The house was perfect for what we needed - functional kitchen, GREAT screened in porch, comfortable living room seating, and 0.5 miles from shops and restaurants. This is not a 5-star hotel, so please don't expect that. This house seemed like an old fishing cabin with a few add-ons, which made it charming. Very Ocracoke. :)

The patio was wonderful and there was plenty of privacy. But this place needs some very basic, minimal maintenance. There are holes in the linoleum. There's no tub. The picture describes a 'queen bed' but it's actually a double. Not only was the primary air conditioner in the kitchen broken, but it was also moldy and gross - not what I want the air my children breathe to pass through. Overall we were pretty disappointed. Luckily, the beauty of the island made up for it.
