The venue is in a quiet suburb, which was favourable and close to shops and finding the place was not difficult when using a google map.
Though it was not that much of an inconvenience as there were not many tenants at the time, I think they need to relook at the parking space allocation.

Very clean and safe, very friendly people.

Booking.com did not accurately represent this place. Always call and find out from the place before making a booking. Booking.com advertised for rooms that are not usually given out by the guesthouse.

The area.
The room and the attitude of the contact person. The check out time was also not explained properly. On the app it says 10:00 but I was harrassed to hand in the key by 9:30

The staff were very friendly and the Lodge was clean
The lodge is old with wooden stairs and floors. The rooms are made from dry walling so you can hear everything from your neighbouring rooms and them walking down the passage. We booked 5 rooms. We received no breakfast and made our own even tho three rooms had breakfast included. But the other 2 didn't. Not sure how that worked. The didn't refund us for the breakfast that we didn't get but merely charged us more because the one room had 2 people staying in it but we only paid for one person to sleep in a twin room.

Breakfast is not included when booking through Booking.com. It is an additional charge. We found a lot of options available to us nearby. Rooms were well equipped and comfortable with great touches like black out curtains. Eric was very helpful and accommodating
I booked one room and got another. Breakfast was not included despite being advertised as being a B&B. I also made a request on booking that resulted in a resounding NO, which was dissapointing and as it turned out, could easily have been accommodated.

The reception lady was fairly friendly and that's about it.
The rooms is definitely not sound proof. I could hear everything the neighbours were doing. It's not a space to have a peaceful night's sleep. One of the people in the other room took a shower at 4 in the morning that woke me up.Traces of black mould evident in the shower.
Definitely not a place I will visit again considering the cost and the cost of other places in the area. No wonder the other places was all fully booked and not this place.

Most friendly staff, room neat and tidy. They have an inverter and solar panels, which is a huge bonus.
We loved staying here.

What u see on the pictures is not what u get. Much smaller, small splash pool and jacuzzi did not work. Receptionist had an attitude and didnt make us feel welcome at all. The 4 night stay was definitely not worth R11000.

Great location, fully enclosed gate and electrified fencing. Secure parking. Clean rooms, and great shower pressure. Staff are super friendly.
I found the furniture in the rooms and breakfast area to be quite outdated, and dark. One could quite easily have the current furniture painted and brightened up to give it a refreshed and modernised feel. The photos online gave me higher expectations. The rooms are quite close to each other, one can hear your neighbours coming and going.
I’d suggest to provide a round two point plug adapter for the hairdryer that is available in the room. I was unable to make use of it due to no adapter. Some cutlery in the room would also be great for stay in meals.

The lady who checked us in was very nice and helpful.
First impressions, cosy looking building with lovely garden. Get inside....decor is outdated and there is a disturbing amount of artificial flowers. Get to room. Bed Linen is not comfortable or welcoming. Duvet is thin , pillows are lumpy. Bathroom - shower barely worked and ran out of hot water after 1 person showered. The towels would be more appropriate as hand towels than for showering and also look super old. Cooked Breakfast was very tasty, but the buffet was very dismal.
Everything is clean, but a bit "tired" Definitely not as "Boutique" as described.

No loadshedding, always WiFi, full DStv packages. Very neat and sparkle clean rooms
Small parking space, especially when there is more than 3 big cars, to manoeuvre out of space when leaving early

Although there are always small improvements possible (room keys that look like toys, or sound insulation not always at the top...), the Petit Chateau is really a nice place. What matters is the comfort, cleanliness, hospitality and human qualities of the hosts, and you can find all this in "le Petit Chateau". In addition, the area is very well located, close to the center of Durbanville. So we recommend this place!
