מקום קסום בכפר ציורי. בעלי הבית דונה וג׳ורג׳ מאירי פנים ומסבירים על המקום ועל החיים בכפר. מקום מושלם לקחת הפסקה זוגית במיקום מהמם. לא לפספס את ארוחת הערב שדונה מכינה במטבח שלה. ארוחת בוקר מקומית וטעימה.

Very nice American host married to a Cypriot. Freshly cooked breakfast with eggs, local halumi cheese, homemade jam, and more - for a fair price. Rooms in an old, beautifully restored stone house with lots of charm. The rural village has beautiful views.
It's a bit of hike up some steep stairs to get to the house, but it was worth it.

Where to start? At Our House, everything has a loving story behind. Like the meal freshly prepared by Donna Marie every day, with harvested locally and/or made in-house bites (believe me—the green marinated olives with coriander seeds the host picked and made herself were the best olives I've ever eaten in my life). Like the room where I slept, that is the actual place where George was born and now is deliciously furnished to be comfortable and modern. Like their orchard, where I took a stroll and tasted a fresh almond after George's suggestion.
If you want to stay in a traditional Cipriot house off the beaten track and equipped with all the modern comfort, Our House is the perfect place to savour every bite of your holidays, meet wonderful people, and collect peaceful memories.

Really nice stone houses, you get to see something different on Cyprus. Donna Marie and George are really nice hosts. Make sure you book a dinner at their place it is super delicious!

Loved the hospitality of Donna-Marie and George, very cool and easy going people! Donna-Marie is an amazing cook as she was kind enough to make us the most delicious halloumi stuffed zucchini flowers (the highlight of our stay :P) and offer us watermelon to accompany our gin! Not to mention they also let us to do a late check out! This place is value for money and we highly recommend it! Thanks Donna-Marie and George!

We've had a great stay at Donna Maria and George's House. They made us feel very welcome and we loved the calm and authentic city of Vavla. Don't miss the opportunity to have dinner there, the food is amazing and it's like eating in a private restaurant with views into the magnificent courtyard.

An absolutely special and spectacular location! A fairytale place and great hosts, Donna and George are extremely nice and so patient to talk about their wonderful house and about their family. I wonder how much patience they must have, to tell the same stories so many times, to so many curious tourists:)
We had a wonderful time! Very very good breakfast. And an absolutely magnificent homemade apricot marmalade-for me the one I was looking for to remind me of the Parisian breakfasts
The only regret is that it was only a long weekend for us, we stayed too little. And we didn't have time to enjoy a dinner prepared by Donna-Marie.

This is the best B&B I ever visited in my life. George and Donna Marie have created something so special and beautiful. The house is wonderful, it sits within a picturesque village in the green mountains of Cyprus but only 30 minutes drive from the airport. And the food is so so tasty. We booked dinner every day we were their and it was a real pleasure.

The place is amazing. I felt like we were being hosted in someone’s home. Has a real rustic vibe.
We were there in the winter and you have to go outdoors to get from the room to other areas of the house. But it’s really not a big deal

A great week. Donna Marie and George make you feel at home, and both breakfasts and dinners are superb - and in ample quantities even for doing lots of cycling! Vavla is a small village in the hills, yet it's only 10km to the motorway.

Staying with Donna-Marie & George is DREAMY. They couldn't be any more helpful or welcoming - and Donna-Maries cooking is INSANE. You MUST eat with them! They have a stunning garden where they grow... everything, and invite you to try all the fruit you can (I think I ate 10 figs in one sitting, they were THAT good). Our room was beautiful, with a powerful shower in the bathroom, a big bed, and doors opening onto the courtyard (but not an overlooked part). Vavla is a VERY small village, so you will want to rent a car. There are buses, but the timings, though reliable, are not frequent. Top tip - go and watch the sunset from the church - absolutely incredible view, straight down the valley. You will NOT regret staying at Our House - I already want to go back :)
Not having a car, and not staying longer! We stayed it the peak of the heat, but if you were there in cooler times, a kettle in the room might have been useful (which may actually happen in cooler months, I dont know).

We have experienced exceptional hospitality and kindness of the owners. The rooms and all the environment of the house is cosy, authentic and calm. The house is located is in a small charming village, away from touristic places and it allows to get a feel (and taste!) of the real Cyprus. The breakfasts and dinners were fantastic. We recommend this place for those who are looking for tranquility, authenticity and quality. Thank you and all the best, Donna Marie and George, we will miss you!

This is a special place on Earth with "one of a kind" hosts in Donna Marie and George. Their 100+ year old home is beautifully restored with all the modern amenities you need yet feels like an authentic Cypriot mountain home in a quaint village. But the real treat here are the wonderful hosts and learning about their life story. They are foodie people as well - they will not disappoint you at all in this regard. Book dinner in advance if you have time. It's divine! I'll probably never forget that apricot pastry Donna Marie made for breakfast and sitting with George watching the Euro 2020 ('21) soccer tournament semi-final. George is a heck of a character I really enjoyed it! Thank you DM and George!

We were looking for a mini-vacation to relax and rejuvenate, and within 2 days it felt like we'd been gone for 3 weeks! It was fabulous in every way. We ate dinner and breakfast there almost every day- the cooking was fabulous, the ingredients were home-grown, the hosts were like family, the historic building is impeccably renovated and filled with family heirlooms, the scenery was beautiful, the walks through the hills were scenic and serene, and the village is charming... we look forward to coming back frequently for years!

We loved to stay at the house and decided to have dinner and breakfast there. It was so delicious and all made by the host Donna herself. The atmosphere was kind, relaxed and calm. We can truly recommend to stay there and we love to come back there some time.

The landlady was very kind and carried my bag up and down the hill. Generally she was very open and welcoming.
The floor wasn’t swiped/mopped and the sheets on the bed were clean but not fresh, the bed must have been made long before the booking. The house is on a very steep hill, which was off putting for me to go back and rest at noon or during the day.

The location was lovely, peaceful and gave lots of insight into village life in Cyprus. Donna Marie is an amazing chef and George/Donna Marie are very kind hosts.
