A magical experience. Arnold made us feel like visiting friends more than hotel guests. the building is like a time capsule, we felt like we had travelled back in time to a simpler time. We were instantly relaxed and enjoyed the entire space as much as we could. Our little dog Freddie 100% agrees.
Should have stayed longer that 2 nights. We will be back.

Exceptional. The host was responsive and gracious. We felt like family. The home and expansive grounds are breathtaking - literally. Our extended family was speechless from our photos of the flowers and buildings. We left relaxed and energized. Can't recommend this booking strongly enough. We'll be back!

We had an unforgettable stay. We were greeted by Arno and his beautiful daughter, France, and felt right at home. The peace and tranquility of the countryside mixed with the grandeur of this beautiful Chàtteu made this a memorable holiday. The dinner was the highlight of the day, with fresh and local ingredients, beautifully presented. . We travelled to the local town for a coffee and fresh Croissant with bikes provided at no extra cost. We also ventured to the nearby town, Angers, to taste wine and visit the ancient castles. The pool at the Chatteau was very inviting as it was heated. I will definitely be back to visit this gem in the Loire Valley.
I cant think of anything

Stunning property and grounds
Pool is exceptional, food and wine delicious
Due to historic nature it is very much an antique feel with some unusual features like a toiled in a cupboard and some of the heavy curtains felt dusty (only an issue if your asthma flares up) all to be expected with this style of chateaux

The whole experience was wonderful it’s more like living in someone’s ancestral home for a few days not like a hotel. The food is the best we have ever had in any hotel worldwide! The grounds are simply stunning and we used the bicycles available to cycle. Arnaud the host is delightful and one helps yourself to the bar in the evenings (you need to remember what you drink for bill at end) and everyone sits down for dinner at same time. No lunches or afternoon tea available but that is the charm of it it’s not like a hotel. The bedrooms are beautiful with modern bathrooms and incredible views. In my view an absolute gem!
I can’t fault it!

We were charmed from the moment we walked in! Truly felt as though we were staying at a friends country estate more than a hotel. Our dinner and breakfast were both delicious and everything was terrific. If I had to sum up the experience in one word, it would be CHARMING!
We really liked everything.

We were looking for some luxury for the last two nights of our 3 week holiday and certainly found it in this exceptional chateau hotel - large, very individual rooms in a lovely building, with the feel of an aristocrats country home, in marvellous parkland - but it is never stuffy but relaxed and comfortable with a friendly family run feel. The children (grown up) stayed in a separate building Les Frutiers which was wonderful too. Lovely pool area in a beautiful garden. The hotel is blessed by an exceptionally talented young chef Zha Zha (Ja Ja ?) who gave us great inventive thoughtful meals 2 nights running. Oh and the breakfast was great too - lovely cheeses.
virtually nothing - you have to go out or forgo lunch (not picnics allowed) -- worth splashing out.
