Good location
The bathroom mould! Our bathroom had lots of mould on the ceiling, and the whole room smelt damp. We told reception and were only offered air freshener as a resolution… which obviously isn’t what’s needed. This really put us off the hotel and we were glad to be finished with our stay there by the end. Photos attached…
It’s also right next to a large restaurant so on the Friday night, it was booming loud music next to our room as if we were in a club. This didn’t stop until midnight, before a big hike we had the next day. Again, reception weren’t very helpful - they just said it should end soon and they can’t do anything.

The hotel was very loud. Music from the local brewery was over powering. Hotel staff sat right outside our room to eat, watch videos or play music on their phones and socialize. There seemed to be very little recognition of guests needs for quiet.

The front desk and rest of the staff make an effort to help and deliver the most they can. My three nights there, I circulated myself in three rooms - the first one had an impossible musty smell suppressed by chemical spray. The receptionist girl was very kind to move me to room that was much larger with high ceiling and great ventilation. This second room was pre-booked so I had to move to a third room on my third day which was like the first one, in size and in smell. All three rooms had weak or almost zero wifi coverage.

I always enjoy staying at Casa Antigua. Very comfortable, dog friendly and great staff.
I would have liked a jug for water in my room instead of usinga tiny paper cup. Also wish they didn't use styrofoam for the coffee. Paper is better for the environment!
But minor issues - a great place.

Only the location of the placeis very good. Close to the main plaza
The staff at the front desk has 0 client services attitude. The transportation to the parking lot is a mess. Day shift front staff very rude and unhelpful.

Good location, great value
Parking is not available on site or even close by. There is a lot at the edge of town (two blocks from the turn off Route 10 into Antigua). Be aware as this was not communicated to me despite discussing parking and asking for a reservation.
Moreover, upon arrival, the front desk supposedly explained the procedure and provided a map to the parking lot, but neglected to provide the required ticket for entry/security control and the lot itself was closed as the security guard was taking lunch.
The check-in process at the hotel was very slow. It took about 20 minutes to finalize the paperwork and pay the bill.

The hotel is very clean, it is in downtown but still very quiet, with beautiful garden. Staff is very nice and helpful.

I liked very much to get out of there.
No working wifi. Bad attitude. Bugs in our beds. False promises about facilities. In conclusion a very bad experience!

room was bit on dark side - not much natural light.

Awesome service! Aurora went above and beyond! Don’t lose her!
The door to the outside doesn’t stay open by itself. I loved the door open to view the amazing garden.

The location couldn’t be beat and there was a lovely rooftop terrace to see the sunset.
The room had a pervasive chemical scent and only one window could be opened so it never dissipated. The mattress was very old and uncomfortable, and the noise from the bar across the street was loud enough it was like it was in our room. We wanted to love it because the facilities are beautiful but for the price we paid it wasn’t worth it.

Excellent location and very friendly staff. A lot of flowers inside the hostel. Comfortable and clean rooms.

A very old and interesting building with rooms circling beautiful courtyards for relaxing. Great location within the old city, walking distance to everything. Lots of good restaurants around.
The internet was poor. Rooftop deck was unmaintained and not inviting.

Perfect location. Close to everything. Old colonial building built around beautiful courtyards which were lovely for sitting in.
Poor internet. Mostly it was in the courtyards, not in the rooms. The rooftop deck needed a lot of work.

the rooms are simple and clean. WiFi worked quite well :).
there was one little window against the staircase in my room wich i had to close because of the noise of other guests ans staff. so my room was quite dark.
no warm water in the bathroom.

the location
First the photos and the information of facilities says that they have a pool, but when we asked for that, the pool is in another location. Is not clean and the property has mould
