The location was excellent. 24 hour security was welcome. When we finally located the host, he was friendly and somewhat helpful. There were a number of restaurants, both good and mediocre, within a short walk. A supermarket was very close.

Firstly, Booking.com showed the property as a 3-star hotel. In fact, it is a small part of a 30 storey apartment building. Finding the host was a marathon; fortunately we had a driver from the airport who was most helpful and tenacious in finding the host. The kitchen was barely adequate. There were only two elevators, and almost all the time only one was operating. On numerous occasions we had to wait, wait, and wait some more, because the elevators were small and often full as they stopped on our floor. The city view was the blank wall of a building across the street. There was a considerable amount of mould in the bathroom. There was no mattress cover on the bed, only a single flat sheet that didn't tuck in. There appeared to be mould on the doona. Google maps, if you check the address, shows a number of accommodations at the same place, leading us to conclude that there might be a gap between fact and fiction.

Excellent location, great value for money, staff helpful, but not English speaking.

Be aware this is an apartment in a private residential block, not a hotel. The room is small, but it has everything you need. Check in confusing as the reception is not for the apartment, you have to call the number and the manager comes to meet you. The block has 30 floors, one lift wasn't working, thankfully we were Floor 5, so not too many stairs.

Bed was comfortable. Manager was very pleasant.

Former prostitution, drugs and murder problems. Armed security w bullet proof vests at the door monitoring who comes and goes. The floor in the room was filthy. Dishes in the cupboards were dirty. The 8.8 rating for this place is clearly bogus. Stayed only 2 of the 3 nights we booked. We went to a different hotel around the corner for our 3rd night.

Great location, close to main attractions and metro station. The apartment was big, the bed very comfortable. Very friendly staff! Easy access to the building.

Pretty old apartment in a huge building. The bathroom wasn't very clean, so as the kitchen equipment. It would be great to have at least basic products in the kitchen, like salt and oil. And a wine opener! FYI: the staff was speaking only Spanish.

Everything was perfect! The place is very safe, and there are many safety officers. Very close to the main attractions and big supermarket is about 50 meters from the place. The owner was very nice, he even welcomed us with a cup of coffee.

It's not especially quiet during night, but still we slept like crazy. There is no air condition which is hard if you arrive to Santiago during summer. Only fan available, but it's not enough.

The responsible staff were very nice and helpful before and during the stay. Also, it was possible to enter the apartment before the official check-in time.

The place was not very clean and the bed sheets neither. I wouldn't have used the kitchen. And the furniture, curtains and mattress seemed very old.

Really central location. Ten minutes walk from Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral and the Presidential Palace. Ten minutes from metro station. Mini-markets and restaurants nearby. Good wifi. Helpful and friendly owners.

Not as clean as it should be. Dog barking in the next apartment. It's a residential building, neighbours may be noisy.

Marcello and staff are amazing. I'm usually not one to interact with staff much, but they really went out of their way at every opportunity to make my time in Santiago the best it could be. Very central, one block from the hotel the road becomes pedestrian only with tonnes of markets, restaurants, cafés, etc, etc.

Location and the secure building

No air-conditioning, only one roll of toilet paper, the towels were thorn and in very bad condition. I asked the host to bring an extra sheet, but he never brought it.

Great location, close to all major government buildings, coffee shops, metro and historic location. Very clean, spacious.

The rooms need proper heaters in winter.
