Great position for beaches, golf, water parks, Zoo Marine, supermarkets, restaurants, shopping etc 3. So it is great for families of all ages 4. Heated swimming pool so late night dips 5. We loved this villa which is set in the outskirts of Carvoiero but still only a very pleasant 20 minute walk into town (and that’s for the oldies). The pool is fantastic - and a really big. Villa is very well equipped and all the rooms are a very good size. Bathrooms are lovely. It was a delight sitting on the terrace looking at the garden. We ate at the large table there - it was wonderful. All bedrooms have AC which makes for a very good night’s sleep - temp was reaching 45 in the sun when we were there. My only improvement would be AC in the living room. Would definitely book again.

The villa gave us loads of space both inside and out. My favourite being the outside space, especially the sunsets from the rooftop. Lots of great restaurants a short walk away. We used local taxis for transfers and shopping, otherwise we walked everywhere.

The villa is set in beautiful gardens, surrounded by some spectacular flowers. Excellent sized pool, perfect setting for a holiday. Spacious villa with great amenities. Plenty of space for 4 adults, bonus of a bathroom each! The walk to town is about 15 /20 mins, although plenty of taxi’s if you don’t want to walk back.? Had the most glorious time, would highly recommend.

We have just returned from a lovely week at Casa Luessa. The villa is really lovely, spacious and has very generous sized bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms. The pool area is also a great size and is very secure for young children as it has a gated wall around it. The villa is so well equipped and literally has everything you need, it was also nice that we arrived to bread, milk and eggs. Rose was always very informative and great at responding to emails and Gaby (the Manageress) came round on the first day to introduce herself and was always very helpful and responsive to messages. The villa is in a lovely, quite location, we did need to get taxi’s everywhere though, this was mainly as we had four under 5’s in our party. We walked into Carveiro one evening and it was too far for the little legs! It was also a bit far to walk to the nearest shop. Generally it’s a 15-20 minute walk which is fine but it’s important to note it’s quite far for little ones, especially in the heat so taxi’s are required to get to the shops/beach/restaurants. It’s about an hour from Faro Airport. Also, bug spray is recommended if you want to enjoy the lovely terrace area during the evenings! Overall, we all had a lovely time and would definitely recommend Casa Luessa.

Gaby the property manager was super responsive and the couple of issues we had were resolved super quick. Rose is a great owner with easy communication. Hope we’ll be back soon.

We were a group of 8, with age range from 6 to 81 years old and all we wanted was peace and quiet. This property gave us just that! The swimming pool was just perfect and it will be forever in our hearts because it was where our little one learned how to swim! The property and its surroundings is extremely well taken care of, the cleaning is spotless and the attention to detail is remarkable (the small note welcoming us was delightful). Thank you Rose, Rob and Paula for everything!

Fantastic Villa for families or friends! The pool is great and heating is very fast! Beatiful decoration and had everything needed for our vacations! Rose allways replied our questions very quickly! We'll definitly book it again.

We stayed at this beautiful villa in July 2021 and had a great time. The properly owner rose, is extremely helpful and answers any questions promptly. We were travelling with three children under the age of 4 so were a little apprehensive but the set up and location were great for a family with young children and we absolutely loved the pool. The villa is very close (within 10 min drive) to some beautiful beaches and fantastic restaurants. We would definitely recommend staying at this villa and hope to return soon.

We had a lovely stay at Casa Luessa, it’s a beautiful Villa with spacious comfortable bedrooms. It’s very well equipped with nice additional touches such as a Bluetooth speaker, essential groceries on arrival and pool inflatables. The pool is a good size and gated (a fence/gate around terrace or main gate would have also been useful...but I appreciate not all guests need this). Lovely gardens too. Great communication from both Rose and the local manager. Lucky enough to capture a photo of the once a year flowering orchid . Highly Recommended

The pool is a fantastic size, and the kids spent hours happily wrestling with the amazing inflatables. The house and garden reflect the space of the pool. The place is spotless and has everything you need, including some food and wine on arrival, this caring attention to detail made us feel very lucky indeed. On the first night we witnessed the opening of a rare flower; in the moonlight, on the terrace. It only flowers once a year and so we knew we were in for a treat! It is a short walk to the town and beach, although a taxi home after would be a good idea if you want to avoid teenage moaning! The local beach was the best one in the area but we did have a fantastic day out at Beliche beach on the west coast, well worth the drive. Restaurant recommendations were excellent too, and cooking at home was easy due to the well stocked kitchen. A wonderful place to stay.

This is the third time that we have rented this villa - that shows how much we love it. The facilities are excellent, the villa is immaculate as are the gardens and the pool area (with table tennis table). Two large fridges and a freezer are particularly useful, and the newly updated bathroom is very nice. There are excellent restaurants within a couple of minutes drive and three supermarkets within less than ten minutes drive Carvoeiro is also less than ten minutes drive though parking was more difficult this year. Our party had grandparents, four further adults and children ranging from 18 months to 12 years old and we all love staying at this villa.

Suffice to say this was our 4th consecutive visit to this villa. Rose’s communication is first class and management team on site are very helpful, if required. The pool area is enclosed, which is great if you have young family. The restaurants are all within a pleasant walk. We love this villa, Highly recommend.

We stayed two weeks in Aug. We’re a family group of 6 and had plenty of space. Villa is very comfortable and well equipped. Living areas nice and cool and well furnished, with games tv and sound system. Electric window blinds are a great bonus. Bedrooms are all well sized and beds comfy with air conditioning. Bathrooms are generally ok, couple could do with a refurb but showers and everything else works fine. Pool area is fab, large pool and lots of comfy sun beds and gets sun all day. We covered the pool every night and the pool was always a nice temp. Location is easily walkable from town but a taxi is only 6-7 euros. You need a car for the supermarkets though. We’ve stayed in this area three times and like it there are a couple of really good restaurants very close if you don’t want to go into town and a small shop. Only minor complaint is it’s near a well used route into Carvoiero so a bit of traffic noise. Rose was great to deal with. Local management was very responsive with a couple of small issues we had. Cleaner was great and Villa feels clean and well maintained inside and out. Would not hesitate to recommend and return to the Villa ourselves.

We enjoyed our stay so much in 2017 that we came again this year. The villa has everything needed for a great holiday for ten of us including 4 children, 2 of whom were under 3. The gated pool is particularly good for keeping young children safe. Having two fridges in the kitchen is also really useful (keeps the wine and beer cool!) The 4 bedrooms are all air conditioned and the maid keeps the whole villa very clean and changes towels and bedding regularly. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed their stay and we look forward to visiting again

The villa was excellent. Rooms were spacious,with three of the four bedrooms having good en suite facilities. The kitchen was well equipped and the TV/entertainment were also very good and useful when it got too hot and the children needed to go indooors. The pool area was particularly good with the gates being useful for keeping a lively 18 month old girl safe. Special mention also to the maid who spoke excellent English and kept the villa immaculate. The local management team were also very good at quickly handling a couple of minor issues. I highly recommend this beautiful villa and my wife, a RHS member, loved the flowers and plants in the garden.

We had a lovely week at the villa. Rose was very helpful and organised for us to get into the villa a couple of hours earlier than normal check in time. The villa was clean and well equipped, the beds were all very comfortable and we particularly appreciated the air conditioning in the bedrooms and the security shutters as it was very hot during our stay. The pool was lovely however the only downside for us was that the heating was turned on halfway through our stay to accommodate the next family which made the pool far too warm for us and not refreshing or enjoyable. We ate out every night using lots of the restaurants recommended by the owners. We enjoyed the walk into town and back every night and didn't need to use taxis at all during our stay. We went on a boat trip to the caves which was excellent and definitely recommended. Overall I would recommend this villa.

we had a lovely relaxing holiday at this lovely villa, everything was fine from start to finish no complaints at all, was great to come back from a day out in the heat and cool off in the pool, it is about a 15 minute walk downhill mostly to the town but would recomend a taxi back as it is mostly uphill all the way back, we had no problem getting a taxi , only about 4 euro so no big deal, i would recommend this villa

Another delightful stay at this villa. Lovely spacious villa and gardens. Great peaceful location, within walking distance of Carvoeiro's restaurants and shops. Great pool area and the addition this year, of a new table tennis table in the vicinity of the pool, was a bonus. 2nd year running at this villa and suffice to say, we are already planning to return next year. Rose, is exceptional in her communication - highly recommend this villa.

With 4 double bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, this villa is very spacious and well equipped. The outside area, gardens and pool are all fantastic. It was a perfect villa for our holiday and I would definitely book again. It takes around 20 minutes to walk into the town and there are lots of lovely restaurants to choose from.

I know Carvoeiro well and visit the area at least once a year. Havin decided to hire a larger villa to treat my family, I found Casa Luessa on the Owners Direct site. The whole experience was very good throughout a Rose Baines was always very quick to respond to any questions etc. The arrival was efficiently handled and the villa itself was superb and homely. We came in the hottest period of the year but the air conditioning in all the bedrooms and the proximity of the lovely pool meant we were able to keep our cool. The place was kept immaculate by a lovely lady who came three times a week, the pool man and the gardener. Truus, the manager was available if needed. You could manage without a car, but we hired one locally for a week, which was useful, not only to go wider afield but also to get shopping from Intermarche, otherwise you would have to shop at small, and expensive, mini markets in town (and have to carry it back). Also in the high season, catching a taxi from the town back to the villa involves a long wait. If you go to the local water park west of Lagoa, ensure you take a beach umbrella. We thought they would be supplied, but that is not so and in high summer the place gets very hot. Overall, the villa is delightful, the arrangements efficient, and

The Casa Luessa is an idyllic getaway for those who prefer a taste of traditional Portugal. The villa was not high gloss and modern but had its own charismatic charm which was ideal for our family. We arrived early on Saturday morning and although the villa shouldn’t have been available until the afternoon, Rose the owner kindly agreed we could access the property from 11.00am. Once inside, the accomodation provided everything our family needed and although two of the bathrooms required a little modernisation they were adequate for our needs. We were blown away with the space and facilites. It was obvious that the owner was modernising the property, which only adds to the charm of the place. The pool was wonderful, shallow enough at one end for my 5 year old granddaughter to feel confident in the water and deep enough the other for the family water fights. We didn't pay for the extra pool heating the water was a lovely temperature every day, even in the morning The roof top provided amazing views of the sunset and surrounding area and would have been even better if seating had been provided, but that was just my opinion. We weren’t able to venture very far from the villa due to a knee injury in the party, but we did take taxi’s into Carvoeiro.In hindsight I would say that a car would have been an advantage, especially for the shopping trips. The taxi service was a bit hit and miss and we were taken to the Villa Luessa on a couple of occasions by mistake but that may have been down to our pronunciation. We did walk to the local supermarket but it was basic and you really need to visit the Hypermarket which has everything you will need The outdoor dining with the barbeque was great, we cooked most evenings using the conventional oven or the barbeque. We even manged to order a takeaway which was delivered to the villa without a problem. We did eat out one evening at a local restuarant with a childrens play area and the food was very good. The town is lovely with a beach and enough bars and restuarauts for a week long stay and there and several coastal walks to explore The staff at the villa and the owner were all very helpful, Rose in particular helped to make it a great holiday from start to finish. A fabulous holiday which all the family enjoyed, I would have no hesitation recommending this accomodation or returning again. I would also say that the photographs although good, do not reflect the true charm of this lovely slice of heaven
