Wonderful place after walking several very wet, rainy miles.

Good location to the Camino and cafes/markets. Gorgeous interior!!!

The train went right by our room.

A great stay! Would stay again!

The architecture and decor is amazing! Very “The Shining” meets art deco in the best possible way. The parquet wood floors and the spiral staircase are especially charming. The rooms are fine - clean and well-equipped. Our two-twin room was small but worked out just fine for two who are comfortable dancing around one another just a bit. The beds themselves actually had some individual privacy in our room. The bathroom was huge, and the shower was great. The room was quiet, but the morning did bring a serenade from what sounded like a million angry seagulls - nothing to do with the hotel, just seaside things. Breakfast featured plenty of options, including some hot. The location is great - on the Main Street in Matosinhos and near the Mercado, accessible to both Porto and the Camino. Staff was all pleasant and helpful.

The carpet in the lobby area is a bit dingy and stained. I don’t really care, but it’s one low point in an otherwise pretty well-curated property.

pleasant stay on Camino De Santiago

location ( on Camino de Santiago) I enjoyed the historical aspects of hotel - the common rooms had been lovingly restored

our room was very small , missing plug in sink to allow us to wash out clothes from trip . window very small so it felt a bit cave like

Superb

Pleasant staff. Good location near Matosinhos Market. Nice room and bathroom. Spotlessly clean. I stayed in this hotel years ago and didn't like it, but it is much improved now.

The tram line runs right outside which is convenient, but a bit noisy at night. Otherwise it's a very nice place to stay.

there was bed bugs in my room, I discovered in the middle of the night as my body got full of bites. it can happen anywhere. but I got changed to the room next to it I checked bed and I discovered the most disgustingly dirty bedding (mattress, pillows, duvet) room is smaller than in the picture, smaller than a prison cell

Very good

The location was truly perfect. 10 min from the beach. 20 min to Porto with Bus 500 (one way Ticket 2€) So many nice Cafés and Restaurants nearby. The personal was nice and the breakfast had enough to not feel hungry for a couple of hours. I fell in love with Matosinhos, so whenever I come back I’ll definitely try to get a room in this Hotel again.

Good location in Matosinhos, walking distance to the Matosinhos beach. Was clean room and good breakfast.

The AC was making some unpleasant and loud noises all the time…especially during night, so couldn’t really sleep properly. The rest was good.

Good hotel. Close to the beach and ~30 minutes to Porto center by bus or ~15 minutes by taxi.

The room was cozy and comfortable, the hotel staff is very friendly and eager to help.

There was neither any kettle nor glasses/cups in the room.
