Great place - excellent breakfast

Nice location, practical structure , staff is generally kind.

As a couple we had a big room with two single bed. We asked for a change and they gave us a smaller room with king size bed and told us that that one was more expensive (20%) really not nice or fair.

It was our first visit to Uruguay and the staff on reception were so kind and helpful. They patiently and with smiles assisted in any request we had. Hotel has an excellent location near the river in the vicinity of the shopping center and some good restaurants. The room was spacious with a view on the river. Breakfast was good, as well.

Staff at front desk and restaurant provide top quality service! Rooms are spacious and clean. Beds rather comfortable. Great location.

Everything was great there

The location was great. Walkable to the Punta Carretas mall. The food at the restaurant for breakfast and the tea time was excellent and high quality of food. I highly recommend you try their tea hour buffet in the afternoon! One of the few hotels in Montevideo that has jacuzzi and with a wonderful view from the top. The view of the room was amazing (I got sea view from the side). The bed was extremely comfortable! You can jog or walk right next to the sea just crossing the avenue of the hotel and it was so nice with many people walking and doing exercise too in the morning.

I didn't know in advance that to use the jacuzzi you had to make a reservation. Luckily there weren't enough people when I wanted to go. But if you know you want to use it when you go at a certain time, I would reserve it before you go so it's not fully booked. The jacuzzi could be a bit warmer.

Large room, beautifully decorated, clean and well appointed. Great breakfast. Nice restaurants nearby.

nothing really special about the hotel but its location

hotel is super old; bathroom door didn’t close; air conditioning wasn’t working properly it was all the time super cold so we had to turn it off. gym is extremely small like for a person and swimming pool needs to be booked per room and each room can book it only for one hour. staff was super unfriendly. they charged us for two more days, and made a huge problem about letting us leave after one night at the hotel because we truly hated staying there. it took us 4h, booking.com support and a lot of nerves to make them not charge us for other 4-5nights as they said they would. so we stayed one night but paid for three. we went to other hotel, which turned out way better. if you can avoid this place - it’s overpriced and definitely not worth the money. For me it was a scam.

At 2 am in the morning I woke up to a shower from the ceiling, after calling for help they realized is was coming from the air conditioning, and they shared it has happened before. The staff wanted for me to stayed in that wet room until the next morning. My plane was leaving later on the day and I requested a late check out and they charge me for it. I will never stay in that hotel nor my family or friends.

The breakfast was excellent, and the staff's attention was as well. The location is just perfect; charming neighborhood near the beach, and the bedroom has good noise cancellation.

The beds could be comfier, but they're okay.

USD 30 Charge for early check in at 10.00 unreasonable as that is when the international flights have you arrive. However this was refunded when the bath did not function and we had to use the shower which we thought was. appropriate and friendly.

The hotel offers a lot of services, such as jacuzzi and bike rent, which is a very nice touch. It is not too far from the beach and there is a shopping center and restaurants very close by. Staff is helpful.

when we stayed on the 4th of January, there was work happening in the hotel and it was quite noisy, we had our room swapped, but we would have appreciated the heads up or some compensation.

they started using drills and doing construction in the kitchen at 7 am, waking us all up.

Its an old fashioned well maintained hotel. Bed, bathroom and bedroom are very confortable.

As any old fashioned hotel, all ancilliaries are at a cost. So, make sure to compare final prices. In our case, we've ordered an extra bed. This website didnt mention there was a cost, and if, what it would be. The hotel, mentioned tht didnt receive the info but installed the bed. Just when we got back to the hotel at late night with our son sleeping on my arms, they've mebtioned the additional 30 dolars fee.
