The staff was so friendly and accommodating, felt like home! The property is excellently maintained and so close to amazing restaurants, sights, and the port. Couldn't recommend more.

Highly rated property. The perfect location away from the hustle and bustle to rest and relax while enjoying everything that the island has to offer all within a stones throw away.

What a delightful spot. Perfect location, just far away enough from the centre of town to avoid noise, but so easy to wander down in the morning.
Has been so beautifully fitted out and the furniture/interiors are incredible. All the staff went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable - no question was too small or request too large.
Breakfast was one of my highlights in the little courtyard - highly recommend the home-whipped yoghurt and muesli - so good!
We wil 100% be back and would not hesitate to recommend this sanctuary to anyone wanting to visit Hydra.

Great boutique hotel in a very good location with excellent personal service. Only breakfast is available but it’s of a high standard and served in a pretty courtyard garden by charming staff.
Very good bathroom but my shower only had a waist height and not a head height bracket for the shower head.

The staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful. They went so far as to sew a button back on my dress.
Coffee was a bit disappointing.

This place is brilliant with attention to details and a very warm atmosphere. The staff is off the charts attentive and genuinely kind. Matina is an exceptional person. She offers the best advice on what sights to see and where to go and will go the extra mile to be just the perfect host. I have never met a better host, before. She is a beautiful, genuine and pure person. Do book this place, you'll have wind blown trough hand made curtains and you'll feel at home on this beautiful, private, serene island.

Beautiful old property with lots of amazing antiques to admire and in a centrally location on Hydra. The daily breakfast was delicious, lots of options and always served with a smile.
Despite being a beautifully restored hotel with lots of history, we didn’t feel like we got value for money. It was an expensive stay and unfortunately our it didn’t live up to our expectations, however may be more suitable to a one-two night stay, as opposed to our 7 nights on the Island. Our room was very small with not much airflow, but could be just a result of the older style buildings. The room did have aircon though so that helped. Our room was located right in the reception area and as a result was very noisy - both street noise and then guest check in noise at all hours of the night. I cannot fault the staff they were always friendly and helpful. I would recommend the hotel for short stays, however not long stays, based on the room that we had.

We booked this late on our trip. It is a wonderful base a short walk from the harbour. It is a very good conversion of an old house.
Great welcome from the host.
Breakfast in the courtyard was a lovely way to start the day - although the options were limited and might wear thin.
This is a B&B, not a hotel. There are no other facilities aside from the room and breakfast
a few beers in the mini-bar would have been welcome

The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. We had a crisis coming from Athens: our ferry was cancelled due to strong winds so we contacted the hotel and Angela was extremely helpful in re-booking us on a later ferry. The location is great, just a few minutes walk from the waterfront. The building is charming, the room nicely decorated and very clean.
We've slept on more comfortable beds before... and breakfast was quite basic, nothing to write home about. But the service was very nice. The steps going down to our room on the lower level are very steep and the handrail does not extend to the very top - this should be rectified.

The window from the bathroom opened to an internal courtyard. There was no privacy.

The style of the hotel is excellent, such an inspiration for me as a designer. I came here 3d time for stay and it's always pleasant. The lady at the reception is nice and helpful. Breakfast was so cosy and tasty, the lady at the kitchen were preparing home made cakes and yogurt, I had the best omlet on the island. Classic music was playing. The neighborhood is friendly and relaxed, beautiful old farmacy is just 10 meters from the hotel. We had a room with little patio where we could have wine at the evening after swimming. Perfect place for 2-5 days stay if you want to explore Hydra.
