Language barrier. Being told about the Tax that was not quoted on Booking.com. Language barrier.

I was told about government Tax which was not quoted on Booking.com. I was given two invoices.

Very good

The thing I liked the most was the willingness of the staff to accommodate our needs. We were a family of three and booked a room for 8 nights. I asked for an early check-in but messed up the arrival hour, so instead of arriving at 10:00 am as I initially asked, we arrived at 7:30. We were exhausted after a long flight and a sleepless night and Fabi was kind enough to let us early in the room to catch some sleep. This meant a lot for us. Besides that, the room and the resort were very clean, the staff was helpful, we saw no mosquitos during our stay and the night was mostly quiet. Overall, we did have a lovely stay.

Some small inconveniences. The breakfast could be richer and more diversed. Additionally, even though you could serve the breakfast between 7:30 and 10:00, arriving after 09:00 would leave you with a very poor choice of breakfast. The mirror in the bathroom was broken in half, the bathroom door would make a terrible noise when closing which would wake up everyone in the room and the AC remote had troubles communicating with the main receiver so sometimes it was a pain to adjust it. These are not necessarily complains rather than suggestions that I didn't get to communicate to the staff during the stay and I think would make the next tourists' experience more pleasant. :) Some other inconveniences that I addressed were immediately taken care of.

Decent hotel in Nungwi

5 minutes from the beach and restaurants. Hotel was nice, big portions for the food. We could use beach towels. Pool was nice and clean, well maintained.

Only one chair at the balcony. No small towels. Sometimes electricity goes on and off which is quite anoying. Early in the morning and late at night, stuff and other guests were slamming the door loudly.

Everything was excellent, they went beuond my expectations

very relaxing, nice garden , nice pool amazing customer care, very humble and kind caretakers

not much activities , at night is very quite, alcohol was hard to find

Very good

Good customer service, clean rooms and good breakfast.

The picture makes you think the hotel is facing the beach but it isn't, its a pretty good walk to the beach and that ruined my expectations. The wifi is terrible at night. It's also surprising that there's no ice available for drinks.

Exceptional

The best hotel i have ever been privileged enough to stay at. The staffs are all great especially one of the staffs named Fabrizio who went all and above to and made my stay comfortable. Clean rooms, great services, delicious food and most of it all close enough to the beach. I will recommend this to anyone.

Amazing, I’m still amazed how friendly & warm hearted Zanzibar people are.

The property was super clean and the stuff was very friendly . They had the best breakfast and best food compared to other restaurants in the area . The property was like 5 minutes walk to the beach (which was amazing ).

I wish they had a big full mirror for dressing up and an iron in the rooms. They did however offer to iron for us.

Perfect choice for Nungwi area

We enjoyed staying at Star Resort and would definitely stay again. We picked superior room with pool view. The location is 2 mins by walk to the shore, staff and cleanliness is amazing. They have been very helpful to us, especially manager Calvin has been very helpful. The breakfast was satisfactory with different kinds of fruits, local omlet with vegetables, and different kinds of drinks etc.

The only downside was that there wasn't a mosquito net on the balcony door but there was a very nice net around the bed. And hot water for the shower lasts 15mins and then your need to wait a little bit before another shower but this is the case in most hotels in the area. Overall we would definitely stay here again.

Very good

Wonderful place, ideal for families, helpful staff. Very close to beach. Ideal for realxtion. My kids liked it so so much.

The only weakness is the internet. I hope next time to be fixed as they promised.

Superb

The hotel has a good location, it is close to the beach. The stuff was kind, the rooms were clean.

Food served for breakfast could be better, it was cold and they served much better food for dinner then for breakfast. The road from the hotel to the beach is in a very bad condition and that could be arranged.

Exceptional

This past week was absolutely wonderful!!! From start to finish every single one of the brilliant staff was friendly and attentive. The resort is spectacular: wonderful decorations, lovely pools, superb food and drinks. I cannot say anything slightly bad about our experience here! This was our first time at Zanzibar Star Resort and i can’t wait to come back again. I HIGHLY recommend trying the for an absolute carefree and perfect holiday. Well done to everyone working at the hotel, you all deserve congrats for your splendid service.

Special night at ZSR

We stayed at the Zanzibar Star Resort for one night and had an incredible time; the service was exceptional, and the employees, were so friendly and welcoming. Everything clean and the surroundings was amazing, with views of the pool, the hotel lobby, and the garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will undoubtedly return soon. Again, thank you, Zanzibar Star Resort, for making our experience so memorable.

Everything was great, there was nothing that we did not like, except we wished that we stayed a bit longer!!

Amazing stay - few meters from the Beach

Ee had an amazing stay in Zanzibarstar Resort- we booked last minute and we couldn’t be happier. the rooms are nice and freshly renovated, everything is clean and we had everything we needed. we enjoyed our day on the 2 pools and the beach is only in a few meters distance. The staff been friendly and helped us to organize with the Airtport pick up and Snorkeling Tour.Especially Calvin the manager , made sure we had everything. We can definitely recommend it and will be back.

OK-ish stay

Loved the breakfast, the pool area was nice. Aircon and Fan in the room, Staff was friendly

Spider webs all over, hot water comes and goes, Not beach front as per the pictures. Cleaners found it ok to eat our snacks and have sips of our drinks, as if we did not notice :-)
