The room is quite big, enough space to drop your things, wardrobe and desk to work on if needed.
Also they have a restaurant, which open with the same hours as reception. The staff in the evening was very friendly.
Rooms have very little sound insulation, particularly the doors. You will hear everyone walk in and walk out. Not so great if you are sensitive or you want your kids to sleep a little longer.
Also breakfast is very basic: bread, boiled eggs, cereal, jam, few slices of meat. (Everything cold except coffee). Almost no fruit, but they have gluten free cereal option.

Traditional small town German inn, German-run and all clean and friendly as expected, mostly new and well executed room finishes, simple, no a/c, public parking ok, great value overall.

Nice atmosphere in a cozy town, river nearby.
Nice comfortable room.
Cappuchino machine at breakast.
Breakfast wasn't rich, only one hot item was eggs.

Property was clean and well kept, staff were also exceptionally friendly.

Pleasant guest house located in a colorful building. The decor is no frills, but everything is clean and tidy. Friendly staff. The room was spacious and the heating worked well. Very good continental breakfast. You can drink good beer at the bar.

A beautiful building typical of it’s German styling with an exceptional staff, free breakfast, and great views
an older renovation with Ikea type furnishings is not the best choice to portray this beautiful structure

A family-run hotel and restaurant - the owners are very kind people who put a lot of heart into their work. The building is historical and the rooms have been renovated very recently - they are bright, pleasant and comfortable, with a real hair dryer in the bathroom, a TV and comfy beds.
Breakfast buffet was complete with freshly baked buns (three varieties), soft butter in individual portions and quite a choice of salty and sweet additions, muesli etc. I did appreciate that my morning coffee was waiting for me at the table (in a thermic recipient), together with milk and sugar.
Throughout the stay I also received help while waiting for my car to be repaired and also to contact the repair place in German (that I don't speak). Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I'll definitely come back.
Two minor points :
- pillows are indeed a bit flat, I solved this by putting folded clothes under mine.
- there was quite some dust in the corners and under the beds in my room

the toilet/bathroom was really small. for us it was ok, but not for bigger person.

Food was excellent and reasonable prices. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Tea or coffee in room would be nice but available from bar.

We booked the hotel on our way through Germany. It met our expectations.
One of the staff member in the morning was rude... The other who was welcoming us in the evening was really friendly and flexible.

I was very impressed. A nice area and a nice small Gasthof. The room is modern and was very clean. Wifi worked well and there was even basic bathrobes. The price was good and included a basic breakfast which was plentiful. The bed was comfortable and the linens were clean. Not far from Chemnitz and even closer to the big outdoor Chemnitz shopping center.
