Very good
Fantastic view from the balcony of the bay below. Manolis was affable and helpful.
Not the most convenient location, especially with a rucksack - there were a lot of steps. The room was basic but adequate for a night.

Fourni is for the fit
Fourni is for the fit and sporty. Manolis is a great host. I am grateful that he met us at the ferry dock in the middle of the night. There is a very nice walking path from the village to the apartments, but it is almost 100 m uphill. Unless you are used to walking uphill, you better hire a car or a scooter.
The water at Kampi beach is a bit cold.

Great sea view, a fantastic terrace, plenty of quiet - so long as you're happy to climb some steps
The view of Kambi bay from the spacious terrace is lovely, from dawn through to the night, when you can see plenty of stars, including the Galaxy. The terrace is partly covered and built so that you can always find shade during daytime and some spot that's relatively protected from the strong winds that sometimes lash the island. With the rare exception of the odd inconsiderate neighbour (like the couple who arrived on the midnight boat and spent a good hour banging windows and scraping furniture right above my head), you'll enjoy a quiet stay, as most visitors - some regulars - are considerate, pleasant and chatty. My bright and airy studio was clean and had a spacious, well-equipped kitchenette, a basic but functional bathroom, a double bed (the mattress was on the hard side, but, for my tastes, comfortable), a single sofa-bed, and an air-con unit. Bonus point: in September, there were no mosquitoes. There's no TV, which I didn't mind at all. The wi-fi seemed reliable. The studios are about 5-15' on foot from the 'town' (there is a town hall) & harbour, via either the fairly wide flagstoned path or the tarmacked main road. To reach either, however, you'll need to climb a good few steps. Another good few steps (about 100) lead down to Kambi beach, where there are a couple of taverns; that's the nearest place for getting drinking water, if you forget to buy or, even better, refill a bottle for free from the communal filtered tap near the end of the Kambi path. The desalination plant currently being built will solve that problem eventually. In the town, there are a couple of bakeries, several mini-markets, a pharmacy, a couple of other shops, several taverns and a nice traditional café οn the square. Try Afroditi's tasty chicken-kebab wraps.
Accessibility is a big issue: if you're not able to climb several steps from the small parking lot to the studios, look for a place in town, near the harbour where it's relatively flat. Overall, Rena's Studio's are fine. Just a few minor gripes: -There was no shower bracket, which is a needless pain; it's easy and cheap to fit one. The shower tray is small, with the usual plastic curtain that clings lovingly on anything wet. - A hairdryer would be handy. -The large window above the bed has no shutters, which means that light floods the room at dawn. A blackout roller blind would fix that problem, again, easily and cheaply. -A couple of sockets are a bit loose and definitely need fixing. Especially if a family with children were to rent the studio, loose sockets are a hazard.

The first but certainly not the last time we have been there
Manolis picked us up from the port and took us to the studio. The apartment was stunning! Decorated with a loving touch, really clean, and the view from our huge terrace was breathtaking. There were steps going down to the beach, with a restaurant and sunchairs on it. A beautiful footpath leads down to the village which is about a 15 min walk away. Fourni village itself is very charming, with restaurants and a few shops.
