Great overall stay, close drive to the Main Street.
Neat and tidy, comfortable beds. Lots of games for the family to play together.

Lovely, relaxing area upstairs.
Good location, a minute from the walking-path along the water. Nice, open living area upstairs but no dishwasher, and a number of the plates were chipped around the edges. Dining chairs peeling but the rest of the furniture was good. Some condiments and basic supplies such as gladwrap in the pantry, which is helpful. Downstairs are the bedrooms and combined laundry/bathroom plus separate toilet. Downstairs area is dark and felt old. There seemed to be only plug-in column heaters downstairs, although we didn’t need them as the house was warm enough. Good house for the price, but can’t see a reason for the $500 bond, as there’s nothing valuable to ruin. Be careful of the “incidentals” they could take from your bond, such as accidental breakage, things that go missing, things the cleaner may report, not putting the wheelie bins out etc. Surprised to be expected to put the wheelie bins out – we figured it should be the owner’s or cleaner’s responsibility and not one of the reasons to retain bond money. Had to chase-up the bond return two days after check-out. Lots of DVDs available to watch, and a Wii, although we didn’t use them. Overall it’s a clean, comfortable house and we had a lovely stay, particularly enjoying the bright, spacious upstairs area. Quiet, peaceful area with a view of farmland, water and rooftops from upstairs.
$500 bond and expectations attached to it. No dishwasher. Narrow, steep steps to the living area could be a problem for some people. Needs better lighting and more powerpoints. Some furniture/crockery needs replacing.

Good
Great location being close to the beach. The lounge and deck was great.
The bbq had food left in it from previous people. Outdoor tables were filthy like they hadn't been cleaned at all by their cleaners. As a warning to others, take photos when you leave. We vacated on the day we were meant to and the house was not inspected for over 24 hours after we had left. This resulted in being accused of damaging the outside of the property when we hadn't. They tried to take our deposit. They were slow in returning the security deposit. We would have considered returning in the future but because of this incident, we won't.

It’s ok
We found the upstairs area more pleasant than the bedrooms. The kitchen and living room are well-equipped with pretty much everything you’re likely to need. Some guests might be bothered by the lack of dishwasher.
If you’re thinking about booking you may want to be aware that the additional security deposit is $500 and from our experience, you may need to be prepared to chase this up as we weren’t given a meaningful indication of when the property would be inspected post check-out in order to refund it to us. We thought this amount was excessive for this property and the process overall unsatisfactory.

Quiet location. Comfy beds. Close to beach but unfortunately no good for fishing. 5 minute drive to great fishing spots,
The outside deck which is where we spent most of our time whilst at the property. Beach was close for a morning or evening walk.

This was our 2nd stay at this property and was just as impressed the 2nd time round.
The hosts are fantastic - very friendly, responsive & very accommodating. The house is very clean and the beds are super comfortable. Plenty of room to park a boat. Very short walk to the shore. This was our 2nd stay at the property in 4 months and we would be more than happy to stay again. It's great for a few days or a few weeks.
