One night stop over & way home from Portugal.

Location of the hotel was amazing. Staff & owner couldn't of been my friendly & welcoming. Great view & very comfortable. Restaurant meal was fabulous, as was breakfast. Will return for a longer stay.

Great location, very friendly couple running the cozy little hotel. The service was over the top. Make sure to visit their restaurant, you won't regret it! 10/10 will recommend to anyone travelling in the area.

Perfect location, comfortable stay, amazing views

Excellent stay, perfect location, very neat room, very comfortable beds and mind blowing views from the balcony. The photos in the website don’t do justice to this hotel at all. I had very low expectations from the photos but the property is way way better than the photos. We really loved our stay here. It was very cozy and comfy. If you are self driving then this hotel is the perfect location as it falls right at the start of the town and thus you don’t have to navigate the narrow alleys of the town itself to reach the hotel. The property has ample free parking. The view from the balcony was amazing. Breakfast was basic but enough for us. If we go back to Zahara De La Sierra, I would stay here again.

Very well run hotel. Every extra appeared effortless and professional.

Very relaxing stay. Quiet rooms. Excellent set menu. (We would have liked to stay longer to try the whole extensive menu!)

Very good indeed - highly recommended.

The location is absolutely lovely and the restaurant and food particularly good. The owners were delightful hosts.

The only thing lacking is that the hotel has no common areas where one can sit. On the other hand, the open air restaurant with a view of the lake makes up for that.

Exceptional

Superb setting, spacious room and bathroom, very comfortable and huge bed, and a great breakfast. The area has breathtaking scenery with Zahara itself being lovely, as were Grazelema and Olvera. Mona is a very welcoming and knowledgeable host. I would definitely stay here again.

All part of the charm, but the steep climb into the centre of Zahara requires good calves and strong lungs.

Comfortable, well located and great food!

Excellent breakfast and the restaurant at the hotel for dinner was amazing! Best fish dish I have had in ages. The room was very clean and extra large bed was great. Older building refurbished over the years but perfectly comfortable. The owners were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

There was instant coffee in the room. But we we just popped down asking for real coffee and they happily brought it to our room. Great service and people. That was actually better than having a coffee maker in our room.

Gem of a hotel with a wonderful restaurants perfectly located in one of the best whites villages.

We booked this hotel at the last minute and found it to be one of our favorites of our two week trip. Fantastic on site restaurant and hosts. If you plan to eat there - check days they are open. Beautifully designed room with a lovely balcony and large bathroom with shower and tub. The hotel also has outdoor seating overlooking the reservoir. We enjoyed walking right down the street to a beautiful historic mirador to watch the sun set. Nice free parking in front.

We sleep very cold and couldn’t get the room cold enough and couldn’t open the windows because of bright lights. This wouldn’t stop us from staying again at all.

A peaceful place, in a beautiful location.

Breakfasts were adequate and under the reason for the system. A unique location, obviously popular. Our room was immaculate and the evening meals were most enjoyable

A little more room to sit outside, but not much space available.

Lovely hotel with great views and friendly staff

Lovely friendly staff. Room was spacious and nicely furnished and had a view of the lake and the bathroom was great. Good communication from the hotel ahead of our stay. Easy parking in front of the hotel. Great restaurant and tasty breakfast.

Small communal patio area for relaxing outside of the room could do with a bit of love or attention. Restaurant staff smoking spot was just underneath our bathroom window.

THE view! Cleanness! Location!

The room with the view of the lake. What else can we ask for? The spacious bathroom (a liquid soap for hair and body provided) and room. The excellent customer service. The breakfast was also excellent and the hotel's restaurant is highly recommended. Very quite neighborhood - village. VERY easy access to the hotel with a huge parking space. We had a quiet and comfortable stay at Al Lago! PS: for cat lovers, there is one friendly kitten, waiting for you to play! : )
