Private fully fenced back yard . Dogs are welcome w/ owner approval. Sorry no cats. Backyard features patio with grill, table and covered patio seating. Outdoor shower on side of house. Two cornhole boards with bags and a firepit with chairs. This home is powered by a groundwater heat pump which provides environmentally efficient central heating and cooling. On a sunny day the solar array on the roof provides a completely carbon neutral stay. Bring your kayaks. Steps to the creek with quick access to the Peconic bay. Explore the beautiful North Fork wetlands. Bring your bike and bike to the wineries or the Greenport brewery. 2 miles to beach, wineries, breweries, restaurants, pumpkin picking, farm stands and all the North Fork has to offer. Short ferry ride from Greenport to beautiful Shelter Island. Continue one more short ferry ride to Sag Harbour (The Hamptons) Easy trip from NYC VIA The Hampton Jitney (lovely coach bus) that will pick up/drop off 5 min away Note: We feel the house is very fairly priced and offer a 5% discount for monthly rentals. No further discount is offered. Also, we are unable to offer “beach passes” since they are specific to each vehicle. Many of the beaches sell day passes for non residents.

We had the BEST time at this house. The yard is fully fenced in and our dog loved it. There was a fire pit and we roasted s’mores. The house was fantastic. It was so comfortable and had everything we needed. Communicate with the owner was flawless. She was so friendly. We are DEFINITELY coming back! It was an awesome vacation!!

Where should I begin. I booked this home very quickly after we had to vacate the first place we were staying at due to bugs. After getting bitten up at night by what we were sure was bed bugs, we grabbed our stuff and ran. So imagine our horror when we arrived at this home and there were ants everywhere in multiple rooms, which I’m sure the owner knew about because there were ant traps, and a can of raid available. The owner seemed very friendly in the beginning. She even allowed us to check in early. And her home has a 4.8 rating, so it seemed great. But upon arrival I was trying to figure out how because along with the bug issue, there was also a bloody dead bug on one of the bedspreads, yes I have pics, the place is actually quite dated, and not exactly the cleanest, we took pictures of dirty toilets. So how in the world is it a 4.8, I’m really thinking that reviews have been removed, which is “allowed”. When I saw the state of the home we immediately asked for a refund, I could not chance another night in a bug infested home, we had just done that. The owner refused, stating that we had put one occupant down, my bad, it automatically put one when I refreshed and in my rush I did not notice. Nonetheless no one ended up staying, we booked accommodations elsewhere . Plus, if we’re talking about what was or was not mentioned, she didn’t mention her bug problem. I hoped that she would have enough integrity to at least credit us back half of our stay. But nope. VRBO was no help

This home was perfect for us. Close to the wineries and brewery, comfortable beds, clean home. The backyard is spacious, beautiful with the spring perennials, well maintained. The fire pit was a hit, and the complimentary smores were delish. We traveled with two dogs that were in thier glory. The owner is very easy to communicate with, and was more than accommodating with check in/checkout times. Thank you Christine for a wonderful 3 days on the North Fork. Hoping to return soon!

Lovely yard and neighborhood, efficiently laid out kitchen, comfortable beds. Reminded us of a summer place that had been in our family for generations. Solar power and geothermal heating/cooling make it a great carbon-free choice.

We love the North Fork because it is laid back and bucolic. We've stayed in 4 houses in the Cutchogue area counting this one. We loved this house especially because it has a huge fully fenced yard, so was ideal for folks like us with dogs! Very dog friendly for him and us to relax outdoors at the same time.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Cutchogue property, conveniently situated near beaches, vineyards, farm stands, the Greenport Brewery, and the towns of Mattituck, Southhold and Greenport, all with many attractions. We found the house very comfortable for our family of four plus two pets. It was clean and the outdoor area was perfect. Lovely porch and dining table for sipping coffee or cocktails. Huge firepit. Plenty of room in the fenced in yard for the dogs and kids to run and play. We also took all of the above down the street to swim. Kids rode their bikes on the quiet streets surrounding the property. The property host was fantastic and prompt in responding to my inquiries. We would definitely come again!!

A beautiful backyard in a great location on Long Island near fabulous wineries and breweries. The fenced in backyard was perfect for our one year old puppy and we got to enjoy the fire pit and BBQ grill.

Could have done better

Upon arrival we notice a strong small in the house of musty staleness. The floors had not been swept or moped and there was a great deal of dog hair everywhere. The bathrooms were also quite dirty. In addition there seemed to be an excessive amount of clutter and items left behind from previous guest. The checking process was easy and spoke to owner about the potential storms in the area at the time.

Very comfortable, clean house in a nice quiet neighborhood. Super for dog lovers - our golden retriever loved playing ball in the fenced-in backyard. We also enjoyed seeing and hearing lots of songbirds. Great location, easy to get to all - from beaches and shopping, wineries, etc.. Christine was welcoming and good with communications. Everything went very smoothly.

We loved our stay at Christine's house and hope to visit again! The house is perfectly sized and was close to everything the North Fork has to offer. Don't miss the fresh seafood at Braun a short drive away! WiFi worked great too. One small thing to note: the second bed in the third bedroom is actually an air mattress.

Christine’s place is wonderful if you are looking for a stay to relax out of the city and connect with the beautiful nature of North Fork. The house is ideally located near the beaches and beautiful preserve in a very quiet neighborhood. Backyard is also very enjoyable if you just want to stay home! I definitely recommend this place
