the cabin room was cosy and comfortable. Selection of activities a good range to choose from.
Food limited selection. All hot food was always cold even dinner.

Loved that place! Really magical.
The cabins are large, comfy, practical with the wet room.
Large floor to ceiling windows with a magnificent view.
Food much better than I thought it would be.
Loved that we could just walk around and pet the dogs!
They are so cute and friendly!
The only thing we were missing was hair shampoo and conditioner.

The scenery was gorgeous, with beautiful views and great hiking trails surrounded by wildflowers. The cabins were beautifully designed and comfortable. It was clear how much thought and care went into designing everything.
We were happy with everything.

- Location among nature
- Great staff
- Clean cabin
- New experience regarding the snow rooms, they were lovely, though we lived in a normal cabin (can’t bear the cold)
- No laundry service
- The worst Wi-Fi ever
- Very limited breakfast and dinner
- Location is good for relax only. But far from the center
- Hard to reach the cabin due to the pebbles on the ground
- The shower is an economy shower which runs hot for only 10 minutes, then went very cold. We paid a lot so we wished to have the option about being economical or not.

The concept, ice beds, warm room upstairs, sauna, lots to do outside. Sleeping in the snow hotel was an experience of a lifetime.
Expensive and far from town.

So many great activities and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. The food was amazing and the cabins were so cosy. I did the dog sledding, snow mobile tour and the King crab tour which were all brilliant. Enjoyed the 3 course dinners every night with all different local foods to try and had some drinks in thr ICE bar.

We stayed at the Gamme cabins for two nights during February. They are very comfortable, well isolated against noise (the huskies can bark during the night) and cold. The staff is super friendly, everyone greets and gets out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We arrived late due to a delayed flight and missed the dinner at the first evening, but the staff prepared delicious plates with different cheeses, salami and bread for us so we don't go to bed hungry. The breakfast buffet offers different cheeses, meats, salmon, eggs, cereals, breads, smoothies and more and is definitely enough to get you a good start into the day. We could borrow cross country skis and go skiing in the area, and see the northern lights right from our cabin window because they were so strong!
the area is very well light up, which is good for security reasons, but not so good for seeing northern lights. From our point of view, it would be enough to just have every second street light on or turn off the lights after midnight. Alternatively, if there was a dedicated area without lights from where you can spot the northern lights it would be the cherry on top.

The whole experience at the Snowhotel Kirkenes was was incredible, from the welcome at reception, to the attention of detaol of tje staff to the acrivities that we booked, and of course, to amazing night we spent at one of the rooms in the snowhotel.
The snowhotel: It was very comfortable comfortable and warm- they provide woollen socke, balaclavas, blankets, and sleeping bags so you're actually very warm during the night, despite the whole room being made from ice and snow. The bed was an air mattess with reindeer fur on it so it wasn't cold at all. Each room is decorated with a unique theme, we got the Bambi room which was cool. Unlike other snowhotels there is a warm room resrrved for hotel guests only where you can hang out have tea coffee and biscuits etc (because you probably don't want to spend too much time in the snowhotel apart from sleeping). There is also a place where you store your luggage, so you only take the essentials with you when sleeping at the snowhotel itself. There is a sauna also. As a guest you have dinner and breakfast included - the 3 course dinner was delicious, all locally sourced and seasonal food.
There is an ice bar where you can do shots on ice glass (afterwards you smash the ice glass on the ice table). We really appreciated that they opened the bar for us after we got back from our Northern lights snowmobile activity at 11pm (shout out to Carolina who served us!)
The staff: everyone was very friendly and had great attention to detail. They knew the activities we had booked so made sure that we can all fit it in, and served us our dinner quickly. It seemed like a place where the staff genuinely were happy to be there and there was a convivial community spirit.
The activities: we booked the Husky Safari, Sami experience and Northern Lights hunting by the Snowmobile. We highly recommend all activities.

The staff were great and the dinner and breakfast very good. The ice bar was the best bit. The whole area is lovely with a kappa you can sit in and you also get to see reindeer and the huskies. Its a gorgeous place all in all.
There was only one problem. We paid a lot of money to stay there (and sleep) but unfortunately they allowed tour groups to walk through the hotel past the bedrooms until 22.30. None of the rooms had doors, so if you wanted to sleep at 10 pm, you really couldn't.

The cabins are beautiful and very clean with great landscape. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. The snowhotel rooms are unique attraction that is worth to visit and see. We ordered one snow room for our boys that thought to try to sleep in the snowhotel but after visiting the room they decided that it was too cold for them so we asked to change our reservation and they were willing to change it to another cabin. We highly appreciated their flexibility.
There is not much to do in this area unless you want to take one of the excursions but we enjoyed our staying and recommend visiting.

We really enjoyed some of the staff. The reindeer in the snow bar is amazing. The room and beds were comfortable.
This place is grossly overpriced. In the end we really regret staying here - there is no value for the money. The views aren't amazing and the facilities would be fine if it was less expensive. In the end it just left a bad feeling. Nothing was amazing (food, reindeer farm, sled dog area, etc). Sadly, I would not even recommend visiting.

We came for the ice hotel in the middle of summer. We enjoyed the experience as we were the only guests there. Also, the hike around the area and access to lake from sauna was unexpected great bonus. Dinner was tasty and breakfast had a big choice. We enjoyed our talk with Angela from Estonia (staff) :)
There is no means to get to the hotel except the transfer which is very expensive (40 euros per person). The same price is then also to go to the airport.
For such a great hotel, the coffee was disappointingly bad and served from powder/capsules and snacks provided in the common area very cheap. The common area could be made more cosy.

Wonderful setting and facilities to decompress!
Map for hike over the hill could be improved. Some of the red stakes through the boggy areas were hard to find. Once I figured it out it was a great walk!
