we didn't have to use it!). The spilt unit ACs worked beautifully and the master bedroom ceiling fans were heaven. The pool was the perfect temperature and very well maintained. We did replace some missing light bulbs so we could play cards in back yard. Much brighter now 😁. I will say there are very loud cars that blast music at all times of the night which hindered some sleep. Steps Beach is SO CLOSE! Best snorkling we found on the West (Splurge on good snorkles since it is totally free to swim here right on shoreline, no boat needed!) The waters along the coast are a stunning turquoise. Recommend grocery shopping at the CoOp vs Econo due to price. Eat at the Shipwreck for a lovely meal. We also had to buy handsoap for 2 bathrooms. Would recommend placing more washclothes per bathroom. The gate locks were very difficult and would get stuck open, it may be time to replace them. Also, the kitchen came with no condiments, spices, foil, etc. So be prepared to buy it all. There are no cookie sheets or baking pans for the oven and no toaster for bagels/bread (conventional oven dried them to a crisp). Overall just small details and nothing kept us from having a great week!

We had a fabulous time just relaxing and hanging out at the pool.
The dishwasher was not working while we were there so the host dropped off disposable cups, plates, and silverware.
We did see the cat, if you don’t feed it it goes away.
The master shower seemed to have pressure issues-however there are two other showers in the house that work just fine.
Would recommend new pillows on all rooms. Overall it was a wonderful stay.

The majority of the house was dirty when we got there. Sand on the floors, dead bugs in sinks and tubs. The dishwasher was broken, so was the fan in the kitchen, the bathtub upstairs and the gate locks. One lock wouldn’t open and the other wouldn’t close. There were no extra items like salt and pepper or anything so we had to buy every little thing. We had a group of 9 and there was only 1 towel for each of us. The washer worked fine, but the dryer took 4 hours to dry anything. Then there was the trash in the yard and the random cats that kept coming around. Two people in my party are allergic to cats so that kept them off the back porch. The lights around the pool were burnt out and the grill isn’t nearly big enough for a group of 9. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible stay, just not anywhere near what we had in mind for the price we paid. It seemed like we were the first renters in a long time because the whole house was stuff and the fridge had just been plugged in earlier that day. Just a rough over all house. The shower in the master needs a new head and the pressure was horrid. Not sure about the other bathrooms. No one seemed to complain. But like I said, overall it wasn’t bad, and it wasn’t great. Mediocre or average at best.

We really enjoyed this house! It is so close to the beach and Vite little restaurants and bars. The snorkeling was phenomenal. We took a fishing boat out and caught 3 tunas and a king mackerel, being able to cook and hang out was a real treat! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Perfect for the 9 of us! Spacious with all the amenities required. Loved the pool, the beautiful ocean beach 2 blocks away & bars/resturants. We walked to the beach everynight to watch the beautiful sunset. We toured the local area as well as chartered a fishing boat in Cabo Rojo & golfed in Aquadillia.
Only complaint was low water pressure & no hot water. We enjoyed it enough that would like to return to this exact location in the future!

We had a great time in this house! Small problem with an air conditioner that the owner handled immediately and kept in contact. Pool is clean and is great to float around in. It’s close to restaurants, beaches, and bars. We do wish there had been some wash clothes and some extra toilet paper so we didn’t have to go buy any, but that was just a small detail. Would definitely stay here again.

It not only offers the perfect location, the owner has made sure anything you might need for the very best vacation is at your fingertips. The property is extremely well maintained and John, the owner, was very communicative and easy to work with. We are already looking to book again next year!

This home was a great place for my trip with 5 teenagers. We were able to walk to the beach, dinner and a great Juice/Acai bowl place in the morning. The pool was terrific and the rooftop view was great. All of the AC units worked well and the beds are comfortable. Nice casual vacation.

Family of six with all young adults spent 4 days on property. House was nice. Beds were very comfortable. I wish the kitchen would have been stocked with the basic condiments such as salt/pepper, oil, sugar. Also no oven mitts to get hot items from microwave and no lighter to start the grill (found this out at a very inopportune time). The beach cooler was broken; the handle was barely hanging on so we could not use it for the beach which was unfortunate. But otherwise loved the house and pool. Each evening we swam in the pool to relax. The beach access is very close. If you continue walking a little bit the water is better and there are restaurants to grab beers for the beach. It is a short drive to a grocery store and to some scenic spots. Overall we loved the house…pool and patio were wonderful.

Spring break family vacation
This was our second stay at this property. We really love everything about it. The backyard is like a private oasis. Perfect vacation with 2 small kids. They loved the pool and being so close to the beach and restaurants. Highly recommend staying here.

Great Place in Rincon
A big thank you to our hosts. We had a terrific time at Casa Marina, with its proximity to town, the marina and countless beaches. We were a group of 6 adults and two kids and a good time was had by all. Two of us were actually working remotely during much of the time and the strong Wi-Fi came in very handy. The Marina is a three minute walk with a beach great for swimming and vendors for snorkeling/scuba/water sport rentals. The house itself was clean and well kept up. Pool area was nicely furnished with floats and towels provided. Yes it’s next to the road and at times it could get loud, but it quiets down at night so we didn’t have any issues. Kitchen is pretty well stocked with plates, utensils, and cookware. One thing it could use is a cutting board. Also, the dishwasher is definitely in need of replacement (make sure to rinse all dishes well before and after using this).
A couple suggestions for those staying here. Hit up the English Rose for brunch and if your looking for an out-of-the-way sandy swimming spot, we really liked Balneario de Anasco in La Playa to the south. About a 20 minute drive but it’s a huge stretch of largely empty beach (the area was hit hard by Maria).

Great location
Casa Marina is in a great location, walk to the beach, restaurant, bars with ease. Communication was John was great, there were some minor issues that he fixed immediately. The house is a little noisy being right on the main road but it didn’t bother our two young kids, and was well worth the location! Would stay again.

It became an issue, as we had my nine month old granddaughter with us. They were circling her like birds of prey waiting for her to drop something or her bottle. They were also aggressive towards each other. We finally chased them away after two days. Management should encourage guests not to feed them because they’ll stay in the pool area. I think plenty of people feed them down by the restaurants. Also coffee maker needs to be replaced, Not heating properly and falling apart. I would give this property five stars! It is comfortable and the private pool is wonderful.

We spent our vacation at this beautiful home in Ricon with our family from Puerto Rico. Both John Velez and John Bacon were amazing and very professional and making sure that me and family were comfortable at there rental. The home is beautiful clean and very close to the beach and everything else. All I can say is rent this home you will be extremely happy. The home is very modern and has a phenomenal view from the terrace.

We spent our vacation at this beautiful home in Ricon with our family from Puerto Rico. Both John Velez and John Bacon were amazing and very professional and making sure that me and family were comfortable at there rental. The home is beautiful clean and very close to the beach and everything else. All I can say is rent this home you will be extremely happy. The home is very modern and has a phenomenal view from the terrace.

Had a great time in Rincon. The house was a short walk to the beach, which was not busy during our time there. There was a place to rent stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, etc. right there. The restaurants/bars were unpredictable in their operating hours while we were there but we enjoyed them when we went. Walk to downtown Rincon is not too bad and more enjoyable down the beach vs. the road which is often missing sidewalks.
Best parts of the house: the pool area was a great, relaxing place to hang out. Even though it was close to the road and neighbors, the trees and fence made it feel private. The top floor terrace was also nice and we enjoyed hanging out there during a rain storm (under the covered half!).
Just a few things that we didn't like: the locks were a challenge. The driveway lock was stubborn to turn which caused some stress over whether we'd get our cars stuck in the garage. We never did manage to get the people gates open so we used the driveway gate each time we left. The top floor, including the 3rd full bathroom has no AC and is quite hot (suggest using a different shower!). Kitchen had enough to get by, but was less appointed than we'd hoped for; e.g., the pots/pans were pretty terrible and everything we cooked stuck/burnt on despite using oil.

Great Location and Spotlessly Clean
The seven of us (ages 12-57) stayed at the property for a week in late April 2021. This is clearly one of the best houses in the Rincon area—location is terrific (3 minutes to marina and beach) yet in the backyard pool area one feels nearly complete privacy.
The house was spotless, super clean, and reasonably appointed. Kitchen, dining and living areas were nice. The bedrooms were spartan, but comfortable.
Normally this would be a five-star review. However, we experienced major issues with the plumbing system throughout our stay—from lack of hot water showers, to minimal pressure (sometimes none) emitted from the shower fixtures on the second floor bedrooms level. On the third floor the bathroom adjacent to the observation porch (our favorite feature) faired better, usually with warm/hot water and decent pressure. During the stay we contacted the homeowners directly, who were very easy to reach by phone—but remote or not in the area. The plumber didn’t show up until the third day, and spent nearly 7 hours replacing insta-hot heaters, shower heads and flow mixers and such. We believe the owners truly are attempting to repair or grade this plumbing infrastructure following our stay; however, we would advise you confirm that before booking.
With the plumbing issues resolved, this rental will be a five-star.

Lovely home.
The Casa Marina had an amazing location. My family and I would go to Black eagle beach snorkeling with our kids on a daily basis. There are multiple restaurants just steps away, aswell. John (the owner) went above and beyond to make our stay a great experience.
