We stayed at The Spinney for a family occasion and appreciated the peace and tranquility and the warm welcome from Mick and Penny. Would definitely stay there again if we're ever in the area.

Room was a bit small and stairs quite steep but to be expected in an old property.

Great location. Friendly and helpful hosts. Amazing breakfasts! Warm and welcoming. Well equipped.
Had trouble with TV (not a big deal for us). Would have preferred a stronger shower but understand can be issues with water pressure in rural areas.

The property has a lot of character and the room was lovey and very comfortable. The vine in the conservatory was very unusual and added to the charm.

What a lovely host with great knowledge of the surrounding area.
Breakfast included wonderful homemade bread and jams.
The room was quite small but had everything in you needed.

Breakfast was cooked very well and plenty of it. It’s as much as I could eat and the homemade bread was really nice . Very accommodating when asked for anything. Homemade ginger biscuits in room added a ice touch and were really nice

The breakfasts were really great Marie ann made all her own bread, jams and marmalades the pancakes were a real treat with honey and fresh strawberries for breakfast

The Spinney is a lovely guest house Marianne was very nice and pleasant. Our room was nice, clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. We slept well. The breakfast was very good with home made bread.

Breakfast was excellent and our host was lovely - nothing was too much trouble. Delicious homemade biscuits in our room and good tea/coffee facilities - a good base for our short break.
