Great location to the beach, with a bus stop outside for links to Sintra. Note that the tram is NOT working (May 2023) and not sure if/when it will be. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. It's very clean and recently decorated and has a quirky sea and surf theme. The staff are lovely; all really friendly and helpful and breakfast is fresh and has a good variety for all tastes.

I don't want to be negative as it's a lovely hotel and what you get is reflected in the price. There is no AC and this may be more essential in warmer months, but for us this was not problematic.

Fairly loud due to street traffic. Room smelled of mold, therefore we had the window opened. Hence it was even louder…

The room was clean. The stuff was friendly.

We booked two rooms for couples. One double room. This room had too small bed - too short and very narrow. The bed was very high and narrow, so I was afraid to fell down. The room was small and very noisy. The bathroom was also uncomfortable. The intrance to the bathroom was very narrow, about 30 cm wide. It was not possible to open the door due to a bidet. You always had to take care of your back in order not to hurt it into the door. The bath had no hang for a shower had, so, you had to keep it while you were washing. We prefer shower insted of the bath. Another twin room was better, however, sometimes the water stream was too low in the bathroom. This room had comfortable beds and a terrace. The price was the same as for uncomfortable double room. The breakfast was on average. Staying in Portugal, you expect fresh fruits and they were missing for the breakfast. The coffee also was not good. Most of people like normal coffee. The tase was like nescafe from the package.

Extremely good value. It's rated one star because there is no elevator and no air conditioning but you cannot beat the location right in front of a beautiful beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great

Location is perfect. On Apple Beach, at tram terminus, near archeological site and restaurants. Breakfast adequate.

Neither towels nor bed are soft.

Considering this is rated as a one star hotel it is great value for money. Location is excellent for the beach and for the tram into Sintra. Can be noisy if a busy weekend, Staff are wonderful, breakfast is fine . We had an ocean view room with small balcony. Sandra was very helpful at the reception........free Wi fi worked in the main lobby area... Lots of interesting restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

We had a bad start with no hot water that was quickly fixed. Room was small. Beds were very hard and made a lot of noise if you moved. we were on top floor and the stairs are steep and marble -- be careful. Just keep reminding yourself it is a one start hotel and dont expect 4 star facilities.
