The location and view are incredible, George is very welcoming. The villa is spacious and has 2 large balconies. Everything you need is there and we were 2 families of 4 with kids 4-9 years old. One couple were on the couch bed in the lounge but it worked well for us
There’s nothing that George can do about it, but every afternoon from 5-10pm there is an outdoor club that plays music so loud it takes over the whole resort. They bring in bus loads of people to party. It all finishes around 10pm but it really ruins the evening for nice dinners on the balcony by the sea.
Also recommend stopping at Lidl near the airport before you arrive because the little shops are massively expensive because they no there are no local supermarkets

The house was very comfortable and had two shower rooms, which was a nice surprise and great as 7 of us stayed. There is one double on top floor with living accommodation and a second double with sea balcony and the bunk room downstairs. One shower room on each level.
Plenty of pots and plates for eating in, which we did a lot. Comfy beds - doubles were on the firm side, I would say, bunks softer.
Amazing views from the balconies over the beach. The beach is beautiful and clean, grades off slowly and full of fish so great for kids and snorkeling.
George was a courteous and helpful host and advised us on the bus service. You can get pretty frequent direct buses to Corfu town, which also stop at Aqualand, which is a great day out. The bus takes you right into town; if you stay on it it then goes to the depot which is right next to Lidl. €2.20 to town (45 mins) €1.60 to Aqualand (20 mins).
On the quieter days the house was a wonderful place to be; on the noisier days the club music spoilt things rather, which is a real shame for hosts because I think Glyfada is a great place for families to holiday safely, but I think this would be off putting for many of those families, but this would not be an honest review if I didn't mention it.
The negatives of our review don't apply to the house itself so please read the positive points to see we were really happy with the accommodation! The negative are things out of the control of the host. Glyfada is a hillside location, there is no getting away from it: it's steep so bear that in mind. This house is in the Menigos Resort and there are narrow access roads around it for cars, or lots of steps, so you have a choice on which way to go; the older member of our party preferred the slopes to steps.
The resort is quite self contained but as a result we felt it was expensive. The mini market charged nearly €3 for a carton of milk for example. We didn't have a car so used the green bus service to Corfu Town for groceries at Lidl. A meal out in a taverna cost us the same as it would in the UK, which surprised us, but we're new to Greece, so didn't know it was expensive. The food was good, however, so I can't complain on that front - we mostly used the taverna at the right hand end of the beach.
There is a bar with designs on becoming a nightclub. The thumping music begins around 10am and from Sunday to Wed stopped between 8pm-11pm. This was a real shame because that's not the holiday we wanted. You can get away from it during the day by going to the right hand end of the beach, but sitting on the balcony became unendurable sometimes and we had to go inside and shut the doors for a bit of quiet. No other reviews mentioned this so either it's new or it's a July/August thing. There are bus loads of youngsters who arrive for the club every day.

You could walk to the beach, resort and market.
Bus loads of tourists, crazy small scary roads to get there. Kitchen horribly outdated. Very steep.

George was a super nice host and helped us with anything we needed including food for a late night arrival which was perfect with a bottle of wine. Off season the beach is super quite with only a few people which we loved and only 2 minutes from your door. The view from the balcony is amazing and the place is very clean and warm or it has AC if needed plus good pots and pans as we cooked a lot. Only 25 mins drive from the airport so easy to get to and some lovely local villages just 5 minutes drive away with markets and restaurants
Parking but really that is everywhere on Corfu, it is hard for somebody used to bigger spaces. Off season you need to drive for food and drink but only 5 mins away, this is the case on most beach places this size in Corfu. In season there are plenty of local places to eat

The apartment was really cozy and the view and proximity of glyfada beach is amazing.
George is a really nice host and welcomed us warmly!

Ok, so the place is a little bit outdated. Ok, so you need to climb a bunch of stairs to get there from the beach. It really does not matter when you have a balcony with such beautiful view. The place was clean, well equipped, near to the golden sand beach and perfect for a nice evening with a glass of wine.
Plus the host is super nice and helpful.

Very nice location with beautiful view. I really liked the open kitchen into the living room. Contact with George was easy & very friendly.

Great view and location in glifada. Well equipped kitchen. Big enough for family of 6.
Lack of air condition in living room and one bedroom. Had a problem with the light in living room. Dark shower room upstairs. TV very small and not really useful.

location
The comfort of the villa was below expectations.
The villa is not maintained at all, everything is very old and untidy.

The location is very good and the view from the balcony is spectacular! Easy access to the beach via the steps meant that there was no need to drive every day. The apartment is set over two floors which gave us plenty of space and privacy. We appreciated the linen change and clean mid stay. George, the owner, was very helpful and we enjoyed the gifts of fruit and wine.
It was disappointing that the swimming pool is run by the resort bar and, although open, didn’t look clean enough to use. As we were travelling with a toddler this facility was important to us.
Although the apartment is quite well equipped, some items could do with an upgrade.

We had a great time at the Apartment. It is more than well equipped and you will find everything you need. George was one of the greatest Hosts we ever met, so kind and hospitable. He was always available and helped us a lot with every question or issue we had.
He also ensured that we are okay and have everything we need and brought us Watermelon and fruits while we were at the beach. The view from the balcony is more than stunning and you can relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the sunset. You can reach Korfu city easy by renting a car (which he also offers), by bus or taxi. With car it takes only 25 Minutes.
The Beach is beautiful so you don’t really need the Pool which is also available at the Resort.
We definitely will come back again to this Place when we are in Glyfada.
Thanks for everything George!
